  1. I bought a shee for my wife and it had raptor shocks front and rear, she hated how high it sat, so i put my stock fronts on it, and paid way too much for a stock rear that turned out to be shit. so i need another rear.
  2. Get a coolhead from jeff at F.A.S.T. with whatever domes he recommends, set that timing plate to 4 degrees, and you should be over 45 hp for damn sure. I am making 58.93 to the rear tires with stock carbs, no porting. just vitos superstock pistons, CPI inframe drag pipes, timing plate at 4 degrees, and a coolhead with 20cc domes. and its on pump gas.
  3. I see my B.R.A.B.B. Club has gained a few members!! We need to have a meeting!!
  4. I need the bracket that bolts on with the steering stem that the rad cover screws to.
  5. I have one, I want a stock banshee shock for it. I have the fronts too.....
  6. the wolverine IS the governer!!!
  7. Turning the air screws only changes the mixture at idle, so thats not gonna make it get hot.
  8. Dupli-color wheel paint. that silver is damn close, and looks great! I have used it to touch up frames for a long time. available at any auto-parts store.
  9. pull those float needles out, if they have a groove wore around the little rubber tip where they stick in the hole then thats your culprit. I fought a pair a while back, and no float setting in the world is gonna cure a needle that cant seal.
  10. Where you ride Blnted? I go below the keystone dam mostly for now trying to dial in 4 different banshees in my group. Just getting ready for another sahara trip
  11. so if it is your stator or cdi, one from 98-to present will work for ya.
  12. I see in your pic u have positive offset wheels, that may have a little to do with it. And check that rotor to make sure its not bent.
  13. Out of the 100 million banshee's yamaha produced, there have been about 5 that needed a coil. Just kidding, I would get a clymers manual, and check your pick-up coil on the stator, then you can check the ohms on the coil. And if all that checks out, you need a CDI. Ricky Stator sells em for $125 bucks. Jeff at F.A.S.T can prolly hook you up too. What year is your bike? the plug changed some over the years. I just went through this with my wifes 94 'shee.
  14. There is a guy on here who has all the pics from start to finish, plus vids of it running. I believe he modified a set of DG pipes and made them work, I will try and find a link to it.
  15. yea, 89 banshee was the only year with the same bolt pattern front and rear. we put 4 fronts on one once for shits and giggles, and to our amazement it didnt hook up for shit! go figure! we get bored easy round here when everything is running right.
  16. Yea, we are definately in agreeance on the long ass swingarm. And yea, I believe some gussets will be needed. But that would be a pretty scary ride with cable operated brakes that do good to even SLOW a stock blaster! We are just gonna gather up bits and pieces and make it a winter project. And that yz400 blaster is yellow right? if so it was in readers rides in dirt wheels a few months back.
  17. I believe its a some version of a FCR. And also, it has a vacuum valve for the fuel shutoff right? its supposed to only flow fuel when it has vacuum to it, so make sure that hose is connected properly. Hopefully, that points you in the righ direction.
  18. A little wheelbearing grease on the drillbit wil hold most of the shavings, just a little tip....
  19. OUCH! hope you didnt eat too much gravel! I have never seen one snap, just bent.
  20. that second set of holes looks like yamaha bolt pattern, i think one is 115mm, and the honda is 110mm, but I may have that backwards....
  21. if the needle valves on the float are wore out it will leak, which vent are they leaking from?
  22. nope, theres about 1/16 of an inch difference, and dont just hog out the holes and make em fit, you will be sitting in the emergency room waiting for the to sew your ass back on after your wheel falls off. I re-drilled and extra set of yamaha holes in my extr wheels so my spare paddles fit just about anything. Maybe someone on here will send you a template to drill em.
  23. you mite as well get that standard cable ready, you just jinxed yourself!
  24. LOL, what if I email you a waiver to sign? im just brain stormin. be cool to restore the bike and ride it to work and stuff. people get behind me and smell a little castor 927, mite convert people back to 2 stroke!
  25. Just bought a 1971 Suzuki T500. Its a aircooled 2 cylinder 2 stroke. Bike is not complete, but motor and everything it needs to run are there. Also have a extra blaster rolling chassis laying around. Stay tuned for pics of "franken-blaster" LOL. anybody know about these bikes?
