  1. you should send the cylinders off to jeff at fast while you opened that motor up better now then later. if your going to do crank might as well go 4mill now then later.
  2. How much for the black curved things that hold up the dumbo years? Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk
  3. so what did you end up doing? I somehow ended up with the same dilemma however the cool head is almost free. I decided to stick with stock modified my last cool head blew one oring or another 4 different times. My 250r head seems to go through an oring every season. that one particularly pisses me off because they ( i wont say who) charges me $27 an oring.
  4. Wanted ported cylinders anything except drag port. Has to be stock stroke. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

  6. If you want power get a serval orings dont always leak but sometimes they do. head gaskets hardly ever leak unless they leak.
  7. so update this motor flat out rips, It has maybe 5% more power with the esr9 pipe but the damn thing wont seal because of my cr500 linkage. So I am back with the sparks MX pipe which to be honest is not bad. Bike is again neck and neck on the dunes with a piped and tuned yfz450r actually 3 of them. If I get a good start I can win by a hair but I'm bad at drags. Its not too bad on fuel nothing like the old banshee I used about 11 gallons on our trip but that counts the 2 gallons still in the fuel tank so really its 9 gallons.
  8. I'm about 10mins from you like 2mins from the guide maridien border. Actually I'm about half a mile from the actual border but as you know we cant just hop the ditch. From abbotsford bc. I think I saw that banshee on Craigslist. Banshees are awesome goodluck. Be careful of these bhq guys they will talk you into a 10k bike build then you'll end up parting it out haha. 10. I learned on an lt230 as well I was like 8 or 9 never used to downshift just held it pinned at stops and it slowly got moving. I destroyed that bike in 3 years. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

  15. Long travel is the only way to go. standard travel just not smooth enough.
  16. I used to ride whistler a lot got pretty good haven't done much last couple of years last year I tried again but my body didn't handle it to well. (Was hit by a car on my road bike). This is my rocky Mountain flatline pro Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk
  17. Ok so long story I had my motor built buy a shop at the dunes and it sucked bad detonated everywhere ran like poo and was very slow. So I sent that motor off to Kevin at HJR and he went over it and re-ported it and cut me a new dome. Turn around time was OK not the 10 days it says but other then that everything was perfect. My motor before could not keep up to a stock yfz not even close, now my bike is neck and neck with a piped and tuned YFZ450r while he was running 20" tires and I only had 18" both stock gearing I had balding tires and his were mint on a fresh cut hay field. I'm happy with that, I was getting annoyed being miles behind everyone. my motor is a Procross 310 cylinder with a +4mm crank. 3rd bike he has ported for me and been happy with all of them.
  18. Never took it racing but did blow past a few banshees at the winchester bay strip no 450 was even close. Got the gopros to prove it Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk
  19. I had my dune 4mill done by HJR the bike was a rocket. Nothing touched that bike. It was ported for mid range. I just had my 250r done by him this weekend once I get it running ill post an update. He started working on the motor on thursday I told him I needed it by the 15th latest. He worked through the long weekend and it should be here today or tomorrow 15 days early. Once I run it ill let you know how it runs compared to before. On my 4mill i ran stock carbs for a while then went to 30mm oko carbs then 34 pj. For me the 34mm was a huge improvement lost a ton of bottom end though on the smaller carbs I wasn't on the pipe as much I could climb big dunes with half throttle on the big carbs I had to rev it good but I easily gained 5-10% on top.
