  1. the motor is only worth 4 to 5 hundred depending on what bore its on and if any porting has been done. Price range on a complete Rz bike is between 1500 and 3000.
  2. Clinton had the unemployment rate at an all time record low, around 2%. 6% is awful numbers, unemployment hasnt been so high since Bush SR was running the show. In the last 3 years, they've permantly layed off 50 or so people from my workplace, and now our biggest customer(pennsylvania house furniture) closed down 3 local plants and layed off 500+ people. All because we can't compete with China and economy has been stale for the past 4 years. Ask the Pittsburg steel workers what the think of Bush and our economy the past 4 years. With the country at war, historicaly the economy should be booming, whats gone wrong this time ??? What went wrong is faulty leadership by an enept president Bush and his war with Iraq. Does everyone know that Bush was the head of a Texas oil company and Cheney was the head of Haliburton just before he became VP, does everyone know that Haliburton has offices set up offshore so they can buy oil from Iran and dodge the US taxes. We can't have our country run by business men, especially ones in the oil business. And the economy has not bounced back. Dow Industrials were very close to touching 12,000 in January of 2000, today its at 10,000 and that number has been hangin around 10,000 for the past 4 years. What you say, the Dow is not a trustworthy indicator of the US economy ??? How bout the Nasdaq...... in January 2000 the Nasdaq hit 5000, today its 1800ish, and as little as last January it was around 1200..... and 1200 is 1994 levels. Oh what you say, the nasdaq is part of the tech bubble and its too narrowly focused. Ok, lets look at the S&P500. Today 1090, 5 years ago 1600. Still not convinced ? How bout the broadest market indicator out there, the Russsel 3000. Today at 615, 5 years ago it was at 900. So lets just all agree that the economy has not bounced back quite yet. And yes I understand that 9\11 has a whole lot to blame for those numbers. Now this is the line that fired me up. You have no idea who the person is who wrote the load bags of starch. So take your fuckin' "holier than tho" attitude and shove it way up your ass because you don't walk in his or my shoes everyday, you don't have the information necessary to call someone who loads trucks LAZY. And that offended the hell out me and it should offend everyone here who works hard for 40 hour a week doing manual labor or working for anyone. Calling someone lazy for loading trucks is offesive as hell and its just not right. Try waltzing up to the next loading dock you see and call the men working there lazy if your so sure that its a bum job. I liked this thread because of the good debate on the upcoming election, there's good arguments to both sides, but I get angry when a fellow forum member gets shit upon. I just got home from working a 14 hour shift, you still gonna call me\us lazy because I dont have 3 mil in the bank? The fact is, different people have different priorities in life. Now you can accept that fact, or you cant state your opinion....... but in my "book" your opinion stinks. Im done with this lets get back on topic please.
  3. I had fun on Sunday. I went out around 1pm and met up with Nathan and Josh around 3pm and rode with em till 5.30ish. There were alot of people riding, camp coalfest shovel area had a big camper parked there with a nice awning and there were a pile of trucks parked around the shovel, guys and dirtbikes everywhere. The flat part where you turn off the paved road to go back to camp coalfest had 20 vehicles parked there and about 30 people standing around and ridin'. Seen about 10 more riders between camp and "the sand pits" and Coal Hill had fair amount of people there too, maybe 25 to 30 people at once with people coming and going all day long. The weather was warm, low 80's maybe and I just put my airbox back on(ran a toomey 2:1 before sunday) and I didnt re-jet my carbs so I was running a little rich. Fouled out a few spark plugs and was smokin out the pipes more than usual. Too rich that I was having a hard time hitting the powerband when I was hillclimbin'. But out on the trails and when I wasn't on the hills the quad ran good enough for me to have a good day riding. Mud wasnt bad, but it was dusty. I still prefer the wet and the mud over the heat and the dust. I got to ride Nate's(03 Orange Shee) Tri-Z 3 wheeler. That was a new experience for me and it was.... interesting. The trike ran great and had some pep to it, but I was just a little shaky on three wheels. It was neat tho. Guys im up for riding ANY weekday, weekends are harder for me to get out riding. Nathan holler next to your coming up Josh.... your crazy but I love ya. Lets do some filming !!!! And your girlfriend that you brought along, is she the one you were talking about in the "women" thread in the roostin' room ?? She seemed very nice. Hang on to her. Its cool she went riding with us, I wanna see her thrashin' that ATC 110 next time. i took my digital camera....... but my batteries were stone dead
