  1. If you can meet up some where you can ride take your's down the trail a ways, the two of you swap rides. Be objective for what you want. Sounds like the R has had some work done. Check it out good. If you like it, try to find flaws to help your side. Maybe you could get some $ with the deal. JMO.
  2. That's a very interesting observation about TYPE of machine using atf. Might rethink about using it. What do you think about mixing gear saver+atf? Best of both worlds? Being computer dummy, search doesn't work to good for me. Can't seem to narrow search enoug, lol. "Example", don't need 25 pages of "Ported Stock Reed Cages". Just one pic of before + after.
  3. I hope not, mine's loose as an 8 Mile Hooker! Plus there's a blob of weld holding it on, I didn't do it!
  4. Did you find the missing gear tooth?
  5. So you're saying if it needed rod or center brg it's scrap?
  6. HOLY HOG FUCK! I can do transfers better with a hammer and chisel. When the dog sat on the sandpaper he said "RUFF".
  7. Fraid I cant help with the clutch. But being a computer retard, I must not be doing searches correct because either I don't get a definative answer or I end up with threads from all topics on forum. I'm sofa king we todd did!! LOL!!
  8. Two things come to mind. Cam chain loose enough to jump time but not hit valves, one or both valves have zero lash. OOps, just reread, comp # don't point to this! But it would'nt hurt to check .
  9. Also make sure nubs on outside of flywheel for pickup coil are clean, no rust etc.
  10. Word of advice, measure the length of the spring before you cut it, cut small amount off(one -two coils) then stretch spring out to previous length so that slides will close. Go a little at a time. Be sure to take equal amount from both coils! Or you could get a throttle extender.
  11. OK, I'll call you out. This is either B.S. or ASSININE STUPIDITY!!!!!!! you tell me!!
  12. Still new to Banshees LOL, but not two strokes. Just trying to identify what custom wazoo parts are in this thing. The little I've learned in the last couple months I thought spacer plates went under cyls. or have cool head with stroker domes. So how does this set-up affect port timing? Seems it would be way late. I don't know cause I didn't look at things close as I was tearing it down to get the mud out of the crank and crankcase. I do have it all cleaned up and am in the process of reassembly. All new seals, gaskets, and rings. Bore/piston clearance was near wear limits, it'l get bored next time. All stock except HR crank(stroker?), two stage reeds, K&N. No pipes (yet) (WTF?)
  13. Most of the bottom of the slide is flat(sort of), part of it comes up at an angle so that slide is about 1/4 shorter. That is called the "cut away", it faces the aircleaner. Hope this helps.
  14. Hopefully this was after you broke it in? Did you retork head?
  15. Did you put slides in correct carb? Are they in correct, cut away facing air cleaner(angled side)? Did you use to much oil on air cleaner, causing over rich condition?
  16. Only one answer so far? Hope everyone had a safe weekend. Least I'll be back towards the top lol!
  17. What is the reason for needing a piston?
  18. Not being a smart ass but I know there metric 'cept don't have anything to measure it with. Just eyeballed it. More imput welcome!! Btw I'm new to Banshees.
  19. Ok, in the process of cleaning mud out of son's shee, (Mud Hole Flip WTF). Any way started cleaning head and noticed head gasket is WAY thick,3/16. Both pistons were half way down when I opened it up. It does have Hot Rods crank, marked H.R.204, rod marked C.K.158, Weisco 795 pistons. Does anybody have an idea WTF I have?? Is this some kind of long rod stroker? Havent pealed gasket off head yet, was installed with grey Yammabond type stuff. Would it be safe to re-use this head gasket or where do I find a new one? Thanks for your help.
  20. Give bore a visual while head off. Check piston rock w/piston half way down.
  21. Started thread ten days ago on same subject, didn't get any good answers. I tried aluna jelly before on something else, didn't work. My friend sugessted cleaner for unpollished aluminum rims. I'm going to try Meguir's Hot Rims soon as can get some.
  22. I want to know what toy could be better than a banshee? They're thrilling, agravating, and expensive!!! Maybe a Porsche or Vette. More expensive, thrilling, agravating. Please let us know what this toy is!!
  23. This thread is so f-in funny!!!!! Funnier than a Michael Jackass joke. Better yet, hit the top of the hill flat out, then you can hit 100 and jump a 100ft at the same time. Speaking of MJ, he's got so much plastic they're going to melt him down and make Leggos out of him, so little boys can play with him for a change!! Also only a time slip or verified rader run will convince anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Welcome to BHQ! Pretty new to banshees myself. Put the front end up on something solid and start wiggling stuff to find whats loose. If its ball joints, you really need to fix it before you ride, joint failure at speed will not be pretty!! Also as for the tires if the fornt of the tires are closer than the back of the tires (toe in) thats normal if it's not excessive. If top to bottom excessive something is either worn bad or bent. Good luck with your project!!
