  2. okay thanks man... i dont wanna sound dumb im new to banshees but what exactly is TORS i see it all the time and have no clue what it is.
  3. so i started to tear down my banshee last night and found two wires that werent connected to anything on the bottom of what i think is throttle bodies? they are the what my throttle cable hooks into to open up the carbs. one of the plugh is disconnected and zip tied up and the other had the zip tie break and ended up melting the plug on my pipe. if spomebody could let me know what these are and what i can do with them id appreciate it. i can take a pic of it and email it to you if that helps too
  4. okay thanks dude
  5. how did you end up getting out the swing arm bolt? im starting the tear down next week and am afraid that its gonna be tough getting out.. my bike is a 97 and im sure it hasnt been taken out yet lol
  6. hey guys i got a banshee a few weeks ago and it has a bad second gear, so while the motor is out of it i decided it would be good idea to do a complete tear down and paint the frame, swing arm, a arms, axel, rims, and anything else i can do. i was wondering if there are any common problems when tearing everything apart and putting together or problems some of you guys have had. i was also looking for some advice where to get tranny parts at a decent price, or anything else you guys think would do my banshee some good. right now i have full pro circuit pipes, barnett clutch (putting the stock prings back in) douglas rims, red bull graphics, nerf bars, renthal bars, trail tech head lights in stock mounting spot, and racing front fenders. im open to any advice from you guys, and any used parts that you have laying around i may need down the road??? thanks for the help!!!
  7. how much do ya think that will run me, im new to banshees and dont know my prices yet, and not to sound dumb but what exactly is the shift fork?
  8. by lighter clutch springs i meant lighter than the heavy duty barnett ones. the ones im looking at say that they are 10% stiffer than stock
  9. i was hoping it wasnt second gear because it just did it out of the blue, i figured since i could still put it into second gear and ride it wasnt bad. i thoght if it was second gear it wouldnt go in at all
  10. hey guys i just picked up my banshee a few weeks ago and need some help. when i went to trade the guy called and told me that it started to act up on him. he said that when you got into the powerband it would start to chatter. i thought this was the clutch sticking because of it being in a cold garage so i said to bring it down still. when i got it home i found out what he was talking about, but it was only in second gear. every other gear is very smooth and pulls hard. i also have a little trouble getting into neutral but thats no biggie. it has a barnett clutch in it and the heavy duty springs too. the clutch cable seems to be a little stretched out as well. i plan on putting lighter duty clutch springs in and a new clutch cable to see if this would help. i checked the oil and found no metal shavings in it at all. to get down to the question i wanted to know if some of you guys could help diagnose my problem..whether it being a bad second gear, a sticky clutch, the springs or the cable.