  4. No matter who wins the election, its still gonna be a big mess. Maybe its time for someone besides a democrate or republican in the white house. REVOLUTION !! Just some odd thoughts to spice up the convesation..... I work for a lumber company that produces wood panels for fine furniture. cherry table tops, oak panels for desks or tables or whatever, we work with 6 or 7 different tree species. The company I work for has been in business since the late 40s. The past 3 years have been the worst in the companies history. We are very close to going out of business. Why ?? CHINA. Our new global competitor China is undercutting the wood panel business. Get this....... its cheaper for the consumer to buy Chinese panels than ours. Why ? China buys OUR AMERICAN LUMBER, from Pennsylvania, New York, north eastern states... then they boat it across the ocean.... build the panels in thier chinese company and ship it back to America.... cheaper than what we can. How ? They pay thier people $25 cents an hour and no bennys. Then WalMart buys it and sells it. Take a look around, everything is being made in China now... how can the US compete ?? The only winning factors we have over China is speed and quality, we can produce a better product and get it too the customer faster than the Chinese. But when the consumer goes to Walmart and can buy a chinese made computer desk for $100, we can't beat that. An american made cherry or oak desk would cost 5 times that amount. Clinton eliminated the national deficit..... and created a surplus. That deficit was run up over the years by Reagan\Bush and the military happy republicans. This year alone..... we added 445 BILLION to the nation deficit. Who the hell is going to pay for that ? I don't mind paying taxes, as long as my money is not being wasted on Iraqi's. And to the "star" who called us blue-coller workers lazy because we are not rich like them can kiss my hard working ass. To some people money is everything... to others money doent mean as much as living a happy life. After all we only have one life to live, Im not going to work 80 hours a week so I can have more money.... And the guy who was calling people lazy.... your arrogance has cost you your respect and respect is worth a whole lot more than money in my book. This is a good topic to debate and there's heated arguments to both sides, lets just all play nice and quit calling people names because their views are different than yours.
  5. bad "one way" bearing on the starter. common raptor problem
  6. Iv been away from home the past few days. ondeeeznuts I got your emails. I'll Pm you tomorrow about the conversion kit. Yea when you buy one of my kits, you have a 50-50 chance of it fitting in your frame perfectly. Me and a freind build and sell the kits and between the two of us we have three J-arm frames that we used to construct our first kit. The kits' tubing sits differently in each of the three frames, even tho all the frames look straight to the eye, they're all slightly different. Why ? Prolly because the youngest J-arm frame is 14-15 years old, 1990 was the last year for the J-arm frame. Banshee's are usually ridden aggressivly and the frames get a little tweaked over 14 years of trail pounding and jumping. So we designed the kits keeping this in mind, that not every frame is going to be perfectly stock straight. If necessary you make a cut in the lower section of conversion kits tubing, cut about 2\3rds of the way through the tubing and then tweak the tubing so if fits perfectly. After the kits welded into the frame, lay a weld around the cut you made in the tubing.
  7. I worked a job welding the steel framework inside motorhome sidewalls. Mig welded it, I used a big ol' Miller and than welder worked flawlessly for 5 years. American made too. I welded everyday for 5 years at that job. You just gotta love welding metal together. I bought a lincoln 135 and it does the work fine for what I need it for. My buddy bought the 175 amp Lincoln that Boony mentioned and that is a nice welder. 220 volt might cost some people some extra home improvent upgrades. You'd need about 50 bucks worth of wiring and breakers to run a 220 volt line to the welder. Where my 135 amp'er will plug into any 110 receptical. IMO FLUXCORE WELDING SUCKS, DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH IT. I never Tig welded b4, but would love to learn how someday....
  8. Nate, no hair scramble racing this Sunday so I'll be out Coal Hill looking for you guys. I'll be out sometime during the afternoon. I'll take a ride to camp coalfest and look for yas there too. Stay away from the Shamokin end of the strippins\the Mile area. Hope the rain holds off, looks like it will. Here's the latest Weather.com report for Shamokin 17872 Tonight: Considerable cloudiness. Low 59F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow: Cloudy skies early will become partly cloudy later in the day. High 77F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
  9. what psi are ya running in your front tires ?
  10. The Bush family got rich through the oil business. When I was talkin about Bush and his money, I was implying that Bush's oil money might be blood stained. Are you implying that if Kerry's crew gets into office, we will prolly go to war with the worlds richest tomato producing countries ?
  11. Stick to his guns even he made a wrong decision ? Have you ever made a bad decision and just stuck with it because you didnt' want to look stupid? The smart way to doing things is to never assume your decisions will always be 100% correct and it takes a very big man to admit that maybe he made the right choices at the time, but as the world changes the choices and decisions can be changed. It all goes back to that "macho" attitude that Bush has. You see a Kerry as "flip flopper", I see a guy who understands a changing sitiuation and acts accordingly, not "sticking to his guns" even when he's wrong. Sticking to your guns no matter what.... well thats not a leader, thats what the stubborn school yard bully does.
