  1. The difference between stock and yfz setups is having to grab a hand full of brake with stock and using two fingers with yfz. Also, like mentioned, control and feel. Huge difference between the two. I will say though that good suspension will help with braking also. Also, tires play a huge part in braking and control. Considering the amount of money that we throw into these things, a few extra bucks for the yfz brakes is well worth it Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
  2. You don't need to run a mix of 110 octane. 93 octane will be fine for your motor. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
  3. The vf3 that he has are for a cheetah setup. They will not fit stock, cub, or serval cylinders Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
  4. Just seeing if anyone has a slingshot lockup for sale. Let me know what you have Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
  5. Just want to say Abe is a great seller. I just got my stuff today in the mail. Just to let everyone know, this is how you package your parts! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  6. I had a similar situation when I first put my motor together. I flip flogged everything and it worked out. I took the base gasket and flipped it over, took the right piston and put it on the left, left piston on the right, right dome on left and left some on right. Also, now that you have the jugs on and torqued down, take the head off and measure the squish with a piece of solder that goes all the way across the piston instead of through the spark plug hole. 7. Where are you from man? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  8. That's cool Tyler. I get that. I think I remember some of that bs. I agree that for drag arms there are a bunch of sponsors to go to. For a mx arm there are a lot less people to go to. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  9. I know that the JL thread got deleted. Did other threads get deleted? One of the reasons I like this site is because it was a open forum were people spoke their mind and shit wouldn't get deleted. As for the JL thread, I'm still trying to figure out why Tyler won't just say why he is so against JL. I know a ton of people on here have or had his swing arms and love them Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  10. Honestly it all depends on your type of riding. If you do mostly trails and mx, then go with a stock length. I had a 4mil dune port with cpi pipes on a stock swinger. I was also running 15/41 gearing with holeshot gncc tires and it was really nice. Gearing changes and tire selection will play a part in the swinger choice also Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  11. I sure do need one lol. My old 4mil dune port shifted great. This 7mil cheetah, not so much Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  12. Cool thanks. I didn't think I was going to need a promod trans. Well, I was wrong lol Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Ok guys, I have a question about doing a plug chop. I know you need to do a 6th gear pull wot then cut the engine and cost to a stop. Now, the question is, do I need to hold it wide open through all the gears to 6th gear or can I take it a little easy up to 6th then pin it? The reason I'm asking is because the thing doesn't want to shift well under pull power. I know I need to get the trans cut but I want to wait til the winter to pull the motor apart again. I just want to check my jetting to get some riding in before the winter Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  14. Are those numbers both on methanol? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah. Maybe find someone who has a known working electrical system and swap out parts Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  16. You might just a have a wacky setup. Either your port timings are way off or something else is funky. With 21cc domes your compression seems a little low and your squish is a little big. Do you know what thickness your base gaskets are? Maybe try some thinner base gaskets to drop the cylinders a little and tighten up your squish Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  17. Are you running a spacer plate or do you have the domes cut for a 4mil? What fuel are you running? Have you done a leak down test, a squish test, and a compression test? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  18. What's your jetting? Might want to do a leak down test Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  19. Where in Jersey are you located? What kind of pricing for dyno runs? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  20. What are your mods? Sounds like you might be running your bowls dry Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  21. 21cc would probably be a good choice. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  22. Where do you live? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  23. Download the tapatalk app, snap some pics with your cell and post the pics. Someone should be able to tell you what they are Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  24. Yes, you will need to rejet. Very simple and not expensive. What carbs are you running? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  25. No. The domes just pop right in and out. Of you plan to change them, your best bet would be to call a builder and have some custom domes cut for whatever fuel you want to run. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
