1" I.D. silicone exhaust rubbers. I've used these on FMF's, PT's, Toomey's, and most recently on my Shearers. $10 shipped for a pair, or $15 shipped for a pair with 4 hose clamps. I have 4 sets available.

CHROME Shearer Small Bore Inframe

Just like the title says. I bought these pipes off of ebay. They have one small weld on the inside of the right pipe... can't be seen when mounted, and the left silencer has been re-riveted as you can see in the pics. No blueing. Looking to get $375 shipped. I have no idea what they're worth... -
Hey Mike. As the resident shock guy here at BHQ, I'd recommend you save up a little more money, and buy shocks that were designed for the banshee. YFZ shocks will work, but they won't be what you are expecting. Banshee stock shocks are 14.75" eye to eye, and YFZ shocks are 15.75" eye to eye. It takes a little work to get them mounted, as they are actually too long to be used with stock arms. A good entry level aftermarket shock, would be a set of Works Performance shocks. They can be had for roughly 200-300 bucks. On the lower end will be a single, or dual rate smooth body (non res), and on the upper end, will be a dual or triple rates with res's. What you do is totally up to you, but the cream of the crop would be a set of Elka's, or Axis shocks like Ryan mentioned above.

Aftermarket cool heads use longer studs. Odds are the previous owner had a Cool Head on the bike, and put the stock one back without changing the studs back before he sold it to you. Take a pic of the head if you can, and that would give us more to work with.

Rear brakes are over rated. Be a man.

What's even funnier, is your buddy saw the bike, tried to kick it over, knew it was seized, and STILL picked it up. I'd go after your buddy for that 225 bucks.

Just an FYI... race gas does NOT give you more power regardless of how it is mixed with 91. If you ran 91, you will not notice any power gains, and in all actuality, could hurt performance if you don't have enough compression to burn it efficiently.

Deadly crash in California 200
So Cal Suspension replied to sandtazam's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You guys are both right... with the exception that no one is blaming any organization. I have said all along that the people shouldn't be there, hence the reason I wasn't right there. I was further up on the course, in a smooth straightaway section. This is the first major accident that I can recall EVER to happen at an offroad race on US soil. Sure, it happens down in Mexico, because the people down there are idiots and ask for trouble; Setting booby traps, changing course markers, etc. If the BLM is going to kill desert racing for good, then they are obviously admitting SOME fault for this event. If it was of no-fault-of-their-own scenario, they'd simply say "yep, the people were stupid, it's their own fault, let the races continue!". As far as the government protecting people from themselves; Do you ride your ATV with a helmet? Wear a seatbelt? How about use crosswalks instead of jaywalking? The government has been protecting its own citizens for ever, and I don't think they plan on stopping any time soon. My conclusion is this: Don't shut down off road racing for the stupidity of the spectators. Perhaps impose a fine for anyone caught too close to the course? It'd be just like another seat belt, or helmet law. But then again... that would take the BLM to step up and actually do what they say they will. -

As many of you know, I am into HEAVY desert racing, and have spent many years working in the industry professionally. I was there at the race. I started a thread Saturday night in general off topic. I lost two buddies, Aaron Farkas, and Anthony Sanchez, and my other friend Matt Torian has tons of broken bones. First of all, it's not a turn... it's relatively straight, Brett just got a little sideways coming off of the jump. I've been friends with Brett for about 7 years, he knows that course, and has driven it TONS of times. There ARE signs posted every 200 feet or so around the entire course advising spectators to stay back 125 feet. That section of the course has been a problem for ever, and MDR can only do so much. They put up the orange netting every year, and it gets taken down by the spectators LONGGG before the race ever starts. It is up to the BLM to control the crowds. It is their land, not MDR's land. BLM issues the permits, and MDR pays for the police presence. You know how many rangers were out there that night? ONE! ONE BLM Ranger! We have been BEGGING BLM for the last 5 years to shut that part of the course down to spectators, and they have done nothing. Maybe now since there's been a tragedy, they'll actually listen to what we've been saying. It's hard to place blame here on anyone other than the spectators. Even though two of my friends died, I have a tough time putting blame anywhere else, other than on them. They were both very experienced out there, as they BOTH have raced there before. Aaron has a Class 15 car, sponsored by SealMaster, and he knew better than to be there. There were thousands of people at that section of the course. It's the place to be. I, however, know better than to go over there... I was parked farther up on the course closer to the start/finish. It sucks that it will take something like this to make the BLM actually step up and do something. Either don't allow the races, or control the crowds. When there are large events in the city, your permit fees cover policing of the event... why should this event be any different? If the permit fees aren't enough to cover the cost of the rangers out there, then RAISE THE FEES to the organizer. -
COUPLE ? HERE NEED HELP
So Cal Suspension replied to punkass1323's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Uhh, what? If you're talking about the little bottle underneath the seat, that is a coolant overflow bottle... Do not put oil in there. Yes... you need to premix the gas. Use the search function to find the 458,000 threads that have been started about oils and mix ratios. Please do not start a new thread asking what oil or ratio to use. -
Oh no... he's from Murrieta... Damn locals....

