  1. But wwould domes should I run with the head? I would I would like to run 100th in it
  2. I could lower the compression but that means I have to deal with Trinity. Or else I find 110 octane fuel around Wichita. I think I will try finding fuel. I can't stand dealing with trinity.
  3. I really love the compression and how snappy it is. I can even run through the gears in idle. But I have thought about lowering the compression due to the fact that Wichita seems to have 100LL fuel at best so far.
  4. I have a megaflow impeller so stock water pump is replaced. Unfortunately I did not plug the exhaust. I knew I forgot something. I have Pro Circuit pipes so I can easily take those apart. It has been sitting on a trailer since I left Illinois. That reminds me. Illinois is 680ft above sea level. Wichita is 1260ft above sea level. Does that mean I have to do plug chops again? Would you think the Trinity Head gasket O-rings would deteriorate over time?
  5. This may need to be moved. If so I am sorry. I'm not new to BHQ but I haven't been on forever! I still have the same ole' shee. The major thing that has changed in my life is that I now live in Wichita KS. Little Sahara isn't too far away. I am currently replacing the rear shock. Old one blown out. Now I have an issue. However, the old 'shee has been sitting for aprox. 3 years. No fuel in the tank. No coolant in the system. Oil however (80W) is still in the tranny. I use 80W because I have the Hinson 8-plate clutch system. After replacing the shock are there any suggestions on what I should do to get her back up and running? I'm running a 5mm stoker crank, forged aluminum pistions (bored .50 over), aggressive trail port (Wildcard), roughly 215lbs of compression each cylinder. It has been stored In a tool shed without climate control. Trinity stage 4 head with 19cc domes. Trinity 2 in 1 intake with 33mm carb. No airbox. Front suspension looks good but I definitely need to change brake fluid. Brakes stick. Any questions, comments, concerns please post. I am open to suggestions. Thank you.
  6. I have a used Motion Pro twist throttle setup I want to sell. I used it once and didn't like it and switched back to thumb throttle. The whole kit includes.... -Twist throttle tube. -Progrip 797 grips. -Dual carb throttle cable never opened. -Single carb steel braided cable. -Carb caps for TORS removal on stock carbs. -Instructions for installation and TORS removal/disabling. It's currently on eBay so you can see the pics there. My eBay name is jergy13. Feel free to give me an offer via pm. Thank you.
  7. I put alot on my engine build. 4mm stroker, stage 4 head with 19cc domes (215lbs compression each cylinder), Hinson racing clutch system, aggressive trail/mx port from Wildcard, 2 in 1 carb setup with a 33mm pwk, pro circuit platinum pipes, crankcase port, and I have a 15 tooth front sprocket with a 42 tooth rear sprocket. I have a +2 +1 front suspension and use a -2 inch roundhouse swingarm. I can't remember what brand of swingarm at the moment but I really like it on the track. It rides great on the track. I left a review on my setup a couple years back and it hasnt changed.
  8. That would be awesome! I have a 1987 'shee. Its looking pretty good for me to go. I just hope that I won't be in the field that weekend. If the weather is good for the next two weeks we should be done harvesting.
  9. I want to go so freakin' bad but I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to go....... I haven't ridden my 'shee in over a year. I still haven't fixed the shift problem on it yet. My best bet would be that I would know whether I can go or not a week before the event. I have Razr front and rear tires. Will those work?
  10. I might be able to make it. I haven't really rode my 'shee in about a year now.
  11. I've never been there before and would like to go! I need to get some sparkies for my Pro Circuits though. Also I need some paddles. Would razr fronts work okay in the dunes? I've never ridden in the dunes before either.
  12. I had everything ready by 3:30 Saturday morning and slept through my alarm. I guess thats what I get for waiting last minute.
  13. bring your cameras and cables! i will have a laptop with me.
  14. To fix the leak you have to pop the clutch cover and stator cover off. Remove the clutch for easy access and remove the shift shaft. Also you have to drain the coolant. I would just really wait til after the ride unless it is dripping quite fast.
  15. great to have ya join us! hopefully i can make a big BHQ sign to hoist up or something!
  16. good luck with that man! i tried to get a military discount and they said "no". but give it a shot anyways. doesn't hurt to try. i will be going and maybe some friends may come along too but they are intimidated by banshees. lol. as for the rain dates, i doubt i will be able to make it because i have to work on post the first weekend of the month.
  17. I have a complete set of +2 +1 "V" Arms from Lonestar Racing. I really like them too! I'm not sure if you can put yfz 450 shocks on them though. I don't see why not. http://www.lsracing.com/yamaha-banshee.htm
  18. I don't like to ride tight trails much but from what tight trails I rode at Haspin I was pretty satisfied about how well it did. It can speed out of tight turns pretty quick. The power band has a much harder hit in lower rpm's than stock but gets smooth after that. When I used to have a stock setup I remember it having a pretty strong power band between mid range and high end. It takes some practice to learn how it runs because it is much different than stock. There are a few vids of it in action on Bansheetube when I went on a couple group rides but no vids covering only it's performance. I will try to make one this summer. I have a few pics of it on my profile gallery.
  19. I hear ya. Except for my situation I might have a Calculus exam the following Monday.
  20. Well I pretty much got my 'shee set up for low end now. I know it lacks the top end revs but I really do like how it runs on the MX track. I can stick on a dirtbikes ass pretty well until they get to the woops and bigger tables and doubles. It can seriously keep up on the turns with the 4-pokes too. Believe it or not, alot of 4-poke MX riders are really impressed with how my 'shee runs with the low end. I am using a Trinity Stage IV head with 19cc domes (210 lbs compression), weiseco 795 pistons, Hotrods +4 stroker, Wildcard Racing aggressive trail and 4mil port (Brandon ported for as much low end as possible), Pro-Circuit Platinum Pipes and 304 silencers, V-Force 3 reed cages, 1/4 in. reed spacers (between reeds and port), Trinity Stage IV 2-in-1 intake with 33mm PWK, K&N filter pod, Dynatek FS CDI (curve 3), and Dynatek coil. I don't use a timing plate and don't have detonation problems. I run with at least 110 octane fuel but I try to get 112 if I can just to be on the safer side. I use Golden Spectro and mix at 40:1. For cooling I have a megaflow impeller, CV4 hoses, a PWR radiator, and use Engine Ice. I have no problems with it overheating either. I am using a Hinson complete 8-plate clutch system. I tried stock at first and seemed to slip here and there but no problems after the Hinson setup. Drag racing really sucks for this build though! lol. Before I did the build and went with high compression I could start out in 2nd gear with a 13/42 sprocket setup. Now I have a 15/42 sprocket setup and can't keep the front end down if I try to start off the line in 1st or 2nd. It just pops up really fast! So I gotta start in 3rd gear. Also the high compression fights off top end rpm's as well. It doesn't take much throttle to get the low end jump so I would suggest a thumb throttle. I did try a twist throttle but whenever I would hit a woop section or had a hard landing on the track I would get a little too much of a snappy response. I'm not saying it's impossible to run with a twist throttle but it would require alot of practice. The thumb throttle works great for me. Pretty much this is my "product review" on a high compression 'shee. I know I should change the reed cages since I won't be using much advantage of the top end gains from the V-Force 3's, so what would be a good reed cage for low end?
  21. I might be able to go. You gonna actually gas it on the jumps this time jugriggs?
