  1. I would have to agree with volfan on this one. Give Jeff @FAST a call he does excellent work very clean. 785-364-5325
  2. Nice trade IMO. Good luck with it
  3. I kinda agree with Nyuk on this one , but not because of resale so much. I look at it like if you was going out to buy your first quad and you bought a blaster instead of a banshee. The blaster is ok and will do the job but its not a banshee, like a sporty is ok and will serve the purpose but it aint on Softtail or in my case a Roadking. Do yourself a favor and hold out for something nice and you'll probably never want to sell it believe me, because I dont see me ever selling my Roadking. But good luck with the sale.
  4. Hell yea it was modded didnt you see that custom front end and handle bars. That thing was just that fast that he shit himself. Or maybe he shit himself when he saw that footpeg heading for the side of his face. What a DUMBASS. I cant believe that them dudes dont wear helmets while riding like that. Its all in fun until someone take a bump on the head and becomes a fucking retard.
  5. Bro its your ride and its whatever you want to do, But I'll just say that unless your willing to take care of your shit the right way. Its only ever going to be shit, you got yourself a nice bike and you should do your best to take care of it and it will take care of you. It would be 8 nuts and a base gasket come on elka dont half ass it you will only regret it later IMO.
  6. I used anti seize with all nylok nuts and blu loctite on everything else without no problems or broken bolts
  7. I live in Maryland just below Baltimore and its like an 8 hr drive from me to you. Now what I'm wondering is would you be willing to split the drive with me and meet me half way? If so I would like to talk about this.
  8. In your case it would be a leaving the scene not hit and run, you did return right after it happened. It would of been a hit and run if you would not of went back which is as Matt said a felony. But the fact that you admitted to being the one that did it and there is damage you will be found guilty if you go in there and try to fight it. Your best bet would be to either just pay it or go to court with an attorney and plead guilty and as long as your record is clean and pay the dude off the judge is most likely going to give you a PBJ. Unless you go in there and act like an ass or piss the judge off.
  9. Unless you completely disassemble the top end I dont think I would try that on the bike. I wouldnt want that shit getting between the piston and the cylinder it will sit on the ring and could scratch the shit out of your cylinder. It will probably fall in your water jackets and could clog a core in your radiator. But if you must do it I would say do it with a wire brush and a shopvac. Just be easy with the brush and make sure the shop vac is on at all times so you are sucking up everything as it comes off. If it was me I would just take off the cylinders pull off the pistons and clean everything up. Just take your time and remember that when doing engine work always make sure bike and work area is always clean, sand and bearings dont get along at all. Good luck Bro and let us know everything turn out
  10. Personally I think that still sounds too lean I would go with at least a 340 to a 350 and do a plug chop. I was running 340s before I was ported, but I am at sealevel. Thats why i would say 340 to 350. And your pilot should 27.5 on all aftermarket pipes
  11. I caught a 100 pound stingray last night surf fishing Yeaha

  12. Just get something with a round house as said before and you'll be golden. I bought an Alba chromoly +4 with a round house and it was on of the best thing that I've done to my shee.
  13. That head is made by Modquad there is quite a few people on the site thats running them and alf44 sells them. I run the old hemi head which is a 2 piece made by chariot. But yes one should be on top of dome where it goes through top of head at. A little tip for the big orings is to lightly coat them with vasoline and this helps them to stay in place during installation. And remember to retorque head after first heat cycle or it will leak.
  14. Yup definitely sounds like bad gas.
  15. First off octane doesnt have nothing to do with being lean or not. Before you do your breakin post up a list of your mods so we can give you a close jetting size. Do you know what jets are in the carbs right now? This is very important info before you decide to breakin. If you shit is running lean the only thing that your going to breakin is your wallet. Race gas or high octane fuel is only needed when running high compression motors or highly advanced timing to help to stop detonation. If you dont have enough compression or timing to require race gas the only your doing is wasting about $5 a gallon on something that is not needed. Does this thing have the stock head or cool head, aftermarket pipes, what kinda air filter, is the lid on the airbox or maybe no airbox. there is some of the info we would need to get you going in the right direction. But anyways good luck and let us know whats up.
  16. Unless you cant ride worth a shit or you spin the whole way you should own him. Just dont get worried because on the start he will most likely jump out in front of you. A properly tuned and setup 240 blasty really aint no joke. But you should be able to run right around him and be gone.
  17. Let me start by saying bravo you did the right thing. It was totally your fault and you manned up, more people should do the same thing. As far as everyone that said you should have never went back just remember karma is a bitch. I'm sure that you gained some respect from the owner of the truck. How would you of felt if it was your shit and someone hit and rolled out like that. The only reason that 5.0 even gave you a ticket is so you couldnt at a later time say it wasn't me thats all, now the owner of the truck has proof a police report was probably filed. I would at least go to court and plead for a reduction on fines explain to the judge that you was scared and as soon as you got home you went right back and admitted everything, and if you get the man paid off before hand and he'll write a letter saying that the judge will most likely give you a PBJ instead of slamming you with everything that he possibly could. And again is nice to know that some people have a little guilt for what they do. You did the right thing just remember that.
  18. I personally dont know , but MattSCESC on here has done a number of them for people on here. He's a real good dude and I'm sure he'll hook you up try to PM him
  19. Welcome to the BHQ, get prepared to be broke as a fucking joke.
  20. I agree with larry on just using a thumb and finger, with the length of the torque wrench its not going to feel like you've tightened them enough but just trust the torque wrench for it knows more then you. Good luck Bro you should be fine. As larry said you do have a clymers right?
  21. As long as the orings are not tore or broken you should be fine.Thats one of the advantages of a cool head, you dont need a new gasket every time you remove the head.
  22. Always reset torque wrench to lowest setting when not in use. It will mess it up if you leave it cranked up.
  23. nm I believe means newton meters. Is that torque wrench for inlbs or ftlbs there is a difference. Also just to let you know next time your shopping for a torque wrench, thats one tool that you dont buy the cheapest one out there. Torque wrenches are very precise tools you should buy a good one and dont beat it around or use it as a ratchet or breaker bar. It looks like that thing is for inlbs. so if I'm not mistaken you take 20 and times it by 12 which would be 240 inlbs I believe which should equal 20 ftlbs.
  24. Pull the head, swap domes, take vasoline and lightly coat orings to hold them in place. Put everything back together torque all bolts to 20lbs make sure that you torque them in the proper order. After everything is back together and torqued run the bike through a heat cycle and then retorque to 22lbs and you should be golden.
  25. Yes it is I've seen him for the last three years. He still aint quite big enough yet, but when the time comes I'm gonna have a real hard time doing it. The only other people that I know that knows he's alive is the land owner, his wife and daughter besides myself, that know where I hunt anyway.
