  1. it has been sitting for a couple years. Im going to go through it tonight a bit and do a compression test when i get out of work and see where i am at like you said. If all is good then i am going to run it as is. thanks for your help it is appreciated.
  2. thanks for the links. im sure that it is not unburnt fuel though. It is picking up gear oil from somewhere. if the crank seal was shot would it still run good?
  3. just picked up another shee. its a 93 with t5's, noss head 20cc domes, v-force reeds, k&n filters.... when i ride it, its like it is dripping gear oil from the exhaust clamps and little bit... does this mean the rings are toast? it runs mint though so i figured if the rings were that bad it would run terrible. also could it be sucking the oil in through the reeds? im still a bit of a newb so some help from the hq pro's would be greatly appreciated!!
  4. i was there in july of last summer and there was no db checking what so ever. The only thing they were checking for was spark arrestors. Not sure if that is going to change for this season though.
  5. nice find.... he did say OBO

  10. thanks bud... pretty cool to find a place with knowlegable people that are willing to help you out and not tear u apart for asking a question!
  11. what kind of mods do u have if u dont mind typing it out
  12. good deal. looks like i'll be looking for some new carbs then. hopefully i can find some ebay specials
  13. oops sorry for the typo 35mm is correct. I also have boyesen pro series reeds as well. if i get dual carbs will i be sacrificing much bottom end? because the trails i ride are pretty tight and thats why i went with the single carb setup. after porting would i need a larger single carb if i wanted to stick with the single carb setup? sorry for the dumb questions
  14. thanks for the responses guys.... more than helpful site btw....
  15. im new to the banshee scene so plz try and keep the flaming to a minimum  bike has paul turner mid range pipes, K&N filter with no lid, trinity 2 to 1 and 25mm carb, +3 timing..... i ride mostly trails with the occasional trip to the dunes. from what ive read porting seems like the best bang for buck power wise so i guess im going to get in touch with jeff at F.A.S.T. i guess what im trying to say is since im going to port this thing for an agessive trail/dune port are there any other performance mods i should look into that might be necessary before porting? Thanks for the help in advance and let me kno if there isnt enough info
