  1. Sorry, when I say race fuel I mean like 110 octane. Alcohol is a whole other thing Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  2. No. If you want to keep your current setup, you are looking at race gas. If you want to run pump gas, you have to change your domes Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  3. Back to my statement, what fuel do you want to run? Do you want to run pump fuel or race gas? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  4. If it doesn't hold the 6psi, you have to find the air leak and fix it. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  5. Don't do that. It will run like crap. First decide what fuel you want to run, then build from there. Once again, with 19cc domes and any amount of advanced timing, you are looking at race gas. If you want to run 91 octane, I would go to 22cc domes and 0 to +2 timing. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  6. The leak down tester is cheap insurance. 25 bucks and a half hour of time will save you hundreds of dollars Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  7. Sheerider is correct. Do some searching on how to do a leak down test and compression check. A leak down tester will cost you about $25 dollars in parts and get yourself a good compression checker ( snap on, Mac, craftsman). 91 octane is way low for that motor if you are running 19cc domes. You will probably be closer to 110 octane. If you don't want to run race gas, change out your domes to 21cc domes. Are you running any advanced timing? That will play a factor in your octane choice also. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  8. A lot depends on what is done to the motor and what size domes you are running. Also, are you running any timing? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  9. 91 is too low of an octane if you are pumping 160 psi. Like said, take the carbs off, clean them and check your jets. While the carbs are off, do a leak down test. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  10. Check your jetting and do a leak down test. What octane fuel are you using? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  11. Actually, I'm curious about what he has to say about the stator. I bought one of the Race Tech stators two years ago when he first started selling them. I haven't put too much time on it yet. Maybe two hours at most Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  12. How long did you have each stator before it "burnt up"? when you say, "burnt up", what do you mean? Like it just didn't work or it worked for a little bit then stopped working? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  13. I think he meant he burnt up the stator not the pick up coil. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  14. Did you disconnect the tors brain? Try closing up the gap on your plugs. Are all of your grounds connected and clean? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  15. I bought mine from the dealership. I'll look and see if I can find the package for it Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  16. You can also get a closed circuit tether. You can hook it up to the key wires and basically use your tether as the key. This is the setup I'm putting on my quad since the key was already taking off Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  17. Where at in PA are you? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  18. RRL, I think he meant with the plus 2 arms he should have at least an axle that's plus 1 on each side Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  19. You guys did some testing with these right? If so, you guys should ha e some dyno numbers Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  20. I guess I'll start the questions, lol. As cast, what kind of porting would you say these are set to? Have you done any dyno runs with these? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  21. A/S like to be a lot leaner then standard carbs. You might want to try going down on your pilot Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  22. Sandking, what did it cost to have the rear rebuilt Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  23. Just grab the stage 3 package. For 500 more you get better fronts and a rear shock. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  24. I agree with you on OP's motor. I do hear you on the customer bike thing. When I work on other people's bikes I tell them to run 32 or 36. But like I asked, do you think piston selection has an effect on oil and ratio choice? I have rebuild my own motors tons of times with a few off balls mixed in. You have a hell of a lot more experience working on different motors Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  25. Ok cool. Thanks for getting back about the oil. I raced motorcross and harescrambles for years on bikes. In my bikes I always ran Golden Spectro at 48:1 (12oz bottle to 4.5 gallons). Same mix for almost 25 years at this point lol. Not saying you are wrong at all, I'm actually intrigued to see what you had to say and why. I am running Golden Spectro at 40:1 in the Banshee though. Maybe as a thought, I always ran OEM cast pistons in my bikes. Could running weisco forged pistons vs OEM cast pistons have an influence on what oil and ratio you run?
