That's cool sheebroke, I know your Banshee gave you some trouble but as long as you're still ridin' that's all that matters. And if I ever had to get a thumper it would hafta be a YFZ, have fun on it.
-
Stan, yours and Fixitrod's Banshees were the first I've seen up close with cut rears, and I gotta admit it looks great. Well, it looks great when it's sitting still, while in motion it looks like a pair of sand canons.

My '96 had 110 on each side when I got it, at 3500'. Now with 0.030" shaved off the head I have 130, still at 3500' and stock porting.

I run a Dyna and love it, I would recommend it. Haven't used an MSD so can't comment on them.

Kermit dunes are roughly 5 miles by 7 miles, so approx 35 square miles of sand. It's a pretty large area for this part of the country, from what I hear it's a larger area than Little Sahara, OK but the hills aren't as big. I would think LS would be closer for you but Kermit would still be worth checking out I think; it's a 3 hour drive for me but would be closer to 6 hours for you I think. The dunes are about 5 miles Northeast of Kermit on highway 115, going towards Andrews, TX. Roughly between Midland/Odessa and El Paso. There's no regulations or fees there (helmet and flag would be wise), there is a small paved parking area (mebbe 2 acres) and 4 covered picnic tables. No water or porta-potties. Big weekends can get crowded but there's so much room to ride once you get away from the parking area you rarely see others. Two highways border the dunes, and a trail runs around the other two sides so if you get lost you can always pick a direction and eventually hit the perimeter trail. If you head that way let me know, I'm due for a trip, might be able to make it...

I thought we were going with the pic on front with "Coalfest 2004" and then "BansheeHQ.com" across the shoulders in an old english font, like this except short sleeves:

For sure put me down for one XL, just need to know where/how you want the $$; Paypal or money order...

Dude, theeechozen1 you KNOW you'd be sportin' the TRX70... Life without Banshee would suck. I'd either still be trying to keep that old '86 TRX250R alive or pimpin' the TRX300 4x4 (I can see the chrome racks now)...

Nah, I was thinking of Bruce Willis in "Tears of the Sun", wish I could remember the whole line...

Happy birthday Mullet!!

Soldier? Or was that one "60 minutes to run 60 miles". tabshee I almost said "Short Circuit" but don't think that movie was that old... Here's a good one: "Cowboy the f*ck up"

I got pieces, think I can cram it in a FedEx tube? Hell, any company that does lining should be more than happy to unload small pieces like that, there's always some left over and some odd shapes from doing corners...

Predator. Here's one of the funniest I think: "I'm a loner Dottie...a rebel"

I'm sure it is Holyman, we're lining dairy lagoons with it (3-10 acres). 40 mil HDPE from Agru America, I just loaded 6 rolls on a lowboy...they come 22' wide and like 300' long, how many you want?

I think my official job description is "parts manager" for a small (under 40 employees) heavy construction company. But as with most small companies I do a little of everything; locate, order, ship & receive parts, install & maintain LAN and do everything with the PC's (i.e. look at porn), locate & estimate bids, load & unload truckloads of pipe, HDPE liner material, and pallets (drive forklift around the yard and run over stuff), and in general "look busy".

People Magazine Slandering Atv Use. Must Read
BenBB replied to sredish's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Albert Einstein said something like this: "Two things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity." Thanks for posting that sredish and boonman, I'm all over it. -
Sounds great boonman, and nice job b370. You're way better off than with a Dell...

You talk to Stan yet? Thought he had 'em...

It took me two days to read this thread. My head hurts. Holyman don't forget we got velcro outta the space program. For the most part I believe space exploration has good intentions; sooner or later overpopulation will get the better of us and we're gonna hafta get off this rock. Politics may be a necessary evil, but all to often seem to lead to the downfall of a civilization. When "right" and "wrong" can easily be distorted and lost in a sea of red tape, it ceases to matter. I'd rather not waste my time even attempting to make sense of it; perhaps I'm a simpleton but I do think we all have our place in society and must strive to do our best with what we have to work with. Oh yeah, almost forgot, to the original post question: I support President Bush because he is our current commander in cheif. I trust he will do the right thing for our country, and I may or may not be satisifed with the end result, but I understand that I will probably never know 1/1000 of what he has to deal with. Do I think ANY politician should be running the show? HELL NO. Am I better qualified? Not even. You cast your vote and hope for the best...

TAKE SOME PICS!! Sounds like a great track, wish I was going but hope somebody's got a camera...

Try some TM Powerlip rollers. I just got a set (was already running their swingarm slider on the front) and they are the shit. Instead of a single sealed roller bearing they use two. Whenever I have my quad lowered for TT the upper roller would shell out; the stock rollers only have a single bearing on the inside (bolt head side), and when chain tension exerts force on the roller, it "cocks" in the roller bore and quickly eats the bearing, or wallows out the outside of the roller against the mounting bolt. My new TM rollers are much smoother too, I'll be getting a rear roller guide from them soon. Good luck.

I agree with spoin39, a spring alone may not be the best solution. You could have Works rebuild/revalve your rear shock for under $200 I think (they call it a "heart transplant" on their web page). But you may also need a different spring though, depending on the application. BTW the stock rear Ohlins is a pretty good shock I think, unless you are having problems with it and can't get it dialed in (like if you are very heavy or the shock is blown), you may not benefit from upgrading it...

Still Have Problems With My Dynatech Box
BenBB replied to superchicken's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Right on superchicken, good to hear you got her going. As you are probably aware, the compression reading won't be an accurate reflection of your actual compression ratio, which is what dictates the need for higher octane fuel (or less timing advance) to combat detonation. 145 on stock porting should be no problem with the preprogrammed curves, but if it's ported be careful. Experiment with different curves and see what works best with your pipe/motor combination. Now if I could just get bradrs to make me a CDI box for my RZ... -
Here's to ya Moose, get some.
