Reeds just get a set of Boyesen reeds (not the whole cage) and the timing plate just go with the Ricky Stator one of Ebay for 30-40 bucks.

For cheap, get the timing plate and get a set of aftermarket reeds. A little more money, get a cool head with some smaller domes. Past that your getting into porting and stroking. Also some great upgrades are suspension components. The mods are only limited to your wallet and beyond that there are credit cards

Give us an idea of what you want to spend. Also do you just have the pipes and filter or something else?

If the carbs are on just make sure that you hold the throttle wide open as you kick

Honestly, just spend the $30-$40 for the adjustable plate. Then you can go -10 to +10 with ease.

Good starting point would be 25 pilot, middle clip postion, 280 main, 1.5 turns out on the air screw. I would say get 21cc domes just to play it safe. I had 20cc at about the same elevation and was cranking 160 psi. Do you have a timing plate? If not spend the 30-40 bucks for one and set it at +4 and you'll be pretty happy

Put your carbs on and try tapping on the bowls to see if the floats are sticking. Are you getting plenty of fuel from your tank? Make sure the tank vent hose isnt clogged.

Before you buy domes you need to figure out if its stroked or not. Remember if you need stroker domes the sizing changes. From what I gather 24cc stroker domes are the limit for pump gas

Whats your elevation? That will make a big difference in jetting and what size domes. You can go up to 150psi with +4 timing before you need to go to racing fuel.

I dont know about the PV cylinders you have but on the YZ's Ive had with PV's you will get a little smoke and oil out of it but not much at all. I would maybe give it a little bit for the oil from building burns off.

I have one on my bike. Fit is great and looks nice. I think the biggest problem I have with it is the oring for the water neck was kind of a bitch. But other then that great item and I would not think twice about buying from them again.
