Just hold the stator up outta the way, and set the new plate in. Just be careful tightening the screws, use blue locktite and snug em up. If you just tighten the shit outta them you wont like what happens then! -

you can buy 9 different brands and guess what, your gonna get 9 different readings. I bought one from mac tools, and whether its right or not, its still the only one i use, just so i know theres no variation.

Im with j-madd, definately sounds like the flywheel pushed the key out when it went on. and that gap on the pick ups a little close isnt it?

Take the slide bolt out, clean it up, and put a little grease on it. Its the one closest to the ground on your calipers. I just did this on mine. mine were bad enough that i had to sand them back smooth!

easy way to tell..... blaster has a nice big platform for little feet to go on where you put your foot. banshee doesnt.

Plus 18cc dome make enuff compression to cause the stock cast pistons to ejaculate all up in your precious stock bore cylinders!! (and i dont mean the good kind)

The trick is to never shut that bitch off!!! ride 24-7! in-flight fueling gets a bit messy tho.......

Yes, throttle wide open, petcock closed. you dont need fuel when you do it! make sure both plugs are out, and kill switch off. keep kicking it until the needle doesnt climb, and post your results!! by the way, if you start the bike and let it warm up before you do all this, you will get a more accurate reading.

it took me a few days to find someone with a 87-94 model bike, but when i did we started his, then unplugged his box, plugged mine in and his wouldnt run. plugged is back in and fired right up. Just like the clymers manual says, if you have tested the coil and the stator, the cdi is bad. -

Ok, i like the trail tech idea. But do i buy one spot, and one flood? or maybe 2 spots in the stock location, and add 2 floods with a handlebar mount later? I just wanna be able to ride at nite without flying over a dune!!

I am looking for a new set of headlights for my quad. When i bought it, the factory brackets had been cut off. I have had a set of cheap lights that mountet with a stud, so i am looking for some to use my existing hole, as i just got the frame PC'd. I am thinking lazer star, but am open to suggestions. Any pics or info would be appreciated!
