Even better is let her lead 50% of the time, especially if it's dusty !! -

Well in context of this thread as to extending the swingarm , how the fuck else would you do it? FFS. Over lap and raise or lower the ass end? -
Get crank welded, NOT AN OPTION !! That is after inspection. Budget include pipes, clutch?

Burnside, you can go broke saving money. Extend your swingarm, weigh it when done. Compare to same length cro-mo. -

O, you mean like work hardening, stress fractures, or just wore the fuck out? Might be why they use normalizing, heat treat, and other such processes. -

Explain your reasoning. A gusset is a simple piece ground to fit. Don't try to tell us your boss said extending swingarm is good idea. In addition to extra/unneeded unsprung weight, the new joints at point of highest stress/forces. Holding swing arm true for welding is same whether new or extended. BUT, by the time you add sleeves/Fitch plates, you've got a nice boat anchor. Unsprung weight kills this idea. -
Breaking up at high rpm, acting like it's rich no matter how much you lean it out.

I have to laugh at your swingarm idea. Ten seconds with your boss and you'd have the answer to that. You have equipment and ability to do cro-mo? -

I would suggest retest. Make sure right slide opens all the way. Throttle WFO, kick until gàge stops moving -
Just plain FMF silencer.. Recently switched to DMC 916 and I put two in the can between tubes and end cap. IF they ( DNR ) wanted to be assholes they could, drain screen isn't as fine and you don't have Forestry stamp/sticker. JDS has kits with screens and genuine U.S.F.S. aproved stickers. I had thoughts of getting a metal stamp kit from Harbor freight and stamping the can with U.S.F.S. bs with stock silencer numbers.

Bowl for left/choke carb has a little "BB" on bottom front of bowl. How are reeds? Sit tight? No frays, chips, cracks ? What size pilots? Any porting?
-
May have damaged O ring on installation . Is that the same seal and pump shaft from before?

My son used SS dràin screens in his FMFs at SLake last year no problems. His bud with a 400ex had to buy an arrester at the store right there, $30-40 , fell apart within half hour, but was already in, so didn't matter.

Might want to be a little more specific.

Might not be a bad idea to do a leakdown test for peace of mind. Occasionally overrich jetting is used to mask/compensate for an air leak. -

This /\/\ makes it sound like it may be rich. Only two ways to tell. Plug chop/read or experience. Well, there is luck ....... -
Do you have stock carbs like those pictures?
-
Carbs clean? You can see light through main and pilot jet? Blow air through all passages? Correct bowl on left carb ? Notice e red arrow pointing to the "BB" on left carb bowl?
-
No, look at pic. Hose is opposite choke on left carb. Fuel hose is more towards the back.

The head gasket has a ridge that gets flattened when torqued. Second time used, no ridge. That's also why it's marked "UP".
