  1. Maybe none, maybe go up a size. T-5's should flow more on the top end. I'd put the pipes on and do a plug chop.
  2. Ok, I've decided on the Keihin PWK series carbs. Now I'm just trying to locate a good deal on a set and some intakes. You guys think I should go with 33's or 35's? My goal is to run these carbs on my ported stock stroke motor for now, and go to a 4mil crank eventually, so I only want to buy one set of carbs. I know the bigger the carb your bottom end will suffer slightly, but will 35's make more power on top than 33's? I'm up here at high elevation where I need to flow a lot of air so I'm thinkin 35's would work, just don't want it to be a dog. If I go 33's can I have them bored when I go to a 4mil? How much can they be bored? Thanks Greg
  3. Where can you buy the shift pro kit?
  4. Thanks man, I'll do that.
  5. Thanks guys. I looked those up, seem a tad spendy for what I want to do right now. Bigred's bike is sure nice with the anti vibe stem and raised bars on it though!!! You don't get much rough feedback at all in the dunes or dirt. Is there any kind of anti vibe handle bar mount I can put on the stock stem, or any tips or tricks that are cheap?
  6. Thanks, who makes stems, Lonestar? What sites can I buy one on?
  7. Where can I find this? Thanks, Greg
  8. Wow, sounds like you should learn how to ride!!! Take a class or something man LOL. Just kidding dude, that sucks. Shees are tough but dayum
  9. That sucks man. You need to move out here where you can ride your quad on the streets all legal like.
  10. I'll take them Eric, Pm'd you again. Thanks, Greg

  12. I have 3 coils cut off my springs and it made a huge difference in the stiffness of the thumb throttle. Did you put a new throttle cable on with the tors delete? Did you lube it? You know they don't come pre-lubed right? I would soak the cable down inside with lube and clip another round off the springs. Should make a big difference.
  13. Are you sure you installed the idle screws correctly, and are you sure you installed the slides in the carbs correctly (not mixed up from side to side or rotated incorrectly)? The slides have a notch on the outside of them where the idle screws go. Take your filters off and look in the carbs and make sure the screws are sitting in the notch, after you have verified that the slides are in the correct carbs. This will tell you that the slide is clocked properly and is where it needs to be. Sounds like you need to continue to dial in both screws until you get it to idle. Start with the screws all the way out, make sure the slides are the same height, and go in with the screws from there. 250 jets sound like they would be close for your mods, maybe a little lean though. First thing after you get it to idle, don't ride it! Get a new set of plugs and do a plug chop, don't go playin on it until you get the jetting right. Also go over everything and double check your intakes, tighten the carb clamps, etc to make SURE you don't have any air leaks. You need to triple check everything when you have the motor apart. Another thing, make sure the crossover tube is in place on the carbs. Also, throw that boost bottle over the hill before it cracks your intake boots.
  14. What plug chop procedure are you using? And yes, I would say you could have your jetting spot on or even a little rich but if your bowls run dry when you hold it open for long periods of time, you could be going lean. Do you have a pingle?
  15. Pour it into a glass jar, and pour some straight gas into a glass jar and compare the colors. Castor 927 is a lot like Amsoil interceptor. It's really light and hard to tell if it's mixed when looking in the jug. Other oils give the gas a dark green or bluish tint but the castor oil is brown so it's harder to see. The mixed oil should look brown and straight race gas will be almost clear. Hope that helps.
  16. Can you estimate shipping to 82009. Sending PM...
  17. I've got a set of FMF Golds I'm selling for cheap. PM me if interested.
  18. I can do 150 shipped on them for HQ members. Just shoot me a PM if your interested.
  19. I started out wanting a Raptor 700R (hated the 660's but when the 700 came out I wanted one immediately). I went and rode an 06 at the dealer, but the only way I could swing it is to trade my 05 Suzuki King Quad 700 4x4 for it, and add a little cash. I really didn't want to do that because I wanted to keep the 700, plus get a sport quad. Have had a lot of good times on the 700 4x4 and even took it to the dunes last year, only problem was all my friends have sport quads so I needed something that would keep up, most of the ride YFZ450's. Was getting a tax return and some other money so I had about 3K give or take 500 to spend and started looking for a sport quad in that price range, so I could just pay cash and keep my 4x4. Was set on finding a YFZ in that price range even if it needed work, but started talking to some people and decided I would look for a banshee. There was a wanted ad on www.dunereview.com and this guys says his friend has a banshee he wants to sell and will let it go for 2K. I called the guys number and he still had it. Went down and rode it, started up first kick and ran great. Was an 02 with nothing but FMF pipes, and this guy takes really good care of his stuff I can tell. I gave the guy a deposit, come back the next day and pay him the rest and pick her up. I'm a gearhead so I immediately wanted to start doin some mods to it. Hooked up with bigred350x from dune review and he's been showin me the ropes. Fun ride so far! Can't wait to get the porting and bigger carbs, just a couple weeks!!!
  20. Mine are cut down about 3 1/2 coils. Helped a lot with the stiffness of the stock thumb throttle. I HATED it before, now it's actually bareable. Go for it!!!
  21. Very happy with my NOSS head. Good quality product for sure.
  22. Should do the trick. You'll have to go with extremes if you want to run 9 paddles in anything taller than 20" 21x12x8 9 paddle extremes is a good tire. That's probably what I'll go with after I get ported and round up some extra cash to throw at tires. For now it's 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers for me.
  23. I would clean your air filters
  24. I'm with Daj on this one. 9 paddle haulers on your stock swinger. Should work good with a +4 swinger if you like to drag race. Won't hook super hard out of the hole but will keep your top end. If you like to do short races or technical hill climbs a 10paddle wouldn't be too much. The resistance will hurt your top end a little but if you run a 22" paddle it will ballon out and give you a little overdrive. JMO
  25. Retarding it can help it on the top end, it will kill the bottom but make it pull on top. The stock box does that already, advances on the bottom and pulls out timing on the top, but you can take it even further by retarding it on the plate. A Dyna FS programmable is ultimate if you really want to take advantage of that though, IMO.
