  1. how much for the frames? pics? im in NW PA.
  2. it depends on what you ride. another banshee is going to be hard to set up right for under 4,000. and if you do, suspension and a larger fuel tank should be first on the list. YOu could probably find an older YFZ 450 in that range or maybe a Z. If you ride alot of rough terrain the Outlaw is going to be one of the most forgiving rides out with the independent rear suspension. Its got like 10 inhes of ground clearence in the rear and as long as you dont go BIG on the jumps, you cant land wrong on one of those. You will probably need to spend a little more for one though cause they have only been out for a few years. I doubt you can find a Raptor 700 in that range, but you might be able to find a 660r. As far as beating them...If you are talking about a drag race thenyou are going to need a 700. If you are talking on the trails...beat 'em on the bends. On a side note, my Banshee is my everything quad. But for this winter I will be upgrading the suspension, getting a 5.5 Clarke tank, and a steering stabilizer to make it better for the trails.
  3. Really liked this design. Keeps it up off the pipes. PRM RACK
  4. I would go for the 250R. Finding one for sale is not that common now a days and you can always find another banshee down the road. Anyone I know that has a 250R is not willing to part with it.
  5. did you check for spark on the right side? it could still run on one cylinder and could cause your lag. I had a friend who rode for about 15 min before he really noticed (till he tried climing a hill and had no power to get up it). His plug cap had seperated from the wire (from him yanking on them).
  6. i wouldnt think that would cause it not to run. How far did you adjust the timing? What octane are you using?
  7. how do you shift through the gears? do you pull clutch, let off the throttle, shift, then pin it? if so leave throttle at about half when you shift. should get ya goin thruogh the gears quicker. mine is mostly stock and after my last ride the 4 strokes I ride with wont even race me anymore.
  8. says on thier site it has been canelled
  9. i have the ones you have pictured and they work very well. they screw in on both sides to expand the orings(one on each side). no leaks and the pipes havent blown apart.
  10. ya, think I may drop it to 40:1 to be safe. I think I was miss lead by the bottle and other advice. However, I have seen a dirtbike that ran the same oil at 100:1(yes 100:1) for years. I hope I will not need to rejet again. If so anyone know where I an get Kiehin jets like RIGHT NOW?
  11. thanks guys alot of good advise there. I run the Amsoil at 60:1 because at 50:1 (what the bottle recomends) I was getting wet/black plugs. Since then I have rejetted at the same mix 60:1 and it runs really good. I think I will try the 93 on the next tank. I am going to the Rumble On The Ridge next weekend and wanted to check this out before I went. So if I bump the timing +4 will the 93 still be OK?
  12. well as far as mods go, I still run the stock head, no porting, and I havent bumped the timing yet(but was thinking about it). I run Amsoil Dominator at about 60:1 and dont plan on changing. I know if you increase the compression then you would need a higher octane so would running 93 help the bike start/run better?
  13. well I have notied that every mention of "pump gas" refers to 93 octane. I run 89 and was wondering if I may be missing out on some performance/running advantages. I mean the bike runs really good now that I got it jetted. If I do switch will the jetting be effected?
  14. probably where he is getting the moisture from hmm mabye I will make one hell I think I even have a few valve stems laying around :geek:
  15. that is exactlly what it is, even says so in his write-up. dont think I will be buying one of these especially seeing as though I could definatlly make one of them myself if it did work. kinda like the custom one though
  16. less than two weeks left. I read an article that said there was over 4,000 people there back in April.
  17. i have a dirt digger. I like it. Your gonna have alot of choices though. Just dont cheap out. You get what you pay for. On another note alot of guys on here recommend the F.A.S.T. setup.
  18. spray a rag with wd-40 and wipe them down. taking in in your house was your best bet. I did the same thing. Left it out in the garage just overnight, it didnt even rain or anything.
  19. if you dont have an impact or a friend, leave just the plates in there, (take the fibers out) clamp them together with a set of needle nose clamp pliers, then you have a big tool to use for leverage. works like a charm
  20. check these out i have these on mine. they bolt right on your old pegs and the added lip is nice. you aint going anywhere with them. oh dont wear your sneakers they will rip them to shreads
  21. What an ignorant prick. the guy has been a member for nearly a year before you a has two posts. What do you think he has been doing? HHMMM probably using the search feature. Hell I was all over this site for almost two years before I even signed up, just learning, so I didnt have some bag of ass like you shoot your mouth off. On top of that he said he had read alot of posts and he made a valid point. This would not be a FOURUM if people were supposed to come on here and just read. FUCKING NEWB
  22. thats cool, if I was closer I would go
  23. yeah ive done the one piston deal before also. And I even ate a rod bearing in the process. been riding on it all year. im sure that side will go completely before the other but so far it runs good.
  24. hey whats up I live in Meadville. Anyhow you could set up a 450 front end cheap. I got my brother working on some spacers to make them work. If I remember right they add about +2+1. I think they will be just fine for 95% of the trails I ride.