I would go for the UPP chain slider, or similar. Those rollers are junk and wear out in no time. Jeff at F.A.S.T. can definitely get you one.

Best way to remove burnt stuff on pipes
So Cal Suspension replied to ELKARACING_SHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I LOL'd. Anyways... like 12 0 clock pimp said... you will need to soak it. I have seen felt soaked in wd40 work really well. The felt won't scratch the pipes, but is JUST abrasive enough to work it lose. Use plenty of WD40 and git-r-done! -
+2 on this. The wickeds are built extremely well, and a TON of people run them, and love them.
-
The stock front shocks are not rebuildable. The rear shock I do for $65, plus parts. Parts usually cost about $50 for the rear, and my labor costs include oil, nitrogen, and return shipping. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Hit up John. (NYUK). I'm sure he's got quite a few in stock.

Hey, happy birthday douchebag. Now pay the people who you owe money to.

I run the full set of ITP sand stars. They were definitely a step up from Sand Skates. I'd recommend them for the average rider...

Spark Plug Brand and Type?
So Cal Suspension replied to EvilBanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have heard bad things about getting creative with plug configurations. I run, and always will run NGK BR8ES. Iridiums I've heard have issues with losing electrodes. I may be totally wrong, but someone else will probably chime in with their own personal experiences. -
This is like asking what type of women you like. LOL. My opinion, for best "all around" pipes, you would want a mid-range pipe. Maybe something like I dunno... old school FMF signature series? Currently for sale for $200 shipped. LOL. All different type of FMF's are popular, T5's probably take the cake in popularity. Mainly just personal preference, really.

I didn't look over the ad too much, but it looks like it might be aluminized ceramic coating. That stuff holds up VERY well, and I believe Nick (nos350x) has had a set of Paul Turners ceramic coated. The flame design looks awesome, and opens up a whole new possibility for pipe-coating options... Good find!

Alright. I'm going to make one post, and only one post acknowledging your opiate induced, self indulgent rambling. I would suggest that you go back and read my post, obviously for the first time, since clearly you didn't read it before you spouted off at the mouth... I simply said I was I wondering if you know who you're buying your cranks from. Call me a skeptic , but when there are all of a sudden two crank manufacturers in the same city, both claiming to "be near Disneyland", both offering cranks at stupid low prices, you refusing to give up who the manufacturer is, and both appearing on the scene at about the same time, it doesn't take an FBI detective to figure out that something isn't right. Here's the deal Alf. I have told you 10 times that I stood by you and backed you 100% from day 1. I've purchased parts from you, and had no bad dealings whatsoever. I wish EVERYONE could say the same, but they can't. I would HIGHLY suggest that you get down off your high horse, and realize you're shitting where you eat. This is NOT starting shit, by the way. I posted the link that was brought to my attention in the shoutbox, fully intending it to be a good deal, and to inform other members. If you are bitter because the price from this guy is better than yours, that is not my problem. Oh, and I've never giving a single piece of good advice? You are higher than balls on a giraffe, my friend. There are tons of members on here that I help on a daily basis, and will vouch for me. I leave, and go to dinner, and I come back, and I read all this bullshit that you've spouted citing personal attacks? Come on bro... you're supposed to be a business man, act like it. Act like a grown up. It only makes you look like a child. In conclusion, there is OBVIOUSLY something fishy going on here, that neither party are willing to admit. The only way Alf could possibly prove that these are not coming from the same place, is to give up a name of a company. What is the reasoning behind being so secretive? Are you afraid that someone might UNDERCUT you? Someone might possibly get a better deal than you, and sell these cranks out from under you? Again... grow up. I am going to suggest that this thread be closed, since it will end up going out on a tangent that doesn't need to be. I have proven my point, and succeeded.
