  2. I have had both o3 with t6s and have now a 97 with t5s exact same mods, the t6 banshee was really crisp low end with decent top end and the t5 banshee is not the greatest down low but, i know top end would walk away from t6s on my bikes. Not sure what the difference is.
  3. my 97 was doing same thing, my floats were way off and one pilot looked to be clogged.
  4. same noise i heard on my raptor, thouht it was the brake grinding on rotor turned out to be the bearings,no fun to get out once it welds everything together.
  5. running 32:1 yamalube 2r for now , just because thats all i could get at time. and plugs set at .030 and a lot of new plugs! up & down but not as low as 1/2 out or as high as 21/2 out, ill try it though. iv got a set br7es hot plugs think i otta try them? i have not checked comression maybe that fuel out the exuast is blowby, sure runs good if the rings are bad.
  6. for the hell of it i put clip back to 3rd groove, that leaned it to much. topend is running so good i think ill leave as is, but im not sure whats going on down bottom easy steady throttle cuts out, or atleast sounds like it, but responsive. always has oil at tips of my new toomies, hope this doesnt gum em up inside. needle back in 4th groove. what do you think ?
  7. thanks for the info! i just seen some pics of a real plug chop, and realized im being paranoid due to the fact that i ran for about 1/2 mile and checked my plugs the porcolin was pure white but, if would have done a plug chop i prolly would have found a brown ring down low.

  10. Reason for asking is toomey recomends their perfect jet kit wich contains 280s & needles, well i got mine from alba and im pretty sure the needles are the same but, not sure about jets. Done plug chop on low end & mid plugs look good ,topend ran about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile, plugs porcolen was pure white like its really lean, wasnt sure if one run was enough to turn porcolen colors. missing a little down low , runs super strong midrange & top with no cuttin out or backbackfire 'pulls really hard'. Im about 850 asl K&N stock airbox 8 1 inch holes with filters boysen pro reeds needles 4 groove rich 25 pilots Toomey T5s 14&40 gears 1997 just purchased it, not sure may have adjustable timing plate.Iinstalled pipes & jetting new. Wondering if my jets are smaller than dynojets 280. Thanks for any input or recomendations.
  11. misprint, i meant to say i think its running rich instead of lean.
  12. just put on new t5s & alba 280 mains alba needles 3rd notch 25 pilots airscrew 2 out new plugs at about 800 asl. starts up great and will idle, but boggs & loads up to 3/4 throttle then it revs out fine once the rs are up. i tried the choke trick and it worked, letting me know its lean i think. anyway i moved the clip from 4 to 3 and airscrew from 11/2 to 2 out not sure if it helped, didnt hurt! had 03 when new with same set up but t6s ran great. oh yea i forgot i boysen pro reeds on stock cages. Help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
