  1. that is according to the size of the banshee......of corse a 18mil dm is going to run away from one. but the smaller ones have to be more careful around here. i ran 7.1 et at the track yesterday with my stockbore trx450,with 110 fuel,+4 swinger bike NO,ALCOHOL,NO OVERRIDE,NO WHEELIE BAR,if i added those and threw a big bore cylinder on there im sure it could run in the 6.8 6.7 range or lower and ive seen cub motors run 7.0/6.9's so like i said smaller ones better be carful down here
  2. im about 3 hours away from florida,those guys come down here alot to run,but most won't even take the bike off the trailer for under $5000.......there are some VERY VERY FAST banshees in fl. and no they don't tell whats in there,but there is things you can look for on the engine to help give you and idea what he's got etc//epoxy cases,bigbore pipes,spacerplates,TALL cylinders
  3. it was alcohol...nothing else don't get me wrong a banshee is super fast 4 the money,and given the fact that its been around so long there are alot of parts to make it go fast.....BUT don't for 1 second think that a 4 stroke can't beat them...there's alot of guys that have gotten there feels hurt thinking nothing could beat there banshee. as years go by 4strokes are getting faster and faster with just ONE piston and ONE carb.
  4. well i don't know about the 10mil cubs but i have seen a 10mil t-rex get beaten by a 804cc raptor 3 times...guy with the banshee thought he had a easy win so he bet big $2000 the first race and $500 the last two......sad day for him. i don't know about sand,because we don't race in it because traction,tire type,weight of bike will make a bigger difference. pavment is a much better test of motor to motor power. ex. in the sand i can have a smaller motor than you and beat you because i get more traction while your big motor just spins the tires and we race for money so its pavment or nothing down here.
  5. only thing i can say to you is you have not run against the right 4 stroke yet a 700 raptor will EAT a 10mil banshee if its built right......any banhees smaller and its not even close. some 700's have more tq that a banshee got hp there is a 115hp/80fttq raptor running around thats not even fully tuned in yet.......it would take a 10mil or bigger banshee to pull that kind of power. just info. hell my 470 trx will give a stock cylinder 4mil a DAMN GOOD run!

  7. these plugs are suppose to make more power and have a much better burn rate,i was thinking of trying it on a alcohol motor to see what it does.......what ya'll think ?

This thing is pissing me off,the ball keeps getting welded to the rod....wicked atv said they have a fix for it,but someone told me they don't work either........anyone got a link to some kind of bearing kit or something that will solve this problem. i've got 3 banshees in the shop that all have problems with it the one with the lockup is the worst one. and does a lockup need special springs to work or can the springs from any clutch kit work ?
  13. Another head has been cut milled and its on and running.....this head is cut to run one head gasket with NO plates.

  17. brandnew 5mm longrod 4mill HR cylinders where freshly bored to fit piston

  19. this is a FULL HOTROD STROKER KIT that comes from motosport.....the $799 kit 4mil/5mmlongrod crank...pistons gaskets all included clearance was good as far as squish go's,but it looks like the edge of the piston was hitting the head,you can't see it in the pic though this motor is run on alcohol....those marksontop of the piston are from the metal getting in between the piston and head after it cracked...not det or pre det.
  20. the plates go on top,there between the head gaskets that comes with the kit. i have sense had a head cut to run without the plates.
  21. i installed a hotrod 4mil kit with stock head,and i used the spacer plates that go on top we ran it up and down the street about 6 times than we hit the track and made one pass and this happen!! after looking at the head and piston it looks like the piston may have been hitting the head...JUST ALITTLE on the edge because the head was not cut to fit the bigger bore piston,so im thinking that maybe it was the cause.......what do you think......can alittle tap on the head with the piston cause this ??

  24. i don't have time to send it off....need it done in 2 days.................if he can't tell me then i'll find someone that can. i got a machine shop close by that can cut it,i just needed to know how much......and i know the chamber has to keep the same shape for proper squish and fuel burning.
