  1. Klotz Super Techniplate smells like cotton candy. And Klotz R-50 has a really sweet smell too. I run the R-50 in mine and won't run anything else.
  2. Just pulled the pilot out of the left carb and couldn't see any light through it. I cleaned it out so now I can see light. I'm hoping that was the problem
  3. That is my next step. I need to get my compressor and make sure nothing is clogged. I'm thinking maybe thats exactly what I did, was probably push some sand in the pilot or something. I'm really hoping its something stupid like that.
  4. X2 with Matt. The YFZ450 front calipers will bolt right up to your banshee. They are duel piston opposed to the banshee single piston calipers. Check ebay there are tons for cheap on there.
  5. Okay guys I'm having an issue that is driving me crazy. I've been on the phone on and off all today with Brandon and Shay from Wildcard Racing trying to figure this out. I'm running stock carbs on my duner and the other day I took them off and cleaned them. Threw them back on and the left cylinder is barley running. After going through everything Brandon was thinking its maybe a pilot circuit problem. Maybe a clogged pilot jet? When I pull the choke half way out the bike runs normal like it should. But when I push the choke back in, the right cylinder runs normal and the left is barley running. I don't know what to think the fact that it runs better with it at half choke than not. Before taking these off and cleaning them the jetting was setup perfect for this motor. I haven't checked for a clogged pilot jet yet. But I'm willing to take ANY SUGGESTIONS at this point? Thanks!
  6. Good idea. Let an expert check it, then go from there.
  7. A guy that rides in our group runs a really close built motor to me, except he is running some big massive single carb. I still run stock carbs.....well I'm atleast 3-4 bike lengths on him everytime. Thats enough for me to stick with two. But everyone has there own opinion of what runs best and what parts are the best.
  8. Welcome to BHQ! If its bored .40 over you'll be just fine. Cylinders will be okay up to .80 over. Call Wildcard Racing and send them your cylinders, they will take care of you.
  9. Thats worth 2500 to 3000 here if hes lucky.
  10. WOW ^
  11. Called and left a voice mail.
  12. Selling some 34mm Mikuni Flatslides. I have everything needed to make these work. I bought these carbs from Josh Z and just decided to go a different route on this motor build, so I no longer need these. They are in good shape and will be a great upgrade from a smaller carb. Comes with Carbs, UPP Intakes, K&N Filters with Outerwears. (brand new black outerwears) Looking to get $290 OBO for the complete set up. MAKE OFFER!
  13. I agree with Matt, JL Engineering does do awesome work. I personally prefer and run a Stellar swingarm and couldn't be happier. http://www.stellarmachineandperformance.com/ Either way they are both site sponsors here and both do great work. I'm not sure if JL offers a round tube swingarm design, but Stellar does and I love the way they look. All personal preference though.
  14. Same, 3-5psi. Just depends on how the sand is.
  15. 32:1 or 40:1 Had great luck with either
  16. Could be a number of different reasons..... Lean jetting Air leak Deto I'm sure the water pump gear problem didn't help it. I personally run the Mull billet gear, I've seen the stock plastic ones break into pieces or even start melting. Here's a link to the Mull gear: http://www.mullengineering.com/sc/store.php/products/yamaha-banshee-billet-water-pump-drive-gear-impeller-drag-race-sand-trail-power-online Hit up a site sponsor on here for your new parts, anyone will take care of you.
  17. Run them until the wife okay's you to buy new ones. They look in pretty decent shape. Check out the Voltric plastics, they look pretty sweet IMO.
  18. X2...Don't buy a kit on egay. Call a site sponsor on here, you can't go wrong with any of them either way. Wildcard Racing, FAST, HJR, Redline, M&M...etc. I had Wildcard Racing build my bike and I couldn't be happier, Brandon and Shay are top notch people. You have my word you won't be disappointed.
  19. Yeah you could probably find this answer covered like ALOT here. 250:1 sounds great to me.....Or just don't even run oil On a serious note, I personally run KLOTZ R-50 at 40:1. Dont have experience with amsoil though.....
