  1. I'm trying to circle back around to my YFRZ I left off on a couple years ago and just don't see me having the time to fab up a custom set of pipes. I know there's the option of modifying current market pipes but rather not go that route. I thought I came across a place on the western side of Michigan a while back but can't find it. I think it was around $700 then. Trying to justify that versus the cost of a slip roller, paying to have them TIG welded, and my time for all the calculating and fabricating. So, anyone know of any good pipe builders in this state?
  2. That should have been RZ topends.

  3. There are that many others putting the RZ ripens on a banshee motor and putting them in the yrz frame?? If so I need to look at those. Im hung up on building pipes to fit. I have the specs of a 3good stage pipe designed, just haven't done it yet cause its going to take 20+ hrs to build.

  4. Thanks. I don't get on here much anymore but occasionally check now and then. Rode my ride once and started tinkering with it some more and then moved onto something else. I have a friend that continues to hound me about finishing it for good so eventually I'll get around to finishing it. Still one of a kind I think.

  5. It runs on 220. With all four burners and bottom burner it will pull 30 amps.
  6. I moved to another house and don't feel like toting this along. I built it in winter of '08. I've done 3 whole banshees, my YFRZ project, and several other odds and ends. There was some wiring running through the holes in the aluminum in the bottom for the bottom burner that needs to be fixed. All the wiring and controls works as soon as the short is addressed. It just pops the breaker right now. I had a piece from my last project fall on the burner and bend it. The bottom is a piece of drywall. The inside is aluminum flashing with heat resistant mineral wool insulation separating the outside wood panels. With all the burners going it will get up to 550*. The door catches at the ride side when closing. Been like that since I built it. Everything's held up on it so far. This was my first one. The next one I'll make differently. It cost me about $350 to build this. Inside dimensions are 28" x 28" x 76". For sale for $150 firm. Local pick-up. I'm located in Rochester Hills, MI.
  7. Are you referring to a battery eliminator? I kept my banshee stator with the DC conversion done just in case I am able to go back someday. It's good to know you got yours working with the banshee stator.
  8. Got it. Thanks Stator sold pending payment to J-madd
  9. I'd do it for the right price
  10. Here's some added pictures of the pipes. It's difficult to get a good picture of them. Now I'm exposing my pipe hack job The next ones will be much better. And a short video clip from this afternoon. Hope it works.
  11. Here's the other pictures. I forgot I had cut the connector off the banshee CDI. Just needs to be wired back on. $45 shipped for the CDI now.
  12. As of right now, absolutely! Now would I build another YFRZ, probably not. Unless it became my only hobby. So far I really like the smooth power delivery and despite what people say, I didn't think it was much more difficult building an RZ motor than a banshee. You swap on different cylinders, mount a servo, and modify pipes. My friend is already thinking about doing this to his banshee now which I'm sure would be much easier now that I've got the bugs worked out.
  13. Honestly, can't remember exactly. Something to do with wanting to use the 250R caliper so I think I had to get the 250R carrier and caliper bracket to match the mounting points of the caliper. I still need to make some bushings to get the caliper to align correctly with the disc though. Then I used YFZ bearings in the carrier to accept the YFZ axle. Get's confusing. I researched it and asked around. There was probably an easier way.
  14. Prices are with shipping included. I'll add pictures of the CDI's and flywheel later. I purchased all parts recently to help trouble shoot my YFRZ project. All parts are fully functional. My paypal is oddball64@hotmail.com Stator from a '95 banshe w/pickup- $60 CDI from a '95 banshee- $50 Flywheel from an '03 banshee- $60 YFZ450 CDI ('04)- $15 Ricky Stator timing plate- $25
  15. LOL! Head turner for sure! We were riding at Bull Gap this last weekend in between the down pours and it was funny watching people eye ball the thing. Just makes me wonder what they're thinking when they do a second look at it. I think that will be the best of it all. Especially at the dunes when I pull up to the strip. "Oh yea, so you think your 4 stroke is fast, eh? Well I got somethin' for ya."
  16. Right now I'm guessing around 72-74 hp. Jim at passion said with my setup, his porting, and some higher end pipes than Pro Circuits I should be able to hit 80-82 hp. It's no where near tuned yet. Over the winter I'm going to build some good pipes made to compliment the porting and then run it on a dyno. Next year I'll be ready by April. I hope.
  17. Sent ya a PM for the zeeltronic stuff. As for power delivery....smooth. I adjusted the powervalve settings and you don't have that super hard hit of 70 some hp, unless of course I want it. Then I just need to plug in the programmer
  18. I'll make you a deal loco. You send me some good pics of your new girl and I'll send you some pics of my pipes  The pipes aren't that great. Honestly, if you're going to make some fit then start from scratch. I think it would have been easier to figure out the geometry and cut each section than hack up those pro circuits and make the bends that I had fit. As for getting the RZ parts, ebay man. All ebay. I got a steal on the cylinders way back in September last year for $150 shipped. On first bore with powervalves. Then the servo motor for $45 which you can also use the R1 or R6 servo motor. Same thing but forgot which bike it's from. Then I got the stator and flywheel recently for $112 that's in great shape. I used the YFZ regulator from the rolling chassis I built. I have very few new parts. Mostly all used from ebay but I cleaned them up. Polished all the parts myself. I'll see about getting some video this weekend before I clean it. There's a couple girls I know and I think I can out do loco on his posing pics, I hope You'll all be wiping up more than drool.
  19. Don't think I'll be running an eliminator. The battery is very small and doesn't weigh much of anything. As for motor, most all the mods are listed in my sig. Wish I would have used an RZ stator to begin with.
  20. I kept most of my receipts but there are still a lot of odds and ends. I used a lot of parts from my previous banshee but with all this has I would guess around $7-8K. One day I started adding up all the engine mods and I started to get sick when I got to over $3500. But the time and headache, priceless. The next one would go much faster but don't want to put myself through that anytime soon. And to think I was going to build a sandrail from scratch. So far I'm happy with the results. Worth it? Absolutely, because it's different and gave me a challenge.
  21. HAha. yup, it can be done. Just have to fab a little bit and put "some time" into it. Like 150 hours or more. And rappies, ha, they are going to have to be some heavily modified raptors. Off throttle this thing does awsome launches. I haven't even tuned it yet. Check my post in the repair forum for "nearly finished" pictures. Just have a few tweaks but did ride it this last weekend.
