  1. Ok, sounds like jb weld, it works for all metals. Ill give it a try. Thanks a lot man!
  2. Ya, I stopped before it hit otherside. Whats mangasteel? Ill google it. Jb weld work you think?
  3. The tap got thicker after the threads ended. I think it smashed the threads it just cut. So now the idle screw just slides in. I used the tap that came with the kit from motiin pro. I was trying to follow the directions in the how to article pinned here. It said to make sure the threads go all way into venturi. Well that screwed up the one side. On the other side I just tapped it till the threads on tap were at end of protrusion, and it fits perfect.
  4. Ok guys need some emergency help. U was doing idle screw part of tors removal and read the pinned how to on here. Well, trying to put threads all the way thru and the tap must have smashed them too. So now the screw just slides in.... What do I do? Fill hole with jb weld and re drill and tap, just not all the way in?
  5. If it ran when you sprayed gas in it sounds like its not getting fuel. Tors removal will help make jetting easier. Dont forget the actual tors box below tank on left. Good luck, keep us updated.
  6. It would be cool to have no doubt. Pull it out in 40sh years and show the grandkids. How cool would it be now to have an 83 atc 250 now.
  7. Are ur carbs functioning? Full petcock is on and gas in tank?
  8. I am working on removing mine now. Got all electrical figured, just need to do idle screws. Clutch side wire is not tors, but parking brake. I am removing mine, should be able to unplug from harness and clutch. It limits rev when parking brake is on.
  9. Someone did some good photoshop to put his head on my body.
  10. Its a 2005. Be different if they didnt get made at all, but just last year in states is not gonna make it worth anything.
  11. Im in utah and never been checked. As long as you are registered.
  12. U still have them for sale?
  13. Can I clip them at perch and at harness, tape off and be good, or do I need to do more than that? Thanks.
  14. I ride 90% dunes and use my brakes a lot. But I ride hard and never let off, sometimes u gotta stop fast. Both front and back in different situations. I don't race tho, I like to ride the dunes like its a soft mx track. And if u miss a gear climbing, Ull be glad u got the fronts when u got them gripped leaning over your bars so u don't roll.
  15. Great thanks. I think the one in the front brake is for the brake light... duh. Thanks again.. now on to idle kit!
  16. I've got the Tors part figured. Just trying to clean shit up while im in there with tank off and all.
  17. Ya, I've been reading. All just say unplug the box. Nothing about the wires to clutch and brake
  18. Cmon someone's gotta know about those two wires? Can they just be unplugged and silicone in the holes to the levers?
  19. Also what about the electrical wires going to the front brake lever and clutch lever? Can they be removed?? I'm keeping park brake for now.
  20. No one?
  21. Ok guys, I'm doing the tors removal. Got the carbs tops off, and unplugged from the wiring harness. And the throttle cable undone from the lever housing. Next q is, do I remove the wire going to the housing, and unplug it from the wire harness? And then which of the 2 boxes under the tank is the Tors box? And do I just tape all the loose electrical connections? Thanks guys.
  22. Just read they the posts in general discussion and repairs and mods. If ur not sure what a word is, type it in the search, if u don't find anything then ask what it is in the thread you found it. More than likely you will find more info that will put u on something else. It's like looking at YouTube vids and looking at related, can get lost forever.
  23. Pretty much monitor threads all day from my phone. I have a short attention span, and get bored with one thing easily. Working and this help focus. Hell I can't even watch a movie without reading on here.
