  1. funny this reminds me of the movie Idiocracy..got the right carb tops now Flaturnin!
  2. No. Thankfully the thread on the carburetor tops is perfect and isn't stripped the caps make no contact with them, like they were for a 28mm or something they are not Kehin they look exactly like Mikuni tops just to big for this stock set. I did see Toomey racing has them listed for 9.99ea I will have to see what other parts I need and order them.
  3. well let's see i ask questions cuz its a forum, reason is TORS kit wrong cap and if it isnt sealing am i getting a false lean condition these are safety wired on but that isn't as good as a thread.
  4. any news? this is how Yamaha should be making them Now!! lol
  5. so I have these stock Mikuni's 26VM synced by eye after cleaning and jetting this correctly to a point. But these look like TORS replacement tops but these don't thread on to my carburetor bodies. I think there for 28 mm not stock 26mm. Is anyone familiar with a kit that wasn't sized correctly? also is Tommey the best place to just buy the carburetor tops? I saw there like 10$ea

  7. I forgot to mention I'm in the North East and do use Maxima 927 in the summer in my PE400. But since its getting below 40 degs i wont be using castor for the winter months. I have read it separates at these temps. Seems most use synthetic because of mix-ability and stability at these temps and then tend to stick with it . I can see that per oz cost on this isn't very good.@ $.30 an oz.
  8. the stop is bent forward. guess i'll be driving it back tomorrow. any tips on how to adjust this front end?
  9. ok I'll check an post back. I checked out that '90 of yours mine could be a '90 need to run the serial # where is it on the frame? I have J arms also I see yours are 2 over very nice.
  10. well? this has J arms and im unfimilar with steering locks on this. i have a feeling its cause the bushings have a lot of play and that the tie rods are set longer than they should be or mabye its cause the bushings have extra play but if i pull it back ward the wheels lay right over all the way over so pulling it back is a Bi@tch then the bar is forcing it straight dosent feel right,?
  11. New to me 89 Banshee's just traded a 98 Kx125 for this seemingly nice 89 Banshee. It has a full FMF fatty exhaust no air box lid and an adjustable timing plate @ +4 advance. I haven't looked at the reeds I think they are Boyseen as there is the sticker on it. when I got the Shee it had stock jets and the needle was in the 6th position found out that was just so it would start. Shee has the tors removed but the carb tops don't thread on their to big so I need two new tops. Shee now has 320 mains 30 pilot and 3rd clip position 1.5 turns out. The Shee runs like an ox now. but the bushings are hammered and when i pull it backwards the wheels flopp over and lightly lock making it tough to move the handle bars to straighten Shee out, but Shee does it is just stiff where it locks over. I'm setting the suspension back to stock as it was set low rider style with everything cranked down low. not a smooth ride yet. what will I need to do to correct all this? bushings sure tie rods? ball joints?
  12. which would be a better modification an athena big bore kit/other or a 4 mill stroker crank? im guessing both but if you were to do one of these ?
  13. think i might just have to go with some klotz now i will just have to find some close by for 12$
