  1. How is the intake set up on your bike? What is the elevation?
  2. Im a BIG fan of Elka's. I have had nothing but probs with Works. But you might want to try and look around and see if you can find a set of used pair of shocks that offer Compression and Rebound adj.
  3. Why are you wanting to buy a rebuild kit from the stealer ship? There is a How 2 on there about how to fix the kick starter and the known rattle forever. All you need is the local ACE (is the place). I have still yet to go get the parts and do it. Kind of gives me something to think about while I ride and listen to the rattle.
  4. Cant go wrong with arms that are made for the bike and not a take off of another. I really dont see why people are going through all this trouble for a front end. All it takes is a little bit of time to find some A arms for the bike. I got mine brand new for under $200 shipped to my house that are made for the banshee. Seems to me like a better deal then having to deal with someone else take off that might have been tweaked front end off of another quad that was made 20 years later down the road. Just sayn. Two totally different bikes. You might as well just move the banshee motor into the yfz frame.
  5. Had that shit happen to men in the middle of the dunes. Lucky one of the rails that was with us had some Penetrating oil. Sprayed the F out of it and about 3 mins and a good kick. The thing came loose.

  7. Got some needles coming for GAS. Needles are 4-2 Now just waiting to have them come to the house and soon will be trying my luck on Lectons
  8. List: Mods, Elevation and Temp. If you just have after market pipes then you should really be changing the jetting. I would warm up the bike if you can and do a compression test.
  9. Its from the oil not being fully burnt off. I have the same thing happen to me all the time if im pussy foot'n my bike around. Now if im at the dunes riding the piss out of it then I dont have the prob. But your prob in need of a repack. I try to repack mine every year.
  10. Those are not going to allow any flex in the tire at all. That is one reason why I run a 8" rim. And only 4-5psi depending on sand conditions. But looks good. Might have to look into some and getting some trailer tires put on for the road.
  11. Put the lid back on if your not going to change your jets out. Just with the lid off you should be in the 240 rang
  12. I have two sets of their arms. I think I got both of them for around 400 shipped to my door. One set was for a raptor and I gave them to my dad. And the other for myself for my banshee. I love them alot. I have trailed and dunes the shit out of them. Powder coating has done well for being 3 years old. Your TCS's might get soft adding the+2 arms to them. Just ride them and see how you like them. If they are not to your liking then just get them revalved for the arms. PM Matt on here.
  13. I would to suspension before carbs. Having a better ride will let you ride longer and take harder hits.
  14. They are going to ask you for what needles you are running. And mostly to see the plugs as well. there are some write ups on here somewhere about how to read alky plugs.
  15. Still safe. But going to be load as hell. You will not gain anything from running with the silencers.
  16. Ill be out at Glamis the weekend before hand. Trying to stay way from the major holidays this year. There should be about a group of 20 or so of us. Camping around washs 10-15 depending on amount of people out there.
  17. I bet if you pull the plugs they are all dark and wet. With the lid on and your running 280mains. You re rich. This is were you need to decide if you want to run the lid or not. Or you can do both. If you want to do both then I would look at one of the dealers on here and get some jets from them. Ranging from 240-310 That will set you up for almost for live. And If your going to run without the lid then get some 27.5 pilots. But as it sits now. I would try 250 mains for a starting point.
  18. Wondering if you can take the top half of the yfz the shock and take the lower banshee shock and put them together. It will be something I will have to try here in the next two weeks.
  19. one way to see if you have an intake leak is to take some carbs cleaner. Let the bike idle and start to lightly spray around the jugs back to the carbs. If it starts to run all crazzzy, then you know you have an air leak on the intake side. Best to get it taken care of now before you have to put a new top end in.
