  1. Bad news just when I thought it was coming together I got a call from the guys over at the shop and apparently they couldn't do the bore job on the right cylinder due to the previous person dueing the bore wrong..the prvious bore was dont slightly at an angle sucks bummed me out...so now I have to find some new jugs..if it's not one thing it's an other.. 2. So I've been working on my shee and it's all coming together. My jugs are in the shop getting bored and ready for pick up tomorrow. Last thing on my mind now will be the jetting yet again..where should I be? The shee has : Noss cool head with 19 cc domes 28mm mikuni carbs Uni pods no airbox at all 4 mil hot rod crank With 65mm wiseco Long rod pistons First trip with the rebuild will be to Ensenada Baja California and elivation will vary from sea level to 1500ft..any suggestions? 3. Thank you..never seen those if I did see them in a hard ware store or any store I would have thought they were fancy c clamps..haha Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for all you guys for your advice..I ordered the top end rebuild kit from wiseco with the 65mm piston for long rod crank...can't wait to put it back together and do some riding again
  5. Yeah I looked into wiseco website and they are 64.50..those calipers are what I had at the moment and I didn't want to buy something more espensive if I was only going to use once..but I'm interested in the micrometer I have never seen or heard of that one.. 6. Haha yeah that's true..earlier I said I thought the pistons were stock but after scraping away the carbon build up on the left piston I came across the numbers on the top 795M06450..so I got that they are 795 series for a long rod crank is the 6450 part mean the piston is actually a 64.50 mm because my caliper is showing a straight 64.00 they aren't the best calipers but what do you guys think? 7. No idea what the brand those pistons are I'm assuming still oem they are 64mm pistons and the top of the pistons are completely charred and have a strange dimple/pit i have never seen been done to a piston..the pins are still in just too far in to where they are serving their purpose. .yeah fresh bore coming up..yeah probably the reason why the guy never returned my calls Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  8. so here is a pic of what has causing the compression issues and thanks for the suggestion for tapatalk it worked easily Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks you guys. I'm in the process of a complete break down when I come across some free time..so far I just came across everything I mentioned..I wasn't aware that mikuni jets came in increments of 10 but as soon as I figure out how to resize a picture I will begin posting pictures. It keeps saying files are too big to upload.
  10. Back in May I bought a banshee of a guy on craigslist and I was aware of the mods he told me he made (simple bolt on). after running it I found it had some issues and posted a question about jetting thinking it was the issue. After doing a leak down and compression test, it only failed the compression test. I decided to do a top end rebuild and found some things the guy didn't mention as i took it apart. it has: Toomey T6's Noss performance cool head with 19 cc domes 28 mm Mikuni carbs main jets 295 with uni filters no airbox then I came across the Hot Rod crank (H.R. 204/ C.K.158 with 115mm rods so im assuming long rods) i wasn't aware of...I tried to get a hold of the guy to ask some more questions, what he was going for to get an idea of what I need to buy for the rebuild but he never returned my calls or texts so my questions are: what was he going for? how many cc's does the banshee sit at? does anything sound wrong with the set up i need to correct? what pistons should i get and how to tell which pistons are for long rods and short rod? sorry for all the questions i just want to do it right..thanks in advance
  11. it started sputtering and back fires also it stated to do a knocking/slapping noise..im going to do a compression test then rebuiled the top end if I have to so if it running to lean do to jetting id want to fic the issue before rebuilding the top end
  12. I also forgot t mention main jet currently sits at 195
  13. I have a 2005 Banshee with ToomeyT6 ,a trinity stage 4 2in1 intake with a Keihin 35mm carb. What jets should I be running? mostly ride around 1700 to 4000 elevation. Occasionally ill drop down 300's -Glamis what else would affect what jets I should be running? thanks in advance
  14. haha yeah the guys only reason for having a single carb set up was only having to deal with one. what are the pros and cons to having a single carb? other than only having to deal with one.