  12. one more note. Im registered Republican. And when it comes down to voting for the presidency, I pick the best man in my eyes, being a republican or democrate are not a concern. Bush is an embarresment and he has alienated our country from the rest of the world with his cocky'ness. For the first time in our country, we invaded another country to go to war..... and we did it without the approval of the United Nations..... We blew em off with the "tuff shit we're kickin' thier ass anyways" mentality... because thats "the amercian way of doing things". Well thats fine for the movies and books, but in the real world.... we got 20 more countries pissed off at us and a million more muslims and arabs wanting to bomb our homeland. And they're not gonna stop..... So plan on payin' taxes for Iraqi firehouses, body bags, amuniton and million dollar tanks, and plan on having the arabs plotting to get us for another 200 years. An eye for an eye is not always the answer. Shoulda let Saddam kill his people, cause damnit I can't see it from my house so I don't give a rats ass about Saddam and his country, what I can see is my mother's medication costing so much they're digging into thier retirement money they worked for all thier life, what I see is my son's school that can't afford newer modern books, and the neighboring schools losing teachers because they can't pay em, what I see is an american stock market THAT HASNT' ADVANCED IN FOUR YEARS, what I see is my America hated by millions of foreigners. Remember 2 years ago when the east coast had that big blackout that took out most of the northeastern states, officials said that our country's electrical grid is old fashioned and that we could have another large outage anytime. No money to fix it. All my taxes are going to support a war that 1\2 the american people don't want.
  13. Kerry.... I'll vote for "anyone but Bush" this bush admistration just might be the worse white house in the history of our country. Bush does not have the mentality to be in the position of "worlds most powerful man". The guy was in charge of a big texas oil company and he drove that company into the ground, they say he did the same for the Texas Rangers baseball team, he was a C student in college. He's a daddy's boy, money coming outta the Bush's oily ass's. That f#uckin' guy is such a sissy, he's daddy's connections got him out of serving in Vietnam, they signed his ass up for the National Guard and the bastard didnt even show up for 99% of the time. There were guys in his division that never seen him before, they can't find anyone that served with Bush. And you guys are going to vote for this rich spoiled cocky dumbass to run our country. How can anyone take our countries leaders seriously when our president can't speak a full sentence without messing up pronucation or stutterin on words, and then after he spews his stupidity, he puts on that SMIRK on his face. Did you Bush guys know that we went to war half way around the world based on false WMD info. Hundreds of our young men died...... for what ? Everyone knows that Iraq was not involved with 9\11, the 9\11 report that was just released confirms this. You say the war was not over oil, I say your wrong. Iraq is the second most oil rich country in the world, Saudi Ariabia being the first. Cheney's job before becoming OUR VICE PRESIDENT was the CEO of America's largest oil company !! If anyone tells me that we went to war with Iraq because of how he treated his people, im going to drive to your house and smack you in the head, because if thats the case..... look out Cuba..... look out Sudan...... look out North Korea cause we're spankin' all the bad guys. This is bullshit...... why are we the worlds police force ?? My son's school books is the same books I used nearly 20 years ago. Im paying the government .28 cents out of every dollar I earn..... so I can bomb Iraq, and then build thier country back up so they have a nice place to hate us in the future. Don't even get me started on the stock market and the economy over the past 4 years....... Look, Kerry's not the most perfect guy, the "perfect" ones for this job come few and far in between. But as the slogan goes........ "ANYONE BUT BUSH !!"
  14. I'll agree with that, I have a cheap GPS and its fun as hell. My buddy has a nice one, paid around $300 for it. It has a nice LCD that plots out his course. He uploads it all into his computer and you can see everywhere he rode, every turn in the road. He has his mounted on his V-max streetbike. Dunedemon thanks thats the exact info I was looking for. The directions tell me to put a mark on my front tire and roll the quad so the mark on the tire makes one full revolution. Put marks on the ground where start the roll and where you finish the roll. I got 67-1\4 inches. Trail tech doesnt tell you how to convert inches to MM's tho , they just tell you to measure in inches and then convert it to mm. I'll do math asap, thanks again.
  15. happy birthday brooke.
  16. yea the security guard at Tower City sure seemed confident that Reading was going to do something with our strippins. You know Del at Gap Racing ? Me and Del will be the ones contacting the Rich bros. I just have to fit it into my schedule. I also heard that the Rich bros' don't work out of the Pottsville offices, they are headquartered in...... oh hell I forget..... Ashland maybe, Girardsville maybe. Del know's where to go. I'd love to be involved with opening up the land. I know alot of locals might get pissed because they had free riding for 50 years and if they open it up there will be ton's of people and rules. I know thats gonna piss people off. Iv been riding up there for 20+ years now, since about '82. Iv never rode the Mt.Carmel strippins but I hear there's alot of land there too.

    STATOR NEEDED

yea i figured "it cant' be my new Ricky Stator, its brandy new and RS has a great rep"..... well after replacing\testing everything electrical, it turned out my new stator was toast. It would fire up for 20 seconds and then it would just die...... we'd fiddle with the wiring harness, the ground wire, the coil.... test it and it would fire up again, Id get all excited that it was fixed only to be disappointed because it would die out in 20 seconds. Replaced the Ricky Stator with a stock one and havent had any issues since.
