  1. Jb self works well. I tapped mine in too far, had to fill and re drill and tap.. I taped the inside and filled from outside. Then take a curved file (fine) to the little that bulges in. Let it dry for a couple days to ensure its hard, since its only got air from the one side.
  2. Bitchin idea.. I'm wanting to relocate mine from the stock location. Im a look into this spot.
  3. Ya, mine sucks it back. Just leave overflow pretty empty.
  4. Thanks man, it works till I can get a diesel... Then I can get a bigger trailer.
  5. For sure true and weld. No question about that. Will do, depends on if the wife does her thing with her fam or not..
  6. I'm gonna wait to do port till it needs a top end. Not sure about labor day. More than likely I will get down tho.
  7. Here's a pic heading out. I'll post a couple more later, this ones from my phone.
  8. Well I finally got my bike tuned perfect I think. Went to ls Utah this past weekend, it was hot! But got some good ride time. My bike ran great, I love it. It's amazing what a difference it makes when its set up correct. It's a 2006 se, cpi inframes, k&n on pro flow plate and no lid. Tors removed, and running a 270 main jet, needle second clip from blunt end, and stock pilots. Thing pulls great all thru. Even my wife finally learned to ride a clutch and shift and such. Said "i want one of these"......
  9. Pipe heat is nothing. Just wear pants and don't touch em with gloves... They'll melt to it.
  10. Idk. But he said its just for show. Sitting next to a couple old Honda trail 90s. It was at plaza cycle.
  11. So went to get a new battery for my wifes trailblazer.. and in the service dept. There sits a brand new 06 se yellow just like mine (except mine has cpi pipes) Asked how much, said it wasn't for sale. Had a few old Honda trails sitting there too for display. I remember when I got mine in July 06, they only had 2 left. This must been the other one.
  12. I'm sure I will for a day. I usually go alone then, the wife doesn't like holiday weekends...too many people.
  13. Ahhh yeah.... Going this weekend! Friday to Sunday. Ain't been since Easter.
  14. That is Proly the biggest reason...ill eventually port. Soon as it blows.
  15. I've decided to keep the cpi pipes. They run good, and since I dune mostly... I'll keep em.
  16. For sure man, also gotta see how ur wildcard bike runs, might make me want to go that route.. I got my pipes from brandon, would have him do my port too. I'm going next weekend, camping at white sands.
  17. Ya, Im trying to decide. I like em, but it'll be a while till I can get it ported. And I may not, may just keep it stock for duning and mtns, and snag another already built mostly... They are soo cheap here on ksl I see em all the time for a couple grand... Idk. What to do.
  18. Let me keep thinking about it.. and ill get back to you guys. How do the t6's run? Got 06 uncut front fenders too? I think that's my biggest issue... I cut the fronts just enough to fit the cpi's. My cpi's are black you temp paint. No Chrome
  19. Range I mean main jet, needle jet, and idle. Do a pull where each would be the one working.
  20. Doesn't look bad. Take it a wide open run, kill when max out. Take wrench with and pull and look. Then do in each range and check if u can't tell by feel.
  21. If it helps... I'm at 5k feet asl. Cpi inframes, k&n no lid. Got a 270 main, needle one lean from center (towards blunt end) and stock pilots. I think it feels good. Plug chop... Eh. Did it once when bike was new, u can tell by looking down just as good, no need to cut imo. If they are brown when checked after wot, main is good. Needle and pilot go by feel.
  22. Alright. I'll just leave it. It's runs good and everything, goes where I want. Just was wondering about the 2 unused gears.
  23. I put my stock silencers with my cpi inframes. Doesn't really sound that much different and I it gives me forestry approval..
  24. Ya, I put the 13 on there before I got the pipes, when it was completely stock. I'll try switching back. For sure we need to, I'm jonesing big time..
  25. I do like how it runs. Just seems like a waste to have so many gears and not use them... I don't know tho. I did already trim my fenders for the cpi to fit..... I'll keep em, and just have the jugs ported to match em.
