  1. Hey does anyone Know how to set up the Vapor. The part i dont understand is the Ignition Pulses. They say 4strokes are 1 PPR but also 2Strokes are 1 PPR then it gos into Pulses per Revolution?? Does the Shee Change PPR over a certain RPM?? Any one got any idea on how to set this up?? Drew.. Its a Vapor Trail Tech Computer..
  2. Just a update. i ran out to the shed found the jet info 1987-2006 Yamaha Banshee Stage two They Supplied 2 Main jets DXP270 @ mains DXP280 These are the ones i used.. And DXP340 Im Under 5000 feet well im at sea level .... and its still stock pistons no port job.. just Reeds pipes thus far..... and on the nedles im in the middle groove or groove 3..... checked the choke tube looks ok as well..... got air screws 3 turns out. maybe too much?????? maybe go back to 1 1/2 turns????? hope this helps Drew
  3. Hey Thanks heaps, all real good points, The Jets i Got were Dyno Jet kit for stage 2 from u guys over in the States cant renember the sizes but at the time was right for pipes and reeds, the point there is that i took her out after rejeting and shee was great, the prob started only when i took off the torrs system. i did a carby clean when i was out on her for the weekend still did not fix it though. since then at home have pulled the carbys off again. blow'n them out cleaned them full on. checked my v force reeds checked boots for air leaks. im running a K&N air filter in the stock box drilled some holes in the lid, the funny thing is when i put the carbys back on i left the boots and the air cleaner off and got backfires from both pipes. but when i put it all back on im only getting backfires from one side when i give it a gut full of gas. allso the pipe is dripping oil from it where it meets the silencer. as for the black box under the tank got rid of that and also uncliped the handbrake switch. i dont need to cut it out do I ????... As for the resync of the carbs all iv done there is pull the slides up and down until I had removed the slack from the new cables just untill i can feel the slides about to move up with the adjustment screw on top of the carby tops. is this how you do it???? im not sure ??? i also changed the spark leads over to make sure it was Fuel and not spark that was giving me probs... its only at high RPM that i really notice the POP from the left side. I was thinking about getting some small washers for the new idle screws in case of a very small air leak?>? i went out just before to see if i had put the wrong slide in the wrong carb. but the 1/3 moon on the slide faces the back?yes) meaning faceing the air cleaner so with that in mind if you look at the slide theres a cutout that go's up 10mm on on side of the slide that is what the new idle screw sits on. and on the other side of the slide there is a recess all the way down the slide to allow for a brass screw or jet or somthing in the carby wall. so it has to be right i think. because the carbys are opposite.. Hmmm i think i explained that right.... I will get some new plugs tomorrow as well. But yeah not sure if iv sync carbs right that could be a prob.. what do you think. will the slides go in the wrong way Guys???? if the 1/3 moon is faceing the back>????? Really appreciate all you guys helping me. im real stuck and the weather here is just right for gettin out there.. thanks looking forward to hearing what you guys think. Thanks again Drew South Aus.....
  4. Hi I was wondering if someone can help me pls. I have a 09 Banshee, its done 20 hours, I put a K&N air filter on it Vforce reeds Fattys pipes and a jet kit to match pipes. it was running real good after mods. Then i removed the torrs drilled carby for idle screws did all that was said , read on here use a broom handle ect, did a real good job. took her out and had what seemed a cylinder lazy at high rpm cant get her into 6th gear, just bogs down, backfires on one cylinder between change's brakes down up high rpm. pulled the carbys off cleaned them checked jets blew them out with compressed air reassembled left air cleaner off and got backfires on both cylinders wouldn't idle bogged down trying to rev it. put air cleaner back on and its just one cylinder again up high?? could i have changed the slides mistakenly and would that cause this perhaps? the weird thing is it was fine b4 the torrs removal so its somthing iv done . took off the electrical clip that joins the handbrake just in front of the petrol tank. im a bit lost can anyone think of what this may be. any help will be appreciated
  5. Hi All. I have a 09 banshee and its got Pipes FMF Upgrade Reed Upgrade Tusimi Jet Kit To match Pipes. and was going not too bad until i removed the Torrs, i bought from the States torr remove kit. took off the carb tops did the idle screws removed the torrs little black box. started her and all seemed great. took her for a big weekend away. then got smoke from one pipe rich.. and it seemed it wouldnt rev to its limit anymore. pulled the carbs down blew out the jets readjusted the needles played with air screws. then figured it was electrical. pulled the handbrake on and tryed to rev it and it wouldnt . i thought that removing the torrs stopped that. have i overlooked a electrical component that i need to remove as well. i cant find the problem. should i put the torrs back on, as it was a lot better running when the torrs was on. and only started this underrev thing when i remove the torrs.??? i have a electronic dash on her as well could this be a source of the problem too?? any advice will be appreciated. Thanks Drew South Australia. Adelaide..
