ya i understand man we all do that

on a snowmobile ya , it is different that dosent have a crankcase like a banshee, so everything is lubercated by the mix of the gas/oil, so if you think about that, it would mean that you had a lean condition because of the extra air entering, aka unmetered air, which causes a lean condition, which is not enough fuel/oil mixture for the amount of air that its burning, this will cause everything to run hotter than it should with the banshee having a crankcase that is lubercated with gear oil, and the crank which is sealed off from the crankcase it lubercated by the oil/gas mixed, now if this was leaking from a crank seal then you would be right, but since this is from the counter sproket shaft you are wrong

that one of the stupidest things i have ever heard why would it cause heat, there is a crank case vent in the case from the factory, if anything it would make the crankcase run cooler

they sell compression guages at the autoparts stores, go buy one and crank the engine over, keep kicking it until it is at its highest point, let us know what you get if its below 120 that may be your problem
-
ok so you need to get it to the top dead center mark and the piston needs to be at the top, take the plug out put something in the spark plug hole like a straw, and there should be a plug in the side of the case that you can take out, take that out put a socket on it, then turn it until the straw gets to the highest point that is top dead center, if you need to adjust valves do it while it is a tdc, rocker arm will be at the lowest point of the camshaft, because this is your compression stroke, tdc is always set on the compression stroke, then after you have everything set put your socket back on the that nut on the crank and slowly crank it by hand, this will let you see if the valves will hit the piston, i hope this helps if i was there i could have it done in like 5 min, these four stroke quads are so dam easy

whats wrong with the spacers? it doesnt make sense to do the spacers, doesnt that defeat the purpose of doing the longer rod? trinity was the place that ported them, but it was like 4 years ago, i heard that they are kinda shitty now, so all i need to do is find out if they can open the port window to match the 4mm stroker piston's window right?
-
do a compression check, you probably have not compression in the right cylinder
-
Need to move on but to what?
travis6767 replied to SpecialEd 05's topic in General Banshee Discussion
if the banshee has been good than just stick with it put some money in it , or do what you need to get it back to its full potential and the shit out of it for another 4 years -
check the reeds, make sure all the reed petals are there
-
your just looking for the bolts that hold them to the frame?
-
ok right now i have stock stroke cylinders with mx port and polish, and if i was going to put a 4mm stroker crank in what all would i have to do, i would like to keep these cylinders because they are one of the cleanest port jobs i have seen, can someone let me know every part i would need to do this? thanks

one of my friends has a 300ex, the frame is silver vein and the a arms, swing arm and steering stem is white and i think it looks bad ass
-
looks like you got a nice banshee, but when you have time when its daylight you should post some more pics, and whats your elevation and whats the main jet size? and dont cut those tors wires yet, just simply unplug them there is a plug for it, and if thats your problem then you may want to buy the aftermarket carb caps that will get rid off those ugly things on the top of the carbs so you ended up paying $3700

BANSHEE problem, what jet is wrong?
travis6767 replied to blaster2006's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
you can mix it 40:1 if you use good oil, yamalube at 32:1, thats not bad for an 06, did you buy the pipes and reeds? make sure you check the carbs and see if they are sync, to unplug the tors just unplug the little black box that is located under the tank by the coil, i would suggest you clean the carbs also, since you said that it has been sitting for the last couple months that may be part of the problem with it shutting off on you -
BANSHEE problem, what jet is wrong?
travis6767 replied to blaster2006's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
you do you think it will be hard to install the timing plate, and what year is this thing, that seems like alot for what your getting, the after market parts should be included in the $3500 price then that would be a good deal -
could be trans cooler, or engine oil cooler as well
-
get bassani, they are the best exhaust for a ford, make sure you get ceramic coated headers even if you dont get bassani
-
hey man what UTI are you going to? i am currently going to the one in ILL, although i only have 8 weeks left
