  1. Yes you are lean due these steps first and you will be happy with the perforamce. Step one Remove tors unit. - SEARCH ON HOW TO FIRST! Step two Rejet carbs to around 280 or 290 and adjust air screw about 1 and a half turns out Step Three take carb tops off and cut about 1 to 1and a half coils of each side then replace or lube cable it'll free up then Step Four Stay with dual carbs and toomeys thats how the bike was designed, you want a single pipe and single carb get a 450r or something Step Five im going to say add a timing plate, for 50 bucks a nice billet one. best money you ever spent. this is the information you need how tos can be found for every step on this forum if you search a little bit.

  3. umm...pretty much fooked i believe, take it to a shop or leave it alone. probably ganna need a new flywheel at aleast if you welded the puller to the fly wheel
  4. been covered 100 times, try searching, in short give you some extra low end grunt due to the firing before the piston reaches TDC, which will inturn raise the operating temprature of the motor. ta da!
  5. dont honoestly know about the backfiring, but since the engines already down paying 35 for a timing plates not a bad option since its not really that much more work, the +4 timing will give you some more low end grunt. any time after a rebuild you should re-jet and fine tune your idle to help the longevity of the new motor.

  8. cant help ya with the instructions but i do have this... you get what you pay for, you mise well do the job the right way and not be a cheap ass.
  9. sounds like a plan stan, if it were me id start with the needle all the way at the bottom(so the needles raised the most from seated) and adjust up to where i liked it. if your running in 30-50 degree weather no since in running lean.
  10. what loco said, ganna need a long punch or screw driver, it could be bent, my buddy had a bent one and we need the 10lb bfh to remove it. plus his swing arm was toast too....=\
  11. if it runs good stay with it, id probably be running a stock pilot or a 27.5 pilot, 30's a little big,and id bump the main jetting up to a 310 to be on the rich side. needle id say right about the middle or second from the bottom.
  12. have you checked the compression since the rebuild? let us know the PSI, have you cleaned the carbs and have you synced the carbs? have you tried fresh plugs? have you check to make sure your output of your stator?
  13. use the search button also it help to list your mods,IE*pipe,filter,elevation,temprature you plan on ridding in* but generally compression shouldnt change your jetting, when in doubt do a plug chop. also 155 to 160 run 100 octane or 110 or whatevers avalible, youll be board edge, just see how it runs, if it feel likes its pinging then try bumping down to 21cc domes, but truely 20s should be fine.

  17. youre just lean, turn you air idle screw in and go the opposite direction on your needle, get bigger mains too. its always better to be rich then to be lean.

  19. im running t6's on ported motor, and im about 230lbs, and my bike will keep even or slightly pull my buddys bike thats ported with t5's....all be it iv got a timing plate and am running 20cc domes while hes running 21's, really i dont see a big diffrence in the pipes, his bike feels exactly like mine...=\
  20. ill be good to go asoon as i put my bike back together, just got the frame from the powdercoaters, when i went to waynoka on january 2 and 3rd i had a bad low end bog from like idle to quarter throttle i think its just cause it was like 40 degrees outside and i was lean, hoping thats the case anyways...
