  1. Does the one that's needed to replace the swingarm crap roller mount with a bolt? Anyone have a link to it? I seen one on RMATV that was the TM design and called a powerlip roller.
  2. More specifically, is it necessary to have the round plastic protector that slides onto the swing arm where the swing arm pivots? Apparently I've lost it during the rebuild. The old one was pretty beat up anyway but if it's not needed then I won't use one anyway. What else to do you guys use for chain guards? Thanks
  3. KY works good.
  4. For $30/12 oz aerosol can it should be bullet proof!
  5. Been looking around and can't see specifically which grips will fit onto 1 1/8" bars. Can you guys give me some direction? Thanks
  6. It will be seeing mostly trails and 3-4 trips to the dunes. Fenders in front will be cut but not the rear. Didn't know if there were any useless gussets and stuff on there that could be done away with.
  7. Figured since i have it all apart I'd ask what brackets, mounts, etc. can be removed/cut off to make the frame cleaner looking.
  8. Thank you. That's what I was looking for.
  9. I keep trying to read what I can about the over ride trans but I have not found out exactly how it works. How does the shifting work with them? What does the 1-5, duneable, blah, blah technical stuff mean? Are you still required to pull the clutch to shift or it eliminating that? Thanks in advance for enlightening me on this.
  10. Well, my friend has been calling around and has been able to find someone do it for $10/wheel. He was told also that the bead was the hardest part. I think the $10 was just to remove it though. I guess the guy use to do motorcycle wheels and has a smaller tire machine. I have 2 sets (8) wheels total I am going to be powder coating so after I get them off I don't want to beat them all up using pry bars. If I do it myself I was just going to start up the backhoe and use the arm to break the beads. I don't think the backhoe will have a problem with that.
  11. So what do you guys usually use to dis-mount/mount your tires onto your rims? Called a guy at the local bike shop and he said it has to be done by hand because there are very few places that have tire machines small enough for the banshee rims. And for $20/tire, I can do that myself with a set of tire spoons. Or was that guy full of BS? Thanks
  12. Payment has been sent.
  13. You should have asked if anyone knew any special tricks to getting the whole axle assembly apart. So I'll ask. How many have had their axles permantely stuck to the splined rear sprocket hub? Did you ever get them apart? Seeing how he's already put over 15,000 lbs of pressure trying to press his axle out, I don't think he's going to get it, hence the reason he's asking about all the other parts
  14. I've been researching this a little bit. It takes roughly 1lb of powder to do a frame. 1lb of powder equals 2-3 cans of spray paint (coverage). Powder is around $10-12/lb. I've called a couple places for powder coating and it is around $200-$250 for an ATV frame. If you don't have the equipment and don't plan on doing a lot of powder coating, have it done professionally. I also seen in Columbia Coatings that they have a propane IR heater to cure parts. Basically it is a 2 burner Mr. Heater. Not sure how that works but would cost about the same amount as having your frame done professionally. Just some FYI.
  15. I just wanted to know roughly how long a new top end lasts (hours) before needing to be rebuilt again, given it was broken in correctly?
  16. Anyone have any pictures of bikes with a black/silver reflective PC job such as a black chrome or metallic anthracite? I've also thought about a silver/deep candy blue scheme. As soon as I get my oven done I'm going to get at this powder coating. If all goes will I'll be powder coating everything! If anyone has any ideas that would stand out or have pictures post them please. Preferably the black/silver or silver/blue color sceme. Thanks guys
  17. http://machinebuilders.net/plans/gallery%2...oat%20Oven1.pdf I came across this while trying to find a place that sells some type of heat resistant insulation for the one I'm building. Sure would have been nice to see this earlier. Mines turning out ok though.
  18. A friend and I just got ourselves a couple Banshees to ride this rear. Leota was one of the first places we were going to go. We are tearing them apart and rebuilding right now. Should be ready to go by mid March. I think it would be fun to get together for a ride with some of the members on here.
  19. Obviously a drag port is for drag, dune for dune, etc. but what makes them different from one another? Are there differences between shapes of ports, sizes, etc? I plan on having my cylinders ported for trail with a 4mil crank but didn't know if I want something more agressive than that.
  20. Wow! This is only 5 mins from my house. Might be fun to just go check out.
  21. In order to run around the trails here and dunes you need a spark arrestor. I have Fat Boy silencers and want to know if anyone has found a spark arrestor to work with them? I know I can buy some FMF silencers and make an extension to work with the PT pipes but since I already have the Fat Boys, I wanted to see if I could find a silencer to clamp on, unless they are too retrictive. Thanks
  22. Yea, good thing I asked. I hadn't seen any pictures of them. I didn't want to add raptor styling to a Banshee and look like the wanna be raptor retard!
  23. They cost to much for me right now. In time maybe, providing I don't have a wife and kids that suck me into the black hole!
