  1. -Ok, first of all, what are you doing trying to put the bike in gear and ride it when only one cylinder running and seems to be shooting antifreeze out of the exhaust? Ya know that it is easy to blow an engine with antifreeze in your cylinders? -Now what is the compression of the other cylinder? -Do you see white smoke from the exhaust? -Did you put the ball in along with the push rod for your clutch? -Did you forget to put the adjustment screw in the pressure plate? -You will probably have to take the clutch cover off and tell us more about what you see. -Another good way to check to see if you have a head gasket leak (most likely if you have coolant in your cylinders) is to look at your coolant overflow reservoir as the engine is running and see if there are any bubbles coming in. -If you do have a leaking head gasket, then you will have to take the head off and see where the problem is. You may have a damaged spot on your head/cylinder or if you have a cool head then your o-rings may not have properly seated in. -There are a number of things I could list here but you have to tell us more in order to get better advice to fix your problem. -Another suggestion is to get a clymer manual. Those help out alot.
  2. I know someone that is trying to get rid of his suzuki z400 but I don't know how much he is wanting to sell it for. I think he wants 2k for it. And I have a friend that has a 400ex with big bore kit on it and he wants to sell it for 1k. Personally I think the 400ex needs some work but the z400 is pretty nice. I know how he rides and it doesn't have many miles on the z400. Let me know what you think.
  3. Anybody know where I can get a new clutch cover that has a removable cover for the clutch without it costing me a ton? I'm sick and tired of draining my coolant and oil to adjust my damn clutch!
  4. Oh just a reminder. Everyone bring locks to lock their shit up! I just checked the forum on the Haspin website and there have been some thieves running around the camp site recently. :ninja: I'm definitely locking my stuff up in the truck and locking the bike to the trailer with a cable lock!
  5. Yeah when I got in the military it was either soda or coke. No pop. Now I don't say pop anymore and say soda instead. It didn't help that I lived in the Southland for 5 years either.
  6. anybody have a google overhead image of the area and circle the spot were we all want to camp?
  7. I don't know man. I've forgot to put the shift mechanism in before I put the entire clutch assembly on. We all forget things from time to time. But then again his bike wouldn't kick over if that gear was missing.
  8. And I have no idea what time I will get there. I am guessing around 7 or 8.
  9. It really looks like that small gear that goes on the clutch basket. Idk if that gear is capable of coming off though. :ermm: I've torn my engine down many times and it looks really familiar.
  10. You can check my profile for a couple pics but they don't have the new swinger. Thats all that has changed since those pics have been taken. JasonsBanshee - 2 cases of water, condiments (mustard, ketchup and relish) and chips IndianapolisBuck - 3 12 packs of buns, 2 bags of chips, paper plates Misssppelllleddd - Grill, pop (coke and pepsi), bottle of jack, the shop, and spare parts
  11. I suggest you talk to slobanshee06 about getting your port work done too! He is really good at it! So here is my .02........STROKE IT!
  12. I can bring a grill and some jack and coke sounds pretty damn good right now. I think I might bring some of that too. So I'm bringin' the shop, lots of spare parts, and a grill.
  13. I change my mind. I will be going there on Friday night. I need someones number so I can call them on Friday so I know where I'm going. I will probably get there after dark. I will be bringing some beer and every tool that we may need. I will also bring all my spare parts. Fluids are on everyone else though. I don't have much of that to spare. If there is anything needing any fixin', I can setup shop right there.
  14. I'm still down for the ride and not the benefit. There is no reason why we should cancel the ride cuz the benefit can't happen and I hope that everyone still comes out. Anyways I'm gonna "camp" (sleep in the truck or truck bed) on Saturday night. I live a little less than 4 hours away so I will just be there on Saturday morning around 9am. I've never been there before and if anyone could PM me their numbers in exchange for mine would be great just in case if I get there a little late and can't find anyone. Even with the big BHQ sign I would still get lost. Also on Saturday, there is an MX race at 5pm so the track will probably be closed for half the day. At least we could have a few drinks and go watch  I can't wait to ride. Indianapolisbuck, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
  15. For most 8 plate clutch systems you need to get the entire kit. The basket, inner hub, and pressure plate. Thats the way it was for my Hinson kit.
  16. My friend bought some of those hoses for his craptor and he blew one out the first day he used them at the off-road park. He bought some CV4 hoses and never had a problem since.
  17. Are we still having the silent auction? I found a new set of rear brake pads I'm gonna add to the whole front set. I would have a complete set of brakes and rotors but I'm just missing the rear rotor. If anyone would want to add the rear rotor then I'm sure we could make a killin' with a whole set. As for the drag race. I'm not too good of a drag racer nor do I have a drag setup since I just put a -2 swinger on. But I'm gonna compete anyways. It's for the benefit.
  18. An update on the rotors and pads. I still have to search through all my spare parts but I'm sure they are still there. I also ordered them for a 87 shee if that changes anyone elses mind cuz i believe that they changed the front brakes on the shee in 1990. I know they changed the calipers but I dont know about the rotors. And the rotors are solid. No holes. I think I may also have a set of rear pads....but let me check this weekend when I get home.
  19. What years and what changes were made to the front and rear brakes if any changes were made at all?
  20. let me see what i have. i think i have brand new front rotors and brake pads that i can donate.
  21. Well its confirmed that I will not be going. Maybe sometime this summer we can all get together? From what my schedule looks like, I will be working the first weekend of every month and July 16th-August 2nd. Gotta love the weekend warrior shit! lol
  22. Does it also effect the way the quad will handle jumps? Like easier control or better preload?
