  1. well mostly we need to know your other mod are on the bike to help you get close to the jetting as we can help. what type of intake are you running? has the bike been ported?
  2. I have the Ebay ones and have ran them for the third dune season. my brother has had them for four and had a paddle start coming off. sent the guy and email with pics and sent a new one out free of charge...
  3. Well if you think they are ok then. The next thing would to do is a compression test. I have had a stock head gasket leak on me where it was leaking into the coolant. And in turn got worse and wouldnt run right because of lack of compression. If it none of them then switch the spark plug boots around and see if the other side will start to run.
  4. You going to need to split the cases to clean the bottom end. If not then you will in time have the crank fail. It melted for a reason!!! IE listen to people that are putting their .02 in. Im going to have to say that you had an air leak or a float stick. But best of luck.
  5. First Pull the plugs and look at them... If one is melted then you have a melted piston. If not then a Compression test in need here. If you dont have one then you can see if you have a blown head gasket. Pull the radiator cap; and with a flashlight, start the bike and look over to the return side of the radiator as much as you can and see if you can see bubbles coming out of the fluid. If so then you have a F'ed up head gasket.
  6. +2 I let all my parts sit in oil for about a day or two... Then start putting things together. Might make a little mess of things but then I know all things are coated and starting to work into the metal.
  7. You should be safe for starting at 300 and working your way around there
  8. Umm where is the Bog at in the RPM? just saying it bogs is a big area to play with...Does it bog off idle...mid range...Top end? What pilots are you running? Did you resync the carbs?
  9. 3X on feeling for the bike
  10. wait are you running just the cores with stock pipes or do you have a full exhaust on the bike?
  11. Must have been that year that the bashee was a allwheeldrive... front and rear paddles
  12. we need a list of your mod and elevation you are running
  13. no lid = more power. with lid it is like trying to run the 100yrd dash with a straw in your mouth. And yes dropping one main will make a difference. but you need to decide if you want the lid or not.
  14. Ill buy it for a $1 and the shipping he can just throw it in the bottom of the trash!!! That shit was good... I wish I had the brain power to come up with that.
  15. 330's with lid is like throwing a can of gas at the thing. You are running way to rich for having a lid on. you need to figure out if you want to run the lid or not. I would say run it with out the lid and keep breaking in the bike. But you are rich with those mains. Just drop down to 320's and see if it gets better which I will
  16. you didnt get the option with revers did you? HAHA just kidding. I had the same prob and found out to be the shift forks had some castings that would get hung up on the shift drum. So i filed down and good as new. Just my .02
  17. where you checking it on a cold or warmed up motor?
  18. Umm going to say 8.. I have ran 8 in the dunes and love them.. tried 9 and 10 on none ported and its just to much paddle. the 8 is more of the all around. I also got mine from a guy off ebay ORtires.com for like 125 shipped to my door. have ran them for three seaons with no porb at all.
  19. are you coming from stock reeds? And if not I would prob just go up one jet and then see how it runs. If it runs bad then go down a jet and then if it runs better then you know your in the ball park
  20. what kind of airbox mod is this? Like 6 1" holes or what? And what kind of FMF pipes are they? If the lid is off I would start around 290-300 and go from there. but with the lid on and 1" holes I would start around 270-280. And if the bottom end is fine with 25pilots then there is no need to go up to 27.5's I ran the 25's with pods on my bike for a year and had one hell of a hole shot. After porting I had to move up to the 27.5's with my Fattys.
  21. Noss head. Dave has helped me out alot on and given me part numbers on O-rings. All in all im still looking... But the head is Grade (A+) I was very happy with it. And the finish is great as well. I have had it for two years now and havent had any probs.
  22. 300 and maybe a 27.5 pilot. But work with the main first
  23. Yea start with the 280's mains and then screw the airscrew all the way in tell it seats. then back it out 1 1/2 turns. and the needle in the middle for your starting point
