  1. WHAT is this doing for my power output ? more topend/bottom/everywhere??? putting the spacer behind the reeds
  2. what kind of power increase does those finger ports add bottom/mid/top ???
  3. this is how the piston sits in the cylinder with a .060 base gasket i'm going to be using a stock base gasket and make some changes up top.

  5. i have the 4mil and 10mil cylinder here that im working on,and it seems that they use the same cylinder for all 3 cranks,10mil one being alittle taller but all ports and tranfers are the same,and that doesnt seem like the right thing to do to me. well i'll be porting the 10 and the 4mil this week and though id post what i find while doing so. ive started on one here

  7. well the cub i have here now runs at its best at +12 .... we tried lowering it at the track and it slowed the bike down. the two things that most say NOT to do (timing and compression) is the very thing that makes use down here at sea level faster. the more we throw at it the faster they get......oh and its only pavement racing for us also.
  8. i had the timing at +12 the whole time i was tuning it,maybe vito's dont like that much timing.....being that it was bogging off the line i figured dropping the timing would only make it worst.
  9. well this is the motor im having trouble with....it has a bog on take off and it bogs between gears on a full override its on alky,after i went from a 58 pilot to a 48 the take off bog got better but it still doesn't feel right when going threw the gears. ive built stronger stock cylinder 4mil
  10. yes,its the bigblock 421 i think its lean then because the cylinder and pipes get to hot to hold your hand on for 2seconds after 2 runs....and it bogs between shifts with a full override. and i have a 421cub here that you can make 5 passes on and still hold your hand on the motor as long as you want right after the runs. im starting to think PJ Carbs are not good for alcohol.

  12. well the domes are 17cc and the compression is 184psi i'll have to get the squish later.
  13. they sent a base gasket of .060 which is needed to get the piston to not come out of the cylinder. i change the pilot jets to 48 and it got better but it still bogs......also it seems like it's taking off in 2 gear and bogs when shifting though the gears......1-5 override...you can hear the rpms drop when you shift. im starting to think it has some thing to do with the cylinder setup though
  14. well,do there sell a offset piston or spacerplate that would allow me to run a 10mil crank under the 4mil cub cylinders ?

I just put some 34MMpj on a 421 setup and it runs good up top but boggs really bad on take off. pilots 58 main .108 needle on first clip...... dump tube .122 i had the main at .120 and the bog was worst....also where should the choke knobs be set at because it seem to rev better when i turn them out. sealevel vito's HIGHFLOW powerjets......and they dump alot of fuel!!! 180psi +10 timing CPI's O/F Will the pilotjet cause a bad bog if its to big? its not a lean bog because its hard to clear it out....OR is it that PJ's are just bad carbs to run on Alky?

  19. i know somone that has one of those cranks,the weld broke and the crank started to come apart after maybe 4 passes down the track. took it apart because the tranny was bad,and found the crank problem,vito did fix it for free though. guess he should be glad he had a tranny problem or he could have had a totally wasted motor if that crank had come all the way apart.
  20. i found a brandnew supercub cylinder and pistons for $1299 is that a good deal ? all i'd need is a head right,or do i have to get different reeds and carb boots ?
  21. well i have mixed them and they worked fine,and also have tried to mix others and it not work i had one that when you tight down the cases together the tranny would become hard to turn over....so i switched the cylinders to the matching cases and it worked find would. so some will work and some won't.

  23. i got someone that wants to go from his cheetah 68mm to a supercub 72mm he ask me what the difference is in power,and well thats what i would like to know as welll?? is it worth it 4mill crank under it.

I have a set of vito 68mm triple port cylinder here,but after comparing them to the stock cylinders the tranfers are alot smaller on the vitos,now i'm wondering if i should port them before install......take a look below and tell me what you think. its going on a 4 mil longrod vito crank. does anyone on here run them for drag racing,if so how are they?
  25. what do they do to the cubs for porting??lower or raise exhaust ports/tranfers??make intake bigger??
