  1. How is it top end, wide open throttle? Mine did that, and then when I got to the top it ran hard again. Mine was a jet, needle combo. I had the needle leaned one notch trying to compensate for the main being too big. Plus I was scared to get lean, bought this thing new...
  2. Ya, for dunes. When we gain a few more thousand feet in the mtns, ill run a 260. Havent been yet, proly easter be first run for me. Elevation isnt much diff going from magna to dunes. 270 should be perfect. Ran the 280 mid dec down there and it was good, but super cold, think it was 28 degrees the day we went.
  3. Well, I finally stopped being a girl and running my bike rich. Its been 3 yrs since new, and I finally leaned her perfect. Got Tors removed now too. And idle screw mishap fixed. So now I'm running a 270 main, stock pilot, and stock needle in the middle. Thinking ill go to a 260 in summer when its 90+degrees. Right now its 60 degrees. 5k feet elevation, stock bike with cpi inframes, and k&n with outer wear on proflow plate with no lid on box. Put on a TM designworks case saver, running a 13 tooth front socket. Stock dirt tires are almost new, and I got some 21 in sand haulers for the rear for dunes. Been running 280 mains and it bogged big in the middle till I got full throttle. But now with that 270 in its running sweet, all thru throttle range, no bog. Just thought is share as I'm happy as shit now, no more loading up on me on down shifts...
  4. Check pipes for blockage, and adjust the carbs. Thats a big deal.
  5. No expert on internals, but sound like a posibillity. What pipes u got? And any weird noises coming from motor? One side get hotter than the other? And have u repacked silencers if aftermarket?
  6. Ahh man, I had a feeling that was gonna be the correct thing to do.
  7. Anyone know about cutting the rest off?
  8. Aight, thanks man. Ill try to make something or modify that and print it out.
  9. Ok guys, I have a set of rear 8 inch wheels from a zilla. I am wanting to drill them out to fit my banshee. I was wanting to see if there was a bolt pattern I could print out and mark and drill. If not ill measure a hundred times and them drill. Also wanting to see if I could cut out the rest of the part that dont have the bolt holes. Ive seen wheels like that, with only a piece notched up for where the stud goes. But didnt know how heavy duty that would be, like could I still jump, these wheels got haulers on them, and are for dunes only.
  10. Ive been considering that. Anyone else do that, seems like even with the threads it would leak a little.. I mean even on the one I didnt have to fix, its still not a super snug fit.
  11. Sweet, just looked and I do, they were below springs, thought they were covering that joint fron cable to metal.
  12. Update.. Drilled the hole which I filled with jb weld, tapped it, and the threads hold. Works great, slides go up and down smoothly. New carb tops look sweet compared to the old tors ones. Now im working on getting cable adjusted. And with that... The part of the carb top where the cable goes in, should that be tight or is the fitting loose? the tube in the cable slides in the tube on the carb top which I use to adjust. But should I put some shrink tubing on it? It can just oull out, im afraid water could get in?
  13. I modified my stock silencers to run with my cpi inframes. When I go to mountains I need spark arrestors, had these and dont have to use ugly clamp ons. They will require modifying as the stockers have that mid pipe. I used high heat silicon hose to bridge gap after I cut stockers to align. But plan on welding some more pipe to them so they are perfect. I didnt notice any power diff, but my bike is stock other than the cpi and k&n with pro flow and no lid.
  14. Do the banshee ones not work well? I grab my lever and the fronts lock up..
  15. I get the little shit no one wants to answer again and again. But there are some genuine questions that never get opinions because it seems everyone is spending their time giving someone shit about the search. I use it, but mostly I am on here a couple hrs a day just reading posts and looking at pics. Im trying to learn as much as I can so if I ever have a prob I have a reference of a post I read and remember others ideas. Im not trying to stir shit, just asking people to help those that need it, dont waste time telling someone to use search, spend it answering a real question please. If no one helps those redundant ones, theyll eventually learn to use search or just read thru the topics..
  16. As far as the carbs overflowing, ull want to adjust the float height in the bowl. And agreed, get rid of the airbox lid, and get a clamp on filter and pro flow adapter plate.
  17. The little one thats barely sticking out controls the air to fuel mixture. Turn it out and it allows more air, turn it in and less air. It goes in conjunction with jetting. If ur just doing idle, than the one on top of tors box is correct. With the tors delete kit, u have to drill and tap a hole for a new screw to adjust idle since u remove the carb tops.
  18. I understand that some are redundant. But alot are not. Seems like people are more apt to answer with a use search answer than trying to be helpful. I read alot and dont post unless I really need help, and seems like I hardly get any... Its just hard when people need help and cant get it.
  19. People on this site used to want to help others. Seems like lately all anyone wants to do is say lose the booste bottle, tors, and 2 into 1. Not really much more help than than pointing out the search. I used to read on here a couple years before I bought my bike in 07, and people then answered every question posed. Whether it was a similar post or not. Not every bike and situation is the same and can be solved by the search. It gets u good info, and for those of us that just like to learn, its great. But if a post is new, please try to help. The more people we help and keep with the banshee brotherhood the better. But if people cant get help theyll sell and leave, if u dont like to help, ok, bit dont just suggest the search, makes us all look like douschebags..... Thats my rant.. Thanks for ignoring.........
  20. Well, just an update. Got the hole filled.. Looks like it should work, been reading alot about thread repair, and this seems like it will hold. Ill update again after I drill amd tap.
  21. Ok, gonna tape inside, fill with jb weld, let dry, drill and retap. It dont need a lot of extra bite, the threads catch, but not enough. So, if that dont hold, ill hit u up for those....
  22. Throttle over ride system. It is supposed to be a safety feature, cuts engine off if u let off throttle but carb slides stay open. Its a hassle to deal with the carb tops while jetting. My bikes pretty new so I never had issues. But some of the guys with older bikes have problems with them killing engine at incorrect time. So.. Im in process of removing mine, but ran in to an issue from drilling out the carb for idle screw. Have a thread about it. But yes, u can unhook them, sounds like its alread been done, just not finished off nicely.
  23. Ok, gonna try it soon, no better suggestions? Im sure this has happened to somone..
