  1. OOOOOo yea, one more thing. They ARE bike computers, Trail tech makes em for bicycles and they're nearly indentical and cheaper. I seen em at Wal-Mart about 2 years ago, and they were $19.99 and it was identical to the ATV speedo they sell. I havent seen em at Walmart in along time, but I'v been watchin' Walmart cause I want to put one on my sons Blaster. I think the only difference between the bike ones and ATV's ones is.... the sensor cable.
  2. Average speed, you can find a 2 mile section of trail, reset the Average speed and hammer as fast as you can through the trail, when your done it tells you your Average Speed. Race the same section again and again trying to increase your Average Speed. Max speed. Marks the maximum speed you hit. Don't have to look down at the 'puter, just press a button when you come to a stop and bam, there's your max speed. Speedo. Duh Odometer. Duh again. Trip Time(Stop watch) Ride Time. Resetable hour meter Accumulated riding time. Hour meter Distance Lubrication reminder. Programmable Maintenance reminder. Programmable Speed Pacer, little arrows that flash telling you if your riding slower or faster than your average speed. Auto Start\stop, as soon as you start rolling the speedo fires up. Set it on Stopwatch and it starts the watch as soon as you start moving and stops it when you stop the quad. Only problem I had with mine is I lost the little magnet that you epoxy to your brake rotor, so I took my speedo off for all last summer. I just bought the billet speedo mount with the headlights so the speedo's back on. Last week I got a new magnet and this one you DON'T epoxy the magnet, you replace one of the front disc mounting bolts with this nifty magnetic bolt. I havent' programmed it yet since I re-installed mine. I took my tire measurements on Sunday, but haven't converted the inches to MM's yet. Im gonna need help on that.... buddies.
  3. They're alot of fun and so far mine's held up, had it for about 3 years now.
  4. Trail Tech also makes a nice set of billet lights for all ATVs.... thats what is brighter than stock
  5. I can't beleive that anyone would beleive these quotes..... I just don't get it. It boggles my mind that we make "everyday" common sense decisions..... we know what is right and what is crazy...... the statments I just quoted.... sound crazy as hell to me, im sorry Holyman. Its like saying that wind is caused from the flapping wings of the bird god Jimmy, and thunder comes from the god Thor.... see how silly that sounds ?? When the religous folk say stuff like "The bible says that a thousand years for a man is 1 day to God." I can't fathom that another adult.... in sound mind... would say... "sure thats correct". The bible is full of this crazy talk too. Do you honestly beleive that Noah built a big ship and took two of every animal and the whole world flooded..... you really really believe that ?? Holyman, no disrespect. Just lively debate pal. You knew that tho Why do I need an instruction manual to tell me what is wrong and what is right ?? I don't have a drop of religion in my blood and I know what is right and what is wrong. And what is right in my book..... certainly aint whats right in a church goer's book. I know you all have seen the TV show the Simpsons. You all know the religious neighbor Ned Flanders. I live in a town full of Neds..... they're mostly older folks and they bitch and moan about everything. They use the term "sinners" alot.

Like sand through the hourglass... these are the days of our lives.... da da dadada Josh, my advice. Run run run run run run run run run run run fast run run some more. No seriously, I don't have any good women advice for ya, Im not qualified enough to help. If you guys are fightin and arguin' now, wait till your both 45, you'll be killing each other. Sorry I didnt make it up to camp coalfest over the weekend, I got your message late saturday night and by that time it was torrental downpouring. We'll have to get together soon tho, I'll prolly be riding this Sunday and every day during the week. Bring your old lady up here and we'll have group therapy with a barrel of Yeungling
  7. J, Im serious when I say Im broke..... and thats the only reason my Rz project has never been finished. Im working for peanuts compared to the rest of the world. Times are hard, the boy need braces, the car needs repaired, the bike insurance is due, personal and school taxes are due and Im workin 40 hrs a week and just barely making a living. I haven't bought many toys lately, and my Rz motor needs a crank and pistons, about $500 dollars worth of parts. Nobody knows the troubles i'v seen, nobody knows my sorrow
  8. easy drop in procedure. The mounts are identical, everything just swaps out with no surprises. The only fabbing you'll need to do is for the aformentioned exhaust flanges. you'll need complete rz electrical system componets, like the CDI, PowerValve controller, stator and flywheel, PV servo motor.... you could run Banshee electronics but..... your powervalves wont operate. And thats the whole point.... having powervalves.
