are spark arrestors required? if so do they enforce it?
-
wow, sounds adventurous. definately make sure i pack that then. thanks for the tip! im getting pretty excited to go. too hot to ride here for a couple months. hows the temp there during july?
-
damn, must be nice to have so many choices. we got one choice here, little sahara. why do i need a gps? the dunes that big? im running cpi inframes, are spark arrestors required there? thanks guys!
-
wheres the dunes everyone is always talkin about? my father in law lives in oregon city, and we are going to be making a trip up this summer and i was thinking of bringing the shee and wifey trailblazer. what city is the closest to the main dunes? and there any weird rules, visitor atv registration? thanks for all info.

zillas are not joke. my main riding buddy has one with pipe, filter, and an aggressive dune port, hell smoke ported shees all day. can keep up with most 4mills too. plus hes got the low end to ride wheelies all day thru the dunes.

what is everyone using for sparkies on CPI inframes
Banshee Chad replied to Darthwall's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
i cut my stock silencers just after the female end (bout 3/4 and inch in) and just got a longer piece of high heat silicon hose to connect the little gap. works pretty well for the sometimes i roll in forest service territory. throw the cip ones back on for the dunes and desert. -
Ill be there the 24th thru the 26th. Staying at oasis (if its not full) therwise white sands. Proly cruise to sand mountain on sat sometime.

ok, my wifes bike is a 2006 polaris trailblazer. its a 250 2stroke automatic. the stock tires are 22 on rear and 23 on front. for the sand which we ride mostly, i need to know what size and what tires to run? i dont know if 22 or 20 is better for the sand for the rear? i was thinking sand stars, but wanted opinions, and if u have one, what u got and what works.

well, this past weekend i finally got my CPI's (thanks to Wildcard!) put on and took a trip to little sahara (utah). They are fantastic! and he was right on about the jetting. I painted them black with high heat paint, and polished the silencers. looked pretty good. But i guess you are supposed to cure the paint, the can didnt say anything about it, but my buddies told me i needed to after. after...... i went down and ran it around for a bit, the paint rubbed off on my pants and got all goey for a bit and sand stuck to it all over. so now its textured i guess, feels like sand paper Now i got to strip it and re-finish it. I also modified the stock silencers to mount up with the cpi expansion chambers for when i go to the mountains (easy fix for spark arrestors i thought) i just had to cut a bit off the stinger from the stock pipes and put some high heat hose to connect the 2, only just a 1/4 inch gap (opposite male/female ends), you dont think that will hurt anything do you, its just once in a while i roll in the mountains. thanks guys,

K guys, i finally got some pipes. Got cpi inframe, other than that my motor is stock, besides the snorkle being removed. Im at 5k feet for elevation. with the stock pipes im running 190 mains, what suggestions you guys got for the cpi's on mains, needle, etc. So far ive been told between 280-260, and maybe a clip change on the needle. just wanting to see if you guys would agree? right now they are bare, going to paint them black and trim the fenders just enough to clear them, within the next couple weeks. Thanks!

What about the wifes 2006 polaris trailblazer 250? its a 2stroke oil injected. its jetted at 130 mains, all stock too. owners manual says 130s for 0-40 degrees F. and 120 for over that. Sound right?? Thanks.

great, thanks! i thought i saw ur bike on ksl classifieds the other day. looks like u got someone copying ur style.

well guys, been awhile since i posted. mostly just been reading. but, my bike is completely stock(still have tors even, i know ill get shit for that). 2006 se yellow. during the summer (70-90f, I wont ride hotter than that, go to the mtns when its hotter than 90f) at ls utah i take the snorkel off and am runnin 190 mains. 3rd clip, and 2 screws out on air. its gonna be 45 this sunday and we are going down(grounds hard, dont even need the paddles, but there is snow and mud every where else). do i need to go to 200 mains or higher, or would i be ok if i slap the snorkel on? also im switching from yamalube to klotz, if i run 32:1 still do i need to make any changes? thanks guys! anyone else gonna be there?
-
what the hell kinda break lever was that? pretty cool i think, anyone know the brand, and if they make a clutch lever too?
-
06 yellow SE completely stock is what im rolling now. and have a 06 Polaris Trailblazer 250 2 stroke for the wifey, completely stock also. we are remodeling our entire house so mods are in the distance for us. We mostly ride LS, dell in the winter when i havent rode for a while. Im getting more and more away from the mountain riding. will go up to monte cristo and indian canyon in duchesne and ride some trails in the summer when its too hot for the dunes, and to look for deer in the fall. mountain riding gets old when you gotta clean your bike, with sand all you gotta do is rinse. I live out in magna, take toole way out to LS, flat drive, 2 hours, and no hills, only takes a tank to get there and back. where did you hear about this street legal shit? i know in some counties they dont mind like down along the piute trail. but i havent heard anything about a state wide thing.

Little Sahara or St. Anthony's 4 Labor Day
Banshee Chad replied to Tankinator06's topic in Sand Forum
I went saturday. dusk till dawn, it was hot, my shit was spitting coolant out front, dont know where from tho, i think it was from the hoses on the bottom of rad, i think i had too much in it. so i did a lot of watching most of the day, my buddy was shooting the left side on his zilla and doing pretty well. there definately some fast stuff down there. some of them 4 strokes are getting quick, but still aint touchin the shees! my 06 se is still 100% stock, i did take off the snorkle and go with 190 mains like slobanshee06 suggested. i definately need to scrape up some cash and get pipes, the stockers are all mid, no low or high. i want some good pipes and keep reading as much as possible on here trying to decide what to get. i dont wanna do any motor work yet, just pipes and filters and maybe reeds, just cant decide. i was at ls utah by the way, wifey took camera to vegas so no pics from me, anyone get some down there? -
pipes?? what are these? $60 bucks, dontlook too bad, anything better than stock?? Thanks guys!
-
Anyone know of any performance pipes for weed eaters. mines just a little 31 cc 2 stroke. thought it would be fun to pipe it. Ive seen kids riding around on these little gopeds with small 2 stroke motors and huge pipes.
-
would 180 mains help??
-
well, just went down again and its running a ton better, but still spitting some. i didnt remove the snorkle cuz when i took it off it looks like the tires will throw sand right into the opening if i turn at all. i didnt wanna screw anything up, Does it not cause a problem?? also like when im climbing sand mountain, right as i get to the top, it acts like its running rich and smokes alot, what could this be?? Thanks alot guys!
-
ok, ill get rid of the snorkle. and do the extra half a turn out on the air screws. Thank you! And for the floats, is it with the carb upside down or with it right side up like it was sitting in place?? Thanks!
-
well, i put in the 190's i had, and it seemed to stop spitting, it also idled and ran a hell of a lot better. went to LS here in utah and its Getting pretty warm, i think im gonna drop it down to 180's and see what happens. Checking the float levels, do i measure from the gasket to the top of the floats? if so that about 18mm, or should i be checking from where the gasket sits?? Thanks guys!

just reading my manual, and it says the standard setting is #200 main, 3rd groove on jet needle, and 2.0 turns out on pilot air screw. It says for over 32 degrees F and about 5k ft altitude, to run #190, 3rd groove, and 2.5turns out. i got a 190 main a 220 and 240 main with my bike, so if i just put in the 190, would that be good? Thanks,
-
will i hurt it if i go too small will it? or too big? Thanks again,
-
ok, thanks. so 180 mains, what about the other ones? should they be ok what they are? Thanks,
