  1. super cubs start at 72mm right well all the ones ive seen have 6 bolts holding the reeds 65-68mm cubs have 4
  2. when i say its a tight fit,i mean the .007 feeler gauge fits tight between the cylinder and piston.
  3. my piston to cylinder clearance is .007" its a tight fit but it go in i guess thats two big huh
  4. super cub and big cheetah have 6 bolts holding the reeds in small cubs have 4
  5. i had one here that only had 90psi and it ran really good! i also only run 125psi on a drag ported stock cylinder and it runs 6.5 in 1/8mile i doubt compression was your problem
  6. OK, lets say that i took a stock cylinder and decked it .030 then put a .040 base gaskets under and it came out with a .050 squish what would that do for power increase ? would i lose bottom and gain top being that i raised the ports up ?
  7. 40 pounds is good for 2 tenths and 2 mph
  8. its got 18" tires we prefer smaller tires>>>less weight and more speed once gearing is right......going to 20/33 gearing....its running 106mph now with 20/36 has big bowls lockup 1-5 override also it keeps wheeling, taking off in second and going 12o clock in 3th-4th i thought these long mouth frames didnt need a wheelie bar...i was wrong
  9. where kind i get the max load bearing from ?
  10. well i want it to run as fast as possible so i'LL try dropping the comp first.....may go down to 130psi and work up if needed
  11. so you think the case may have something to do with it ?
  12. im not going to use it again.
  13. everything else is good to go....no case damage, when i was riding it kept bogging when i switched gears so i shut it down and tore it apart. the crank was VERY close to the case on this side too,so i think it was separating.
  14. ITS a stock stroke H/R crank drag ported alky carbs +12 timing 125psi i never seen a crank bearing do this also what is the rod clearance suppose to be ? i got .035 on the side that the bearing went out on....clutch side.

    10 mil cub

i have a 10mil cub that im putting together and i want to know if it sound like a good setup for 1/8mile dragging 39pwk alky setup 19cc domes 200psi +10 timing 20/36 gearing 18/10/10 A-racers tires 1-5 override custom drag frame shears bigbore pipes does this sound pretty good ? what would you change ?
  16. these are out of a stockcylinder alky motor +12 timing 125psi do they look ok
  17. your clutch is slipping
  18. ok if you have i bike on alky with 150psi and you go to 180psi will your jetting become to rich or to lean ? i know on a 4 stroke if you increase the comp you usually go smaller on the main jet so im wondering if its the same thing on a 2 stroke.
  19. ok ... i was thinking that theres a power difference sense most say that you have to get the tranfers lowered 2mm if you install a 4mil crank...bec ause as we know the piston will go below the tranfers if you dont
  20. if a piston falls below the tranfers at BDC what will that do ? does it have to fall in line with the tranfers to run correctly ? i installed a 10mil in vito cylinders awhile back and the pistons went (about) 4mm below the tranfer windows.......and they were 10mil cylinders according to vito.
  21. $100 shipping
  22. what mm piston is this ? 65mm
  23. i did alittle testing and it seems if its to tight it will hurt topend power.. also seems like the more i drop the compression the better it runs
