  1. which way on the needle?? all i have is a dek.. i can't imagine it running any better.. i am on the third clip down from the top of the needle.. when i put the eek in(from the dej) it was night and day difference.. its a rocket.. i can't see why anyone would not like the 2 in 1 setup.. easy to rejet, more room, no syncing either.. its perfect for me.. do you still run one?

  3. hey guys i put the eek needle in on the 3rd clip, 48 pilot 1.5 turns on airscrew and a 165 main.. man what a difference. it starts on the first kick now with no choke.. it also rips hard with no hesitation.. props to snopz.. appreciate the help on the jetting.. it use to be hard to start, had hesitation, and the throttle was not crisp either.. i love the 2 into 1 now.. not gonna look back.. anybody wanna buy some stockers? lol kiddin..

  5. if you bought a new ricky stator dont count on it being good because it is new.. just my .02
  6. hey man i would try a new set of plugs.. it could be as simple as a bad plug.. spark plugs will still spark outside the cylinder when they are bad, but when they are in the motor under compression they will not fire.. i would try that since u are getting compression and fuel.. it may just be that easy.. let us know
  7. as weird as it may sound i am running a 155 main with the dej needle and it seems a little rich.. after i put my home ported jugss on it it runs even better.. maybe the numbers will all change when i change needls.. i will up the jet when i swap the needle out to be safe.. kinda start over on tuning it.. it has a sluggish 1/4 throttle right now.. i am thinking it is a little rich.. what do u think?
  8. i ordered a dek and a eek needle.. i have a dej in it now.. which should i try first the eek or dek?? which do u guys have better luck with?? i know that snop is good on these setups.. maybe he will chime in..
  9. never heard of this one?? i would say pull the clutch cover back off and the problem will probably be obvious.. its pretty simple on how it works.. i would pull the cover and recheck it.
  10. yea thats a lot of timing. what kind of hp u getting outta that motor??i am guessing at wot your timing was around 9 or so?
  11. ok race gas it is then.. what kind to use and how much is it?? i can easily get the 110 vp .. if i ran race gas can i go lower on my domes?? what wouldyou suggest my compression and timing to be at with race gas.. i know i am in a different world of tuning with a cub than a stocker.. thanks
  12. i have a stock cylinder banshee with 19cc domes and +5 timing running 93.. thats been my combo for years.. never a problem.. i will check the compression on my cub, bump it up 1 degree at a time and keep an eye on my plugs, when i see that i went to high i will back it off one.. hows that sound?
  13. so u think +6 or +7 would be too high for pump gas? i have heard they love timing.. does a lot of timing really wake up these motors?
  14. not sure.. i would say around 145.. would have to check.. its been a while.. been riding the other shee mostly(trail riding)
  15. i have a stock stroke 68mm cub.. it has 20cc domes, 33mm pwk's, vforce, cpi inframes.. i have heard everyone say that they love timing.. it runs good but i think it has a lot more potential.. i am currently running +4 timing.. whats the max i can go on 93 without melting down a piston?? or what do u guys run your timing at(pump gas)?? also what kind of hp should i get out of this motor?

  17. i wish i knew.. i have emailed them.. tomorrow if i can get time from my work i will give them a call.. i honestly have had bad experience with them.. maybe we can get it straightened out
  18. lol believe what u want to.. i have built many of these bike, own 3 at the moment, and have rode banshees for almost 10 years.. i do know a little about them.. but i am not one to come on here and act like a know it all either.
  19. i have had that problem .. i have heard that wet throrrle cables on banshees tend to stick.. i always hang my cables up and oil them and let them soak for an hour or so prior to instaling.. last longer and are smoother..
  20. anyone have a bad stock or ricky stator laying around?? would like to try to rewind one myself.. if anyone does let me know.. thanx
