  8. Portland Oregon here, just paid $60 for six passes...however clutch took a crap & only got 3.

  10. yep, its been checked over & over. Even opened & closed it some to see if that made any difference.
  11. I hadnt heard anything good about them lately either. I was pressed for time before a big ride so I bought it. I think i'll send my old one out & get it rewound & start with that... Thanks for the input, i'll keep ya posted.
  12. I have a 96 banshee with a stock cylindered 7mil. I bought this engine from a buddy who rode it twice & went bigger. He ran 8 degrees timing with no problems. I ran it at 8 for a weekend, but it was very hard to start, especially when warm. I thought the hard start may be a stator going bad so replaced it with a ricky stator. Its started right up but wont idle, kinda does a rev....rev....rev.... I talked to my builder & he's never seen this on a newer model. I swapped cdi boxes & also installed a new coil. I've bumped it back to 6 and have had no problems since, just doesnt have the power it did at 8. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas. I'm thinking about having my old stator rebuilt & trying that since it does seem that replacing the stator did change things, somewhat. Any input is appreciated.
  13. My buddies stator went out so we installed a ricky stator 200w. Since then its had a high rpm backfire. Has anyone encountered this? Is there anything else that needs to be installed with this stator? regulator or ? Its jetted right on, plugs look great, top end new last season, timing 4 degrees, lightened flywheel, t5's, v-force 3's... This just started happening after the stator. Any help is appreciated.
  14. I found out what was causing this today. It turned out that I had to bump my timing back. I'm not sure why, its run fine until I put a stator on, but it running awesome right now & i'm off to dunefest tomorrow, so i'm not gonna question it for a week!!! thanks for your help.
  15. I've been fighting a hard start at times & ocassional dieing at idle. I put a new stator on it tonight & it fired up perfect, but when it idles it starts sounding like its firing both cylinders at the same time, off idle it seems fine. Anyone encountered anything like this? any help is appreciated.
