  1. I agree with Matt on this. Save up and get some better end shocks. They will be worth it in the long run. I have had Works and didnt like them from day one. Tried many of times to get them to revavle them the right way and they couldnt get it right. Went with Elka and has been right sense day 1. I have two bikes with the elka pogo's and they work just great. I have two other bikes with the elka dune series shocks and they are cream of the crop for dunes. Dont let friends ride your bike because they will not want to get off! As Matt said above. If your an aggressive rider. I would look at getting shocks with Rez's for the added cooling effect. My Work Pro series shocks would fad after 30 mins of riding. Get off and the shocks got HOT. I can ride very aggressive with my elks and get off and they are still cold after the ride. But dont get me wrong. You if you can find a great deal on some works that are not the Pogo's and have compression adj and/or rebound. I would jump on them. Then ride them and see what you like and dont like. PM Matt and talk to him about getting them revavled/sprung for your riding and you will never look back. Well you will and say why the HELL did it take me so long to have done this!!!
  2. If you have the pipes there is nothing wrong with trying them. Then just Jet and see which one you like better. If not then I would try to find someone that will let you use them. Or just call the builder and get their side.
  3. The only thing I wanted to really show him was the seal head. Polk...Just sent it to Matt and he can revalve it for your style of riding. Having shocks valved and sprung for your weight is night and day difference.

  5. Ill be out there for my 1st dunes trip the weekend before Halloween. Going to try to stay way from all the major weekends this year. Altho, the major weekends are fun and lots of people. But that equals out to be alot of cops being dicks. So just stay clear of doing dumb shit and everyone shouldnt have a prob. Oh yeah, dont forget the passes. Hefty fines when added up!

  7. 1x They never work and if you want them to work. Then you area always adj the cable. I have 6 other bikes that I just say for get it and let the bike just sit in 1st gear. Then If the bike/s start moving. Then I know there is a leak going on.
  8. I just buy the cheapest oil i can put my hands on from walmart. I run ATF-F for the past three years and after a rebuild. The trans looked like new. Clutch wear was fine after 4 years of hard duning. Put in an HD clutch and still have been going strong for 2 years.
  9. I thought the same thing. Then I got the tool and was impressed how much I was really off.
  10. Lived there for 17 years and now I just hear about these right out side my home town. What the F!
  11. Just not riding the bike will make them last longer... The stock front is trash!!! Way out of date. Was cool back in 87. But not 2010. try to find some used after market shocks and send them to Matt on here for a rebuild for your set up.
  12. Sorry for the shitty pics...All i have is my phone cam. Let me know if you need different pics of what parts.
  13. Sounds rich! Check the coolent and make sure ur not running low. If ur overflow is getting full then u might have a bad head gasket. Summer months I also drain my coolent and run a 25(coolent)75(water) mix.
  14. Ill try tomorrow to get some new pic up of the bottom end of the carbs. That is if I'm not pulling my hair out from work! My goal from adding these carbs are for dune dragging on meth and maybe some play duning now and then.
  15. He was stating that his bike can run on race gas or meth. Which ever he wants to run for that day/night
  16. I would got with a set of Elkas anyday. But the Axis I would go with over many others. They would be my next inline. Matt knows his stuff. Your best around would be to find a set of shocks that have Compression and Rebound adj on the shocks. That way you can dial your bike in for the types of dunes your riding. I have two sets of Elks Dunes on 2 bikes and never have looked back. They did some great R&R for Dune Ed shocks. They work great and now have 3 other friends that I ride with at Glamis wanting the same shocks after they have take my bike for a ride. To save some coin and putting that money to the front shocks. I would just sent your rear to Matt and have him revalve and spring it for the dunes.
  17. you might want to see if you can get the jetting from about 280-340. That way you will be ready for mostly all temps
  18. 320 and 27,5 pilots will be a great starting point. 360s are way to much fuel.
  19. Another note if your not taking the pistons out of the jug is to put some oil on the top end so that it leaks down the side of the walls and gets in the piston rings. This way you will not have a dry start up on the rings from being washed down with a cleaner.
  20. The old jingles were the best!!! http://www.viddler.com/explore/failblog/videos/703/
  21. the one in the pic is for stock stroke stock piston
  22. Damn... I wish I would have thought of this about 2 years ago. Would have saved me some time and some gas on the stock carbs. Well If your looking for something new to try then why not!
  23. I have a set of 19cc domes sitting right next to me and they are cut deeper. After the face O-ring they are slated prob at a 30deg angle im guessing.
