  1. do these look like the ones that would work for me? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RTQ:MOTORS:1123
  2. is your jetting all stock? was is your oil mix ratio? if it doesn't foul plugs and runs good, who cares if it smokes and runs a little rich?
  3. yes, you went the wrong way with the needles. put the clip in the closest groove towards the pointy end of needle. that will raise the needle in the needle jet and richen things up a bit. try it at this position and report back.
  4. i would contact the manufacturer. if you can't get help there, maybe try 250-280 mains and 27.5 pilots. needle stock in stock position.
  5. for the float level, just turn the carbs upside down and make sure that the flat part on the floats, is level with the float bowl mating surface. i hate the dynojet kits. i don't like someone else giving me a kit w/so called proper jetting. i like to jet my stuff to "my" altitude, "my" exact mods, etc. what is the current jetting that you are using? also, do a comp test for us.....cold and warm. report back w/numbers and jetting specs. for carb sync, give it enough throttle (engine is off of course) to see the black dot/circle that's on the side of the throttle slide, is centered in the little glass window, on one of the carbs. then, while holding the throttle there, look at the other carb and see if the black dot/circle is visible centered in the window. if not, then adjust the cable going to the "off sync carb" and adjust until its in the middle of window.
  6. yeah, you are too lean. you will need to fatten up your pilots to like 27.5's and fatten your mains up to 220-240. start fat at 240 and work your way down from there if needed. the reason your shee runs better w/choke out, is cause your adding the additional fuel needed to run right...the jets you have are too small. you are giving your engine way more air w/the k&n's so additional fuel is needed to be at a 14:1 fuel to air ratio. jet your shee up and report back.
  7. what fmf pipes are you using? you say gold series, but that means nothing. are they fattys?
  8. what are you guys out there using.....or what should i use?
  9. is it me, or do the ports in the pics, not look to be all that chamfered, if some at all? and as for the stupid thug to say that destroying things w/a crowbar.......just shut the fuck up, with a stupid immature comment like that. not good advice. your probably one of those dumbfuckers that i would see getting arrested on cops, for breaking and entering, or something else stupid like that.
  10. what was the problem with the pro design cool heads, cause my buddy has one on his shee w/19cc domes and he doesn't have any problems?
  11. i don't ride in the dunes, just fields and some dusty/dirty areas. i work in a machine shop, so if i need to make a sleeve, i can. just need to know where the throttle cable that i need is...is that in parts unlimited?
  12. its always like this, the machinist never fucks anything up. its always the engine builders fault. the machine shops never help to pay for anything, once something grenades, due to their fault. its always like this. it just sucks for us. well, lesson learned. never take another cylinder there, and tell everyone never to go to that machine shop. yeah, please try to post some pics of the cylinder ports. we'll be able to tell if they were properly chamfered.
  13. ok. so, the power jet is not needed for me? when would a guy need that, just when additional fuel is needed? what throttle cable will i need? oh yeah, could i use my stock airbox w/uni-filter? probably better to use twin k&n pods for max airflow? just don't want to be cleaning the filters every hour.....you know.
  14. i'm in need of a new rear bearing carrier and was wondering what is the better choice to go with. should i get a stock replacement (steel) or get one of those neat looking billet aluminum ones that are on ebay? to me it seems like the steel would be able to hold up better to the off-road abuse. what do you guys think i should do?
  15. ok great! whats the difference between the tmx's and the tm's? what filters? k&n's. can i just use my stock airbox with uni-filter? what throttle cable, needles, mains, and pilots would i need?
  16. i run 3-axis vertical machining centers at work. have you done this with a 3-axis vmc before?
  17. i was going to say that i kinda looks like a mod quad too. like the ones in parts unlimited, but without the engraving.
  18. thanks man! i went there, downloaded it, and now i going to try it out. pretty cool. thanks again!
  19. right now i'm using belray trans oil. i probably am going to switch to amsoil 10w-30 synthetic. manual says to use either 10w-30 or 10w-40.
  20. has anyone, or does anyone recommend switching out my stock shee carbs for some 28mm flatslides? if i should get the flatslides, should i get the tmx's or tm's? i like mikuni's personally, so i'd like to get that brand of carb. i thought since flatslides have better throttle response and that they say the power band gets a little broader, that i would install them. i plan on getting my cylinders ported, so i thought the 28's would be a good route. I see some guys run 28mm round slides, but why stick with the round slides? any thoughts and opinions? oh yeah, my mods are in my sig.
  21. everybody talks about fast and kevin herr. who are these people? can someone give me their contact info, so i have some good contacts on hand in case i need some more go fast goodies? thanks.
  22. i plan on doing my own porting too. i want to know as well where to get this degree wheel.
  23. what were you running for jetting and what elevation were you at when it blew up? what was the temp? are those all the mods you have done...what's listed that is? how shaved is the head?