  9. Last weekend I went to a hairscramble race held at Rausch Creek, they held the HS very close to the Tower City Trail Riders land, in fact you drove right past the entrance to TCTR to get to the course. Well the Tower City TR security gaurds were driving around the area\checkin' out the race, and I got to talking to one of these TCTR security gaurds. First of all, the Tower City Trail Riders lease land from the Reading coal company. Their land looks very similar to our coal strip mine lands in Treverton\Shamokin. I told the security gaurd that I was from Treverton and asked if ever heard of it. He said 'hell yea, he used to ride a cr500 on the big coal hills at the end of Treverton, refferring to Coal Hill. I said.. "Id love to see our strip mine land open to offroaders like how they have it setup at Tower City. This security gaurd told me "they(reading coal company) is currently looking into opening up the strippins behind Treverton and Shamokin just like they have done at Tower City" and "They are looking for local help in getting the project off the ground" and he told me to contact the "Rich brothers" at Reading coal for more info on how I can help. He reassured me they are trying to get the land open, just a lot of red tape before it happens. so... maybe in a year or 3 the land will be legal to ride. bad news is your going to have to pay a fee to get in just like everywhere else, but what the hell atleast its legal riding. If the land opens up, the local economy will go up, hotel will have bookings, resturants will get more business, bike shops will spring up and Shamokin and Treverton will have a future. Plus...... maybe I could score a job there riding quads for a living !! Well its been a week now since Iv heard this news, and we havent contacted Reading Coal yet.... but I'll try to get some dialog with em as soon as I have the time to drive to thier headquarters..... about 40 miles away.
  10. Agreed. also no denomination and I havent been to church since age 12ish. It all sounded like bullshit to me at age 12 so I got hell outta there before they had me doing all thier weird rituals.
  11. I seen a video that JKJK filmed with a helmet cam and all I can say is.... I WANT ONE !! I seen some setups that use a small LCD screen\8mm tape player\recorder that Sony makes, instead of using a camcorder. Its called a Sony Videoman..... remember the sony Walkmans, well this is for video. You hook up one of those 480 ressy cameras to it and the Vid-man fits in a backpack or whatever. The only benifits I can see using a Videoman over a camcorder is the size of the vid-man is smaller compared to any older normal sized camcorders. The videoman comes with a 6 inch LCD screen so it got a bigger screen than most camcorders..... and the price of videoman is around $180 bucks compared to a low end camcorder at 299. Gotta remember to buy a camcorder with audio and video inputs that makes the camcorder worth more. The videoman has A\V inputs, and it records on 8mm tape. It folds down pretty slim too, easy and lightweight to carry.

  14. I got a billet james lucky one on my banshee, they sell two styles of kickers, one thats similar in design to the stock kicker and one heavy duty one. I bought the heavy duty one and I love mine, it looks great, weights less than stock and Iv never had one single problem with mine.
  15. we're working on CF II . Here the latest devleopments. The strippins can be broken down into two sections, the west end\Treverton end and the east end\Shamokin end The coal company is planning to drain the big lake named "the mile", they say there is a vein of coal under the water that is worth going after. The "mile" is located at the Shamokin end of the strippins, about 6 miles east of where we had the first Coalfest camp. Last week the Reading Coal Company ran an ad in the Shamokin paper stating they will be patrolling for trespassers and anyone caught on the land will be prosacuted. And they are serious, they have been patrolling the east end\Mile area daily and I have talked to a half dozen people who have been stopped and told to get the hell outta there. They bulldozed my path that leads from my house to the main access road through the strippins. They bulldozed the trails leading to the "Mile" and put up fresh Posted signs. Once you get past the "Mile" and get to the middle of the "strippins", you don't see any signs of Coal Cops, they are only worried about "the mile" area. I was out riding during the week and once I got past the "mile" I seen alot of people riding in peace. There were 5-8 vehicles parked at Camp Coalfest area, there was another 5-8 trucks and trailers parked across the canyon from camp, as I rode towards Coal Hill I seen 5 more vehicles\trailers parked near the first bend in the highway\back where those abandon coal trucks and coal equipment are.... Getting closer to Coal Hill, I see 3 or 4 more trucks parked. Im aproxx 1 mile from Coal Hill and see more vehicals parked..... once I got to Coal Hill there were 10 trucks parked at Coal Hill and I counted 38 people riding on quads and bikes. There was one big group of riders all together, about 20 of em..... so I rode over to em and they were watchin a few of thier crew climb some of the lower big hills..... they had two nice Banshee with em that were running paddles and they were shooting roost 3\4 of the way down the hill from the top. I asked the guys if they were locals(i knew they we'rent) and they told me they drove up from West Virginia !!! Told me they've been here 3 times before and they love it up here. There was atleast 20 in thier crew and they were riding all weekend and didnt have any run-ins with the coal cops, but.... they stayed away from the Shamokin end and only rode the land near Coal Hill and camp Coalfest. Moral of the story... the coal cops ARE crackin' down.... but only near the Shamokin end of the strippins, the "mile" area.... the "green grassys" area..... and once you get 3 miles deep\out of Shamokin you don't have any problems with coal cops. I seen aproxx 70 riders total last weekend and everyone was having fun and no one seemed like they were nervous about parking. Yesterday\Saturday..... they lifeflighted someone off of Coal Hill. I don't know what the story is yet, but Josh\xcracer has been up here riding all weekend, maybe he can tell us the story. So.. they lifeflighted two people out of the Coal Hill area in two months time. Don't know how much more the coal companies can take of that. Whenever the copter comes, the coal companies crack down. we'll see what happens. Got more story to tell..... but I'll post that tomorrow night. This news I have is good news. Great news in fact.
