  1. He is running a JJH
  2. If I wanted to spend $300-$400 dollars I would have done that already. I can find carbs used for under $100 each just by looking around. I was just asking if anyone had an idea so it could stream line the search
  3. Yeah the Airstrikers are a little more responsive. The big thing with them is like you said they have a better recovery from jumps and whoops. If you look at the filter side of the carb they have little fins that help direct air for the low end. Fouled, did you notice any more response or better feel out of the TMX's? just thinking of ttrying some different things.
  4. I have been helping a guy jet his 535 Cheetah. Here is his setup. Now we are thinking he needs a little bigger main right now: CP Industries 535cc Cheetah PV Cylinder (Drag Ported) Crankworks Billet 10mil Stroker Crank (Trued To 0.004", and Both Sides Of Pin Tig Welded) TZ Bearing on PTO Side, and Max-Load Bearing on Stator Side Crankworks 115mm Rods and Bearings Wiseco 73mm Pistons, Rings, and cir-clips Wiseco Wristpin and Top Bearings Cheetah Coolhead, with 25cc Removable Domes Cheetah/Trinity Power-valves with 230 Jets All ARP High Tensile Studs and Nuts V-Force 3 CR-250 Reeds Pro-Design CR-250 Billet Intakes Keihin 39mm PWK Carburetors K&N 14" Pod Filters Pingel Dual 5/16" Output Fuel Valve CPI Big Bore In-Frame Drag Pipes and Silencers Tusk Clutch Fibers and Steels, with stock weight springs Direct Drive Lock-out, with 2 Weights On All 6 Fingers Direct Drive Lock-out Clutch Cover ModQuad Billet Water Pump Cover Pro-Design Billet Water Impellor Shift Star Modified ModQuad Billet Dipstick Jetting is 52 Pilots, 180 Mains, CGK Needle 3rd Clip, 1 Turn Out on Air Screw Primary Drive 15/39 Gearing
  5. I have PWk 28mm now so not looking that way. Just looking for maybe something different. I really want some PWK Airstrikers but I cant find them for a good price. So Im just looking for some thoughts on other carbs
  6. I have a TMX on my 125 and it seems easy to tune. The Keihin PWM is shorter over all length for more topend from what I have read. Fouled, what was the tuning difference between the TMX and the PWK? Just looking for some input. Thanks
  7. What size are you looking for?
  8. Bump. No one has every screwed around with different carbs? I know guys are using the Lectrons so how bout some of these other carbs?
  9. I cant tell with those new invisable plugs you have.
  10. Does anyone know what bike or quads came stock with Keihin PWK Airstrikers 35mm? Im trying to track some down and I have found a few bikes that run the 38mm Airstrikers but not the 35mm.
  11. Has anyone every tried using other carbs other then Keihin PJ or PWK's on their banshee? I was mostly wondering about either Keihin PWM's or Mikuni TMX's. I have found a bunch of these carbs and was trying to see if anyone has tried them on the banshee or if they have heard anyone using them.
  12. Yeah getting the rear revalved is a good idea. Right now with my +2 arms and standard 2/3 wheels Im at 49 inches to give you a good idea. Most of the stock 4strokes right now are at about 48-50 inches
  13. Can you please use some puncuation? It is really hard to figure out what you are saying
  14. A well built 4mil dune port would get you in that range of power. I have a dune port 4mil with CPI's and it works great in the woods. What kind of budget are you working with?
  15. Hey. Is it a spacer for an intake clamp? I know yamaha likes to put those on their intake clamps so you dont over tighten them or something. It looks like it might be about that size.
  16. Im sure its only a couple bucks. Plus they should have it in stock which is always a good thing. Just checked. $5.36 at my dealership. Most dealership have generic stuff sitting there like woodruff keys so it may be cheaper
  17. just go to the dealership and pick one up. The one you posted is an advanced degree key so it sets your timing +4. Some people have had problems with them others havnt. If you have a timing plate you really dont want to get an advanaced key.
  18. Wow dude calm down. Your reeds can be fine and still have an air leak. The air leak will be at the base gaskets, reed gaskets, intake boots. Now, if you have an air leak and you add more fuel it will clear it up. Now when you are pulling the choke its adding fuel to the lean side that may have the air leak AND adding fuel to the good side which would cause the good side to get too much fuel. When I rebuilt my motor everthing looked great but I decided to do a leak down test and guess what, I had an air leak. You may have a cracked air boot or a bad base gasket or bad reed gaskets. Its easy to check and will save you $$$.
  19. Check for an air leak. Spray your intakes with starting fluid or use a propane torch and see if it fixes the issue.
  20. Sounds close. Maybe go up on the main just to be safe and work back down. May end up with a 48 pilot. I did make a mistake, I have a 45 pilot not 42.
  21. Is it maybe a piece from the PV on the YZ? I think on my old 125 there was something like that. I dont remember seeing anything like that when I did my bottom end on the banshee.
  22. Im running 42 pilot, clip in the middle, 155 main. Thats with about the same setup. Im running an airbox with a foam filter. If your running K&N go richer
  23. As far as porting goes, check some of the sponsors on here for prices. You should be able to get a topend, bore and hone, and a port job for 700. Yes weisco is reliable. Yeah a different set of pipes would open up the topend. Also a different set of carbs would help out the topend. You can go all different ways with your build. I ride a lot of tight trails and some hillclimbs. I build a 4mil dune port motor with CPI's and keihin pwk 28 carbs. The thing rips in the woods considering it is geared towards more of a wide open/dune bike. Yes the works dual rates will work with the YZF arms but you will probably have to have them revalved for the extended arms.
  24. Ok is that on top of the cost of the rebuild or is that the grand total you have for everything? Im going to say some port work and either a shaved head or a cool head and some domes. Also maybe look at some suspension upgrades instead of motor upgrades. You can do a YFZ front swap for a decent price and it will be a world of difference
  25. Do you have a certain amount in mind that you want to spend? That will help us give you some ideas
