  1. If nothing else helps ohm plug caps separately, 5K , trim 1/4" off wires , install caps with dielectric grease. Clean nubs on the flywheel of rust, set pickup gap, .018" Check that ALL connections are clean, tight, add dielectric grease. Grounds also !! Check ground at stator and stator plate to engine case, no white corrosion allowed.
  2. Pics of carnage ?? Future reference, when they start running bad there is less collateral damage if you stop then.
  3. Highly doubt it, not with the back and forth distance between "clunks"
  4. When was last time oil was changed and what are you using ??
  5. Could be leaking between boot and the carb. Or could be slide cap gasket.
  6. So how much time do you have on this build ?? How long did you run it with old carbs and shitty tune ?? Did this problem start suddenly or did it develops slowly over time?
  7. While fucking around with it inspect the boots closely. Cracks might only leak while engine is running. Only thing that leakdown test can't detect is issue with carb or leaking exhaust.
  8. I sure as fuck wouldn't run it anymore. Something is wrong and about to explode. Fix it BEFORE there's collateral damage.
  9. The dual single didn't have anything to do with running out of gas. Where the fuck did you get that idea ?? On a positive note, it probably helped to keep from melting a piston.
  10. You don't want secrets, but that's exactly what you're looking for, lol. Reread Gorden Jennings, the answer is in there. Short answer is measure straight across ex opening, that's cordial width. Device that into bore Diameter, that's % . I thought mains opened before secondary, secondary before rear boost to aid in evacuating previous charge
  11. Been lots of positive feedback on them. Look in the Sponsor Spotlight topics
  12. So who determined that the new pistons fit the bore correctly ?? My old ass eyes can't see what the top of the pistons look like.
  13. IF you cleaned it well with brake cleaner, let dry, used high temp rtv , let set/dry 24hrs minimum it might seal if shit isn't all bent and fucked up.
  14. You're still comparing apples to oranges. Build a 800 cc + two stroke and see if you lack bottom end. Or a 450 cc single cylinder 2s to compare to a YFZ, or a 350cc twin 4poke to compare to a Banshee.
  15. I'll bet if you did plug chop correct it would look even leaner.
  16. Doesn't appear to be much input. Can you see if it is welded ? No matter, unless you are building a high HP engine I would run it as is.
  17. Low end power is kinda subjective. By design a Banshee will never have much. Obviously a 4poke will, but if it were a twin cylinder, it would be no better than a Banshee.
  18. If color is the determining factor you may miss out on a nice machine. I know prices are all over the place in the Murder Mitten, 4k seems a bit high, but without seeing it, plus there might be some wiggle room.
  19. Just milling head doesn't improve chamber design. Mull Engineering does a nice redesign. Driveline can cut for replaceable domes. No clue for elevation, probably 20-21. Carbs will come further into a build. Porting starts at about $350 and you'll have a fair amount of down time. If you don't want to pop for VFs, get some Vito's or Boysen reeds. Biggest bang for the buck is pipes at this point. Type of riding, how much you want to spend, and how much you want to build the will determine which pipe is best. If you have the stock air filter, get rid of it. Get Pro-flo or pods, depending on use. You can actually modify the stock stator plate and get about 4* advance, which is all you'll ever need except for extreme racing conditions.
  20. Pussy Pink and White arms
  21. Electric Blue or Lightning Purple
  22. Definitely a Presidential Solution, clean hole with brake cleaner and fill it with silicone. Kid will have to learn to idle it by jazzing the throttle.
  23. Magic as in metro DEEtroit area?? Which one? Two different ones.
  24. Could be stretched cable or it may need an oil change. Or adjustment at the clutch.
  25. All well and good for you !! Other than the fact that for Banshee's they have a very high failure rate. If in fact it does work flawlessly for you, don't buy any lotto tickets for a while, you done used up all your luck for a while.
