Rebuilding my clutch basket and found that paper gasket/shim between gear and basket is shot.
Where can I get one or what would be a good .020" sheet material to make one out of? I have a CAD/CAM router and have the part digitized and ready to go. I was thinking
just a piece of 2024-T3 aluminum.
Any thoughts?
DMC 916 pipes, Cool head with 20cc domes. nice dune port and a cheap set of 30mm OKO power jet carbs is what I run and love the setup for woods riding.
I just pulled up the CAD file I made when I ported my cylinders. Exhaust port was raised 1.5mm and I did a
staggered transfer port job. mains at +1mm secondary's at +.5mm and boost at zero. I think this is why I'm
only getting 125psi with fresh pistons and a .020 shaved head. I'm going to guess I'll be at around 148PSI
with the 20cc domes, I hope.
You won't find a set of piped with a wider power band and from a distance they sound like an R6
I have run 916s for 12 years and love them. the only drawback from these pipes is that there is
no room for a rear number plate. If I had the money I'd buy for a spair.
Just picked up a Chariot shell and I'm torn between 21cc or 20cc domes. My cylinders sport a nice dune port job with a 1mm raised exhaust port and fresh wisecos. DMC pipes and 30mm PWKs Live in Columbus (750 ft) but ride in WV (1100 ft) I'm running a + 4 degree key. I'm at 125 PSI now (checked at 750 ft.) with a .020" milled stock head.
I would like to run 93 pump gas and would not mind mixing in a little (10% - 20%) E85 as I often do to adjust jetting.
Any input would be great.
Thanks all.
Anyone run the Mattoon basket with an 8 plate stack? Will the stock inner and PP work. I can't seem to get anyone from Mattoon to email me back.
I use the clutch a lot and can't stand stiff springs.
Nice overtime check comming this Friday. Looking for a nice cool head in black clear or red. I like the 1 pc design and need 21 or 20cc domes.
Also looking for a billet basket with bolts, back and bushings. Shoot me pics at biodieselfuel@hotmail.com
Thanks
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Shift® Racing ATF if you use your clutch a lot. Really controllable clutch feel no matter how hot you get it. The 10W is great in cold weather and puts more power to the ground.
Love this stuff.

Mud comes right off with just water and a rag. Once fully cured after 3-4 days the stuff is super hard. They sent me a sample rolled on a piece of card stock and I bent it 120 degrees before it flaked off.
If you get a deep scratch it will want to chip off like paint but it is super easy to touch up and blends right in. You could touch it up 100x and never know.
Scuffer with 180 and palm sander. Primed with Bull dog and shot on 1 heavy coat of black Monster liner.

I am told that the rear shock spring is a bit stiffer on a early Shee, say a 1990 or so, than the one on my 1999.
If so, anyone got an extra cause at 230 lbs she's sagging a little.
This is a nice kit. The springs were a little stiff at first. Nice feel. I ride a lot of rock faced hills and use the clutch a lot.
As for fluid I have allways run AMSOIL Synthetic Super Shift and soak the fibers overnight before install.
