  1. You never answered the part about the throttle wires being jumped?????
  2. You can weld it up and send it to a chrome shop but it will cost you a fortune and most shops hate working with pipes that have already been ran. You can always have it ceramic coated.
  3. Did you jump the plug in that was plugged into the throttle switch??? If you did that is your problem. I have ran into this several time. Do not jump that plug in just unplug it!
  4. You say the TORS are taken off but is the box and all the wiring that goes with it unhooked also?
  5. I have done several of these same setups here in the last few weeks. One thing I have found is the last two bikes I jetted with FMF pipes wanted a larger pilot than most the pipes I have used. You main will end up right around a 270 but like tricked said start at a 290 and adjust down from there. You will end up with a 27.5 or a 30 pilot but I am guessing it will like the 30 pilot a little better.

  7. Wow I post this morning and come back this afternoon and this thing is out of control! So I have 4 motors sitting in my shop that are all 4 mill stock cylinder ported motors. I have had everyone of them on the dyno. They all have 795 pistons in them and have a cool head with custom cut domes. So are you telling me that one of the top motor builders in the country who takes his shit all over the place and has no issue putting his shit up against anyone elses shit out there has told me to put the wrong pistons in these motors? I have had these all on the dyno and I know the numbers they make and I know how they preform on the sand. Please tell me what kind of numbers you are making with your piece of shit stock head motors you are building?????
  8. HMMMM So you are saying all the 4mill long rod motors out there should pull the 795 pistons out because they are wrong? Shit I have a lot of motors to take back apart!

  12. Ya John I was looking at inter coolers and have talked to a few guys about them and most of them tell me unless I am going crazy with the motor it is not really needed. I tend to agree with you I think it is a good idea. My trailer is not that heavy and I am not going to go crazy with the motor but I still think it would help. Who did your custom tunes for you?

I have a auto but it has the billet converter and a shift kit in it so the trans is fine and I have been a diesel mechanic my whole life so I am smart enough not to burn my tans up trying to go up a big hill. Trailer is 36' and dry weight is right at 8,000 Cruising speed around here just heading to the dunes is 70 to 75

  15. I am installing a new turbo down pipe and I already and running straight exhaust on the pickup. The Edge CS programmer has the digital display that will show all the gauges you need including EGT. Green I know you had issues with yours I ran the Edge on both my dodge's for years with no issues at all Keep in mind if you guys keep refering to your 99 and up 7.3 and the mileage and power that is not the same setup as a 97 7.3. Totally different fuel system that motor in intercooled also.
  16. Use a gear calculator and see what it says. It has 4.10 gears in it right now and with tires this much taller than stock the damn pickup would do 130 mph if it had enough power.
  17. With 35" tires on it if you do the math 4.88 gears would put it back to right about stock. It sucks fuel like crazy right now but if you get it up to around 75 or so the fuel economy gets better. Dave shut it hooker!
  18. I have a 1997 F-350 Crew cab 7.3 diesel with 4" lift and 35" tires. It is bone stock and I am getting ready to start pulling a fifth wheel trailer with it. My plans are to put 4.88 gears in it an S&B Cold air intake the Edge CS Programmer and a turbo back exhaust. Should run pretty good after that just curious if anyone out there has a similar pickup and if you do what have you done to it for towing?

  20. No that combo will not hurt any thing. You can swap silencers around with different pipes it is fine.

Most the people on there you email them and say hey just trying to help so you dont get a paypal claim but your add is way wrong this is what you really have they proceed to tell you to go f yourself and you have no idea what you are talking about and just sell it the way they have it posted. He may be a dip stick but he did get his HP numbers much closer to reality.
  22. These tires are on a bike that is at my house right now. They are 22" 12 paddle Extreme Haulers on 8" wheels. I can't say how many rides they have on them but they appear to be in like new condition. I can take some pictures when I get home tonight and post them for Vitalik if anyone would like to see them.
