Banshee HQ trip to Badlands in Attica, IN
dragbanshee replied to JasonsBanshee's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Thats 2 days before my Birthday, I'll prolly make it, here's the ride we put together last summer you guys missed. http://www.bansheetube.com/user_video_detail.php?mId=7419 If you dont have paddles, its not worth buying them for the trip, but if you have them and you like to drag race, then bring them. The sand is about the only place to race, it's a pretty good time. Need to check and see if thier times change back to longer days, we only had from 9-5 to ride, they change hours, but don't know when. -
Thats a good deal and ready to g  .

I say we go to your gramps in Kentucky, lol. I may be down for that ride, we'll see as time nears. -
I think your right, the helmet would be a better mounting location. I also got one for xmas and tried it on the helmet, works out great. Mines the gopro hero and it came with the helmet attachment. It has a 160-180 degree lense so I mounted it on top or else it would prolly get the front of my helmet on recording.

I have been using the Prestone extended life.

I noticed the one side was way back, couldn't figure out how that could happen. Some just bolt up different I guess. Then again, how could that have been back that far with it being bolted to the peg?
-
I have heard this before, man those must be some cheap ass taps their giving out with those kits, do you use any type of oil?
-
I think the PWK's preferred over the mikunis. I have the mods your getting but with the t5s and keihin knock offs 30mm and instantly noticed the quicker throttle responce. Now I have pods and would never go back, the thing halls for a bolt on.

Lead carpenter in new construction and rennovations,....Time for change!

Your wheels look fine with your fenders, its mainly the nerfs thats throwing you off. My nerfs looked like they were off on my bike, it use to bug the shit out of me. I really think its the different manufactures of the nerfs depending on how even they are. I know most of you realize the banshee has a offset in the lower frame between the a-arms and the pegs, that may affect the way some of the nerfs look.

I think the air your hearing is the natural sound of the air being sucked into your box, intake, carbs. It could be lean or it could be rich, Its all up to you to figure out, but I think in your case, you would be better off taking it to a dealer.

Thanks I'll check em out.

Well I can tell ya right now, with that port work your top end will suffer tremendously. This is all due to the fact that I WANT those pipes badly, you dogg! If you don't like em "DIBBS"

Good idea to drain the tank, never mix 2 different oils, I did that with my 1st banshee and it didn't go over so well. Take the hose off your tank petcock or your carburators T and use that hose or another to drain, use the reserve side.

You can take them both off, just do one at a time when you take it apart. This way if you get stuck, you'll have one to look off of. While your in there pull and clean the mains and the pilots. Before it happens, when you put your slides back in the carbs make sure you put the cut away part of the slides to the back of the bike. They will go in backwards so make sure cutout part of the round slide to the rear, hell they could be backwards now for all we know. Its a bitch to get the carbs back on with stock airbox. What I use to do is take the rubber boots off the box, put the carbs on and secure them, then flip the boots half way inside out. This makes them 1/2 the width and make sure you allready have your clamps on the box and the carbs, slide boot in place and flip the rubber back. It gets easier evertime you do it. One other thing, very IMPORTANT check the #s on the jets and write them down. You allways need to know what jets your running, so you will know which way to go next time you do a mod. Sounds like your on the right track now, just dont run it any more till you do these things . Good Luck!

MY FIRST BANSHEE......IDEAS OR TIPS?
dragbanshee replied to lambchop's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Basically the only guys getting rid of them are the ones that know nothing about them and aren't willing to learn, just want to ride with least amount of maintenance. After you ride one, its hard to walk away from it. You will have a blast with it, guaranteed!   I have owned 4 stroke, banshee, 4 stroke, banshee, 4 stroke,4 stroke, banshee and now a rhino and a banshee, I love my banshee! It all depends on what kind of riding you want to do. With a few bolt on mods the shee can pretty much hold its own in drags and flat track, thats the only thing I want it for. Well, I do like to trail ride also but not racing through them. -
You can guess at it as long as you want, but untill you start acting on what we're trying to tell you, you'll never get it fixed. Just keep runnin it and guessing, pretty soon you'll be lookin in the for sale! trying to find new juggs. Its prolly an easy fix either way, if you would just put some of your useless guessing time into actual hands on time. :: You really need to get a manual, cause your going to need it, or else you just wasted what you paid for the bike. Really should have gotten a 4 stroke.

We can thank Loco for his contribution. lol
