  1. well, just got back from little sahara, great weekend. My bike apparently was spitting oil out the silencer. got done riding and back of bike had black splatters all over and the silencer tips were covered. also the spark plugs were black when i got back. im assuming the jetting is too big?? plan on heading down again in a couple weekends and would like to get it running better. Also when i first get into it itll bog down unless i get half throttle. I got a completely stock 2006 se. i know yall will suggest pipes and filters, timing, etc. but its gotta stay stock for this season. So i think stock it has 200 mains, what should i be running down there? 5000 ft elevation, and completely stock?? Thanks in advance, Chad

  3. ya, i dont need it to be the fastest thing out there, hell i gotta lot of catching up to do if i want to come close, and i aint got the money. So shee is staying stock, maybe get some pipes next spring. I do a lot of all around riding, proly 50/50 sand, mountains. so its fast enough for me, coming from a warrior its pretty fast. so with the plan of keeping it mostly stock, i figure the gains id get from running leaner, doesnt really matter a ton now. With the jetting being too rich, thats not gonna hurt anything will it?? Thanks.
  4. im mixing 24 to 1 like the manual says. i know most people are running 32 to 1 or less. but id rather give up a little power and rebuild less often. is the jetting too rich gonna hurt anything? i havent messed witht he jetting even, kept it completely stock. plus im not sure what to jet it at. our elevation changes so much from the dunes to the mountains, and i didnt wanna be messing with the jetting everytime i ride somewhere diff, or is that something i need to do? If so, i think ill get a tors removal kit while im into the carbs, and check my float levels. Thanks,
  5. So my banshee is pretty new still. Only got 5 rides on her. I figured it was time to change the plugs, well they were black as shit. put the new ones in and it seemed to run a lot better. Just wondering how often i should be changing them (my bike is completely stock 2006) Thanks guys!

  7. here in utah we have to register them every year, and pay taxes on it just like a car, have a stupid sticker that has to go on front and rear (some do one on each side), and its a new sticker every year. It was like $80 for my new 06. it will go down over the years and will bottom out about $40. I forgot to renew my warrior last spring and got a ticket, ticket was $100 and i had to register the thing first. just like a car ticket too, only had so much time or i woulda had a warrant. We got cops on atv's and side y sides every where here, any where you can think of taking a bike, better expect to see a cop. Out of staters have to get a temp tag to ride here too.
  8. I picked up some pj1 cleaner and the oil. shit, sprayed the cleaner on, let it set for an hour, and rinsed it off. Took out all the oil and dirt. did a damn good job, only had to spray once. Drying now, so ill see how the oil goes on tomorrow. you talking about a k&n clamp on? not a fan of k&n, they seem to let too much big stuff in. Seen to many friends running them on diesels and gas engine trucks and quads and they mess every thing up. i had one on my warrior and switched it back after i had to rebuild the top end cuz it got too much dirt in it (and yes, i cleaned it regularly), also had one in my s10, and made the computer give all sorts of weird readings, so i went back to paper one. I would like to run a paper filter with an un oiled foam sleeve, similar to what polaris puts in their trailblazer and sportsmans. Dont know if that would work well with the banshee or not, what you guys think?? Thanks alot guys, Chad
  9. ok. Ill definately get one. I got the tm design works chain guide when i got my rear skid from prm. Ill definately be getting one of the poly urethane ones, like you guys said they tend to give a little more than metal. Also thanks for the pic, now i understand what it does. Definately getting one! I saw that modquad one on your website F.A.S.T.(first place i looked), if everyone says the tm one is the best, ill proly go with it, dont wanna pinch pennies on something this important. Has anyone else had good luck witht he modquad ones? Thanks again guys!

  13. my bike is stock, i need to clean the air filter (stock foam one), i have a k&n recharge kit from my old truck. Can i use the cleaner and oil fo rthe foam filter, or should i go buy new shit specifically for foam?? Thanks,

  16. i used to live in washington terrace, then herriman, now magna. Im down for a trip soon as my knee gets better. Doc said i can ride in a couple weeks, but have to take it easy. hopefully i can ride decent over easter, may just have to do a bunch of watching.
  17. thanks guys. I think i decided against a rack, ill just get a nice camel back and use others racks. Thought about it and every time i go to the mountains on a long trip its with my parents (have sportsmans) and i can throw our coolers and gas on theirs. Thanks again guys.

  19. Im thinking i wanna get a rack for the shee. i 6pack rack alone i dont like cuz they stick out kinda far and either carry gas or a cooler. I dont want a huge rack, but i found this prm that is interesting. I got their skids for belly and swing arm and love them. RACK! I used to have a warrior with a rack that just hooked to the grab bar and put it on when i went to the mountains and off at the dunes, like this: clicky would this warrior one fit the grab bar?
  20. what changed from 04 as far as anything, but mostly the exhaust? ive been looking and most brands have 87-04, and 05-06 options for exhaust. I cant buy a new set and used ones are from older bike being switched to drags so they are ditching the reg pipes. Does it matter, is there really a difference? Thanks!

Dont have much money and i found someone selling a set of RT Performance Pipes, i emailed and he said they are a snowmobile pipe company that makes them, they bolt up in stock location instead of under the seat. Ive never heard of them and was wondering if anyone has? Also i found a set of fmf sst, they any good? I do about half and half sand and trail. I would really like something that increases low/mid with a nice enough top. My 2006 is completely stock, not even a parking brake block off :biggrin: Which of these two would be better, or any other ideas? i only got about $175 to spend(in middle of re-finishing whole house, and the dislocated knee i got a few weeks ago isnt helping, those ER and ambulance rides areexpensive!) I want to get something, so once my knee is 100% and i can ride, itll be a bit faster. Thanks in advance!

  25. why do i see some of you running leaded gas? what do you have done that would require that?
