  1. check you wires that come from stator where the connect at , might have bumped them loose. Make sure they're clean and add dielectric grease. check grounds are clean and tite, add grease. check switches on?
  2. That makes sense, thanks
  3. Using a banshee flywheel puller pull it off and check the key and stator mounting plate. What do plugs look like?
  4. If you don't know which way to go, how do know you need to change?
  5. What do you mean by "crack web"
  6. Make sure timing lugs on flywheel are clean and set pick-up gap
  7. Make sure the shop you're going to use knows 2 strokes. World of difference between 2 and 4s
  8. http://www.jdscustoms.com/ Check JD's site, dunno
  9. Switch plug wires from one cyl to other, see if problem follows. If it does you have bad wire or cap.
  10. And what do you do if runout is off, and it's a welded crank
  11. Let us know if it's just a crank, .......... or more
  12. If nothing else contact Shearer and ask them what timing works best with their pipe. Throw a degree wheel on it and find out where you need to be.
  13. It's the cost of labor that kills it. That's why its cheaper to but a new crank rather than rebuild.

    Joke

Thanks, I needed this after tearing apart a motor with a smoked rod
  15. Be careful, Paulie's Blaster might beat your 'shee. Not very stock tho
  16. Wish they had a chart or something to calculate this. All I know it would be size and length of given wire
  17. Now it's sounding like an air leak
  18. to high of float level, maybe. Check that you have same jets in both carbs, same air screw and needle settings
  19. Have you tried adjusting air screw or have you synced the carbs?
  20. I take it that you have never owned a two stroke. Sounds perfectly normal to me. Make sure both air screws are the same. Is there any hesitation when you stab the throttle rolling along? To be on the safe side clean both carbs one at a time as some parts are different. What do your plugs look like? I would highly suggest ditching the boost bottle as it will crack the intake boots causing major engine damage. I was lucky to catch my son's in time, they were starting to crack.
  21. What kind of pipes you running? How's it been running? 380 seems awful rich for your elevation.
  22. Shit can't be that far off if you got 30 hours on a set of plugs
  23. Try swapping plug wires side to side to eliminate bad wire or plug cap. On my son's I cleaned stator poles, inside of flywheel and timing lugs on outside of flywheel then set pick-up gap to cure one sided miss.
  24. Don't waste money on BB, does nothing but crack intake boots. Luckily caught my son's before failure. Agree on the manual, makes working on it so much easier. Check that trans fluid looks fresh, lube the cables and rip it. Welcome to BHQ !! Where you located ?
  25. Think I fucked her up
