  1. you need to check squish.. since the problem starte after you installed the head, sounds like squish is off, or compression is too high..
  2. it will make very little power off the pipe. and all of its power on the pipe.. that is the nature of 2 strokes, but it gets worse with drag porting... a builder can talk to you and get you the power delivery that you want.
  3. check and make sure all bases are covered.. make sure your flywheel key isn't sheared causing timing issues... i run 19cc domes and +5 timing on 93 pump gas no problems.. but im throwing a lot of fuel at it. my compression is about 160.. what plugs are you using??
  4. dam, i really didn't wanna take the cub to haspin.. but i guess i will.. lol.. J/K
  5. i would definately say detonation.. what size domes?? what is your timing at?? start by throwing more fuel and less timing at it.. get it safe, then start tuning it from there... check those plugs..
  6. drag port=no bottom end.. if you rode a drag ported motor you would understand... there are other ways to get great power and still have lowend power.... call and talk to a builder about what you want..
  7. not really sure.. i just run whatever.. and shift like a motherfucker!!
  8. ask loco or rippen to change it.. im sure they will..
  9. man, you should fab a banshee motor in that thing.. it can be done.. then you can have the best of both worlds.. its just a thought.. i would love to take on a prject like that..
  10. i am in also.. indybuck is a good guy.. he was one of the guys i rode with at the badlands trip, along with me, nate, and justin... we had a great time.. i would like to see your family member get the treatment they need, and for you to keep your shee... life can be tuff sometimes, and it is good to help people out that are in need.. so i am down for the benefit, and our prayers are with you bro..
  11. man, i am sure chase will make it right.. he has always been a stand up guy.. i have bought some stickers, and mugs from him.. they were delivered as promised.. i am sure he has had something happen or going on.. maybe someone has a contact number they could give you.. i am sure he will make it right.. like i said. he seems like a good guy to deal with,
  12. hey lynn.. im about an hour south of indiana.. but if you wanna go with me, i'll go knock on the door.. not gonna walk in like some str8 up gangster, but i will give the guy a chance to explain a little.. i have ben burned and i know how it feels.. JB is a kool cat. he always comes through on his end.. so i'll stand up for a stand up guy.. did u try calling him jb??
  13. lets start watching that weather forecast.. man we were sooo lucky on that last ride.. was like a summer day.. very good riding..
  14. i would put the clip in the middle.. if i remember right, the stock pilots are 25's.. your jetting sounds abour right.. i would put the clip in the middle.. adjusting needle settings makes a lot of difference in performance.
  15. think about it this way.. your cases are CAST aluminum.. a BILLET case saver is tronger than the cast aluminum... so which will break first????? the PLASTIC saver is the only way to go.. plus since they are plastic they bend a lot before they break.. so chances are if you throw a chain, all u need to do is put it back on and adjust..
  16. are you using t5 pipes with this motor??? if so.. that can be the problem... you need some cpi's or shearers.. i tried a set of t5's on my 392 cub.. it ran like shit.. what is your timing set at??? cubs love timing.. it really wakes them up.. i think i ended up at around +6 on my timing.. this bike likes to try and pull my arms outta socket!! lol
  17. its a everything bike.. trails, dune.. whatever.. lol.. its fun to ride.. not a full dedicated drag bike.. it has full suspension and a +2 swinger...
  18. its all good.. glad he is getting setup for what he needs.. putting the dunable overide and lockout on my cub was the best thing ever.. its funner to ride.. and a lot faster..
  19. i did my buddys when i had it apart. i haven't doen my cub motor YET.. but like dave said, its not worth tearing it dwn to just port match the cases.. next time i am in there for some reason i will cut it also.. here is a picture of my buddys that i cut.. its a sorry as picture but may help you. i did the same as dave, used the base gasket as a template, used a marker, then yanked out the ole dremel
  20. i would say that a racecu overide can not be backloaded. bt a dunable overide can.. both of these trannys do the same thing, wide open throttle, shifting without using the clutch.. a dunable cost a few bucks more, but is the only way to go.. a lockout goes on your clutch, it is for high HP bikes. it uses centrifugal force (it has weights on it) which lock the clutch plates together extremely tight as rpm increases.. it basically eliminates clutch slippage. hope that makes sense..
  21. pm sent jd.. let me know man.. no problem to help ya out.. your gonna love the dunable..
  22. im on the maybe list also.. gotta se what te weather holds.. hopefully it will be as nice as last time.. gonna break out the cub this time.
  23. well shit guys, didn't want this to turn into a heated discussion.. and nothing aimed torward you either dave. i had a hell of a time riding with you guys up there. and i am ready to go back.. looking forward to doing more riding with you guys..
  24. lol.. but they do hook like a mofo on just about anything... lol.. i like honda radials also.. lol
