Nobbies turn awesome.. they are just heavier. I think its a matter of finding right tire for bike/rider. The more ridges or nobbs you have of course the better it will turn. But is the drag worth it? I know a lot of people that run the buffs and love them. Guess well see.

Finally scored a set of front sand tires... Got scat track smooth buffs on blue labels for $50... Almost new. Now I just need the snow to melt so I can test em. Never had front sand tires before. Also got a set of sand tires unlimited razor backs on some blue labels from a friend for free..for zilla wheels so I gotta drill em out.. unless someone wants to trade? Need a second set for my wires trailblazer, which has same pattern as banshee.

I bent a needle night before dune trip, straightened it with pliers and called it good.

And you think they are better than stock?

So, I was upping jets to a 280, and had carbs apart. Well when I went to put brake side carb top on, my needle was bent at tip.... Going riding in morn, so I grabbed some pliers and straightened it. Left some teeth marks on it, but pretty straight. Was nervous I ruined trip, but it worked... Didn't catch. Went riding.. great sunny 50degree day. Had a little bog as it would come onto mid.. but quickly got over it. So now I'm done for a couple months. Need to get new needles... But not sure if I get a stocker or diff size? Bike runs great, 5000 ft elevation, stock except cpi inframes and k&n filter in box with no lid, Tors removed. Running 270 main in summer, 280 in winter. Needle one towards blunt (leaned), and stock pilot, air screws 1.75 out. Any suggestion on needles?

Went up to 280 and it spits a little oil... But with this cold air sure sound mean. I love winter.

Black frame and wheels is something I thought would always have been better looking than the silver on these 06's....

Strip and repaint the pipes.. gonna keep it stock until it needs a rebuild. Then ill take it to levan for a port.. U doing anything to urs? Isn't ur birthday tomorrow too?

I think my jumping on and shaking it pretending to ride it in the garage keeps it mixed.. I jump on and take a few hard corners sitting still every time I go to garage..

Just got an iPad 2. Camera sucks. But for surfing net when at home and having movies on the go for the boy, it works great. I got the 16 gig one, just take laptop with and switch out movies if needed.

Weekend after the birthday ride next Sunday if weather is decent...

Haven't started the bike in a couple months... Damn thing sure smoked a lot(half due to choke and half to cold cold out). Cold weather sure makes a diff. Gotta jet up a bit before next weekend.

I Think a good balance is 60/40. But only if the 70/30 is too much, just take both and try it out. See which one floats better and doesn't fly as much as the 50/50. If that doesn't work, you could always add more weights and eat less chicken. Hope that helps, thats how I did mine.

Clean ur bike? I treat it like my truck, drive thru mud puddles in construction sites and leave it... Looks bad assed and tough.. Seriously I spray it down with purple power and rinse. Air dries in the garage. WD on chain and sprockets.

It's cool, just reminded me of that, think it was Jr high when it was popular... What about making the letters out of parts, like nuts and bolts, pipes, swingers, wheels.. Even further... Jds outta some grills, steller outta some swingers/arms... Something like that. Their specialty?

What's the crown for on the q? It's pretty cool, kinda reminds me of the old stussy and yaga style clothes.

High temp bbq paint... From lowes, Walmart... Wherever. I'm gonna strip and redo mine this winter I'm going to heat them up first, and after second coat with my heat gun (1200 degree). That way the sand don't stick to them the first time I take them out.... I'm hoping.

Local bike shop should be able to get them. $20 ain't bad, considering the whole kit is $100...

Holy shit! I've had my Prm since I bought the bike in 07, got the belly and full swing arm one. Hit a bunch of big rocks hard and only scratched it. I try to avoid them tho, but sometimes blasting around a corner or a big ruted hill...you have no choice.
